Rated 5 out of 5 by ZhivagoJoe from My 3rd pair This is my 3rd pair of Columbia Bug-A-Boo Boots. My 1st pair I've had some 15+ years and still they're performing well and I enjoyed them for years... but due to gaining some weight in that same time...my feet got slightly bigger too! So, I purchased a 2nd pair (larger) and had some issues with them. Columbia replaced them with no issues and in a very timely manner! My new pair fit and perform very well. Very satisfied with both the boots themselves and the service I received from Columbia's Customer Service Department!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Locator from The first 9 hours. Took these out of the box before a 9 hour shift today. They felt true to size, warm, and comfy. I really like the laces, the ankle support, and the grip. Halfway through the day, my left ankle in the back began to get sore. I kept feeling both boots to see if it was a defect, because only one leg hurt. They feel the same. I realized the soreness was being caused from the point where the omni- heat shield stops. 9 hours in, both ankles feel bruised. There is a chance, but I don't think this is a need to break-in issue. There is a very hard seam there. There is also already a permanent crease in the toe area where the boot folds with each step. I made it a point, not to squat on my toes, so this is inevitable. I was going to post some pictures but I don't see where that's an option. I will follow up with another review in a weeks time

Rated 4 out of 5 by KBar7 from Great boot Very happy with the fit and quality of these boots. I'd rate some areas higher but I haven't had a snowy day to wear them out yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FireMedic from Very comfortable Recently moved to Washington, state, from Florida and needed to get some boots for the weather. Found these online and figured I would give them a try. They have been great when in snow, rivers or hiking. They have great traction and keep my feet dry / warm. Currently I am considering buying another pair so I would recommend them to anyone else. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by CFDMedic17 from Chicago Paramedic Loves titanium boots These Boots , save my feet throughout the harsh winter in Chicago. Wether I’m outside on a traffic accident , to walking through the snow filled side walks to save a life. These boots have not let me down. There are times we are on scenes for multiple hours in the elements. Traction, and the Omni heat are a plus. I’m always safe and warm in these boots. And the citizens of Chicago are safer too!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Winter33 from Snow boot I was looking for something for peak winter, and this fit the bill, while still being light weight.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ajake from Wet Feet I bought these for hunting and ice fishing and they were great the first winter (used maybe 5 days), although not the warmest, and this winter my feet come back wet every time. I think water is soaking through between the rubber sole and boot. I have used them maybe 10-15 times total and loved the boot until this second season..

Rated 4 out of 5 by CookieNonner from Quality Winter Boot This boot fits a litter larger than it should; however, that can be a good thing for thicker mountaineer insulated socks. The 400G insulation is concentrated in the heel and shaft of the boot. The front toe bed isn't well insulated and if you have poor circulation in your feet like me it isn't enough trekking through snow for extended periods of time. Aside from that, the boot is relatively light and has a firm grip planting into the snow. Though, the Michelin lugs don't really prevent slipping over ice or wet surfaces, so be careful how you carry and plant your feet. Definitely holds up well regarding weatherproofing and repellency. All in all, its a great choice over the Sorel brand Columbia owns as well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by WyEastNate from extremely frustrating buy How do I start this... one of the worst, most frustrating buys I've ever had to do. Usually I would purchase footwear in store, but considering all my other shoes and boots are 11.5, I thought I would order some online for once, huge mistake. I paid $20 some dollars for overnight shipping because I needed them asap for the job I do as a lift operator. When they arrived they were HUGE, they weren't even wide version. Customer service was very friendly, and provided me instructions how to get them exchanged ASAP. Drove downtown to get them exchanged (2 hour drive each way) but would not refund my shipping costs. The boots weren't available in the employee store, and I couldn't get them at near by locations because I'll have to pay full price for the same EXACT boot in a different size, from the same exact company. Very frustrating! So I had to re-order online AGAIN with the $20 shopping cost up top once again. I did get my shipping refund but a few days later, shouldn't have to be like this. Great new boots at my door again, me with problems... when I walk, it bends at the top of my toes, causing lots of pain, forcing me to get new insoles which helped a little bit, there goes another $50. Ok maybe they need to be broken in? Almost a month later, wearing them every day, still a bit of flex there, but getting better. New problem! Extreme pressure point on the side of my heel, if I loosen it then my foot slides, if I tie it tight for my foot to they in place then it's in pain. Lose lose situation, blisters or constant pain as I stand? I am about ready to return these and just be done with this line of boot, ill be trying one more trick, if that doesn't work then I'm done. These boots have been the most frustrating buy I've ever had when it comes to clothing. The only pros about these is that they keep me warm and are waterproof... that's about it...

Rated 5 out of 5 by IceMan195 from Almost the perfect boot So i purchased these on boxing day. When trying them on I wear a 10.5 - 11 in most shoes i own. (5.10, Reebok, Nike, Keen) I ended up getting a size 10. So when I got home i put them on to walk around the house and sort of break them in, and in about 10 minutes or so, my feet were warm and i had to take them off. This was something i haven't done with any other boots, so it kind of got me excited to test them outside. It was about -38 with wind chill in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I had to take my dog for a walk to i put on a thicker pair of socks and the boots on and ended up going for about 90 minutes, and my feet were sweating. The next day it reached about -32 with the wind chill and this time i wore some thinner ice breaker socks. Again it was about 90 minutes outside and my feet were not cold, and i could have stayed outside for much longer time as my feet were toasty. There are 2 negative aspects to these boots and mainly its probably just me, but the first thing i dislike is how high they go on your leg, when walking i feel like they are chafing my shin (which they are not) and it might be something i need to get used to. The second thing i dislike is the part of the boot on the toe were it flexes from walking, it made a discolored crease mark on both boots. Not sure if its suppose to do that or not, but it doesn't look nice on these boots. So in the end i haven't tried to see how water proof they are, but i can vouch that these boots are meant for frigid cold conditions. Anything above -10 these might be too hot for your feet. Rated 5 out of 5 by Kenny29t from Great pair of boots. The boots fit very well, even with thick wool socks. Feels great on my feet. At 2 dagrees, the boots work great. So hopefully with the -45 dagree rating, the Alaskan trip were going on at the end of the month the boots will work like there supposed too. We will see.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Simpson from Not warm Bought for my husband . We live in a cold climate and he wanted for ice fishing. Sales associate was helpful and said he uses them for ice fishing so figured they would be warm. He wore them 1x in snow so bow wear what so ever , his feet were not kept warm . Contacted customer service said we would have to ship boots to them and then they would determine if we could get credit back, no guarantee. Will not be returning to buy from Columbia again

Rated 5 out of 5 by LeoGA from Great winter boots! Love these boots. Very warm and comfortable. Just had one issue; I wish the grip was better. I sometimes feel I may lose balance, or slip in slushy and heavy snow conditions. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by Det2rrp from B.B. boots The boots kept me very warm during the big freeze this week. The boot is cutting into my left calf but its starting to break in. If it breaks in fully I would give it a 6 star review. I’ll check in later to see if the boots fully break in.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JEfromSLC from They work well but... The back on these are very stiff. I am concerned they will not "break in" and soften up. They kept my feet warm and I had thick socks on to pad the back of my calf, but they still hurt when I was walking in the snow. Hopefully they wear in a little and I will love them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DaveHa from True believer These boots fit great and are very comfortable. I wore them on a night where the wind chill made it feel like it was 10 degrees and the cold did not affect my feet. I specifically brought them for cold and wet conditions and I don't anticipate any failure in these quality boots.

Rated 3 out of 5 by upstreamcast from great feel but not warm Look, I love the look, feel and wear of this boot. I want to give it a "yes" recommendation. But it has a serious drawback because of the materials used in its build. The forward section of the toe box gets super cold and there is insufficient insulation in that region of the boot. Went shooting photos in the woods here in Central Alberta, air temp was - -8-12C, zero wind, snow depth maybe 6 -8 inches, and my feet froze, from the front back to the heel eventually -- even with a warm merino sock on my feet. It was slightly better but not satisfactory when walking but even then, not good enough. I know hikers. I know snow boots. Like I said, love this boot and its hiker feel/tread etc. But it is not a -40 boot- no way. Furthermore, my socks were cold and damp when i got the boots off, so I am not sure what that is about... could be that the rugged impervious outer/uppers seal in moisture. I am actually looking for a second pair of some other kind of boot, which is why I felt I should write this. I wish I could return these. Actually, I just wish they were as warm as suggested because the boot itself is a good winter hiker. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by AAYYILDIZ from AMAZING BOOTS FOR AN AMAZING PRICE I bought a Columbia jacket when I came to Canada and they were excellent, this time, when I was looking for boots I decided to buy from Columbia again and ran into these excellent boots, at the beginning I was in a dilemma however when I put them on, I realized that they were way lighter than other boots such as Timberland and Harley Davidson. Insulation is awesome so far, I tried them at-10 degrees and even though my socks were not that thick my feet were very very warm, so if you are looking for a reliable boot that would keep your feet warm for a long time I definitely suggest bugaboot. Rated 5 out of 5 by Bryce31 from Killer boot for a winter guiding I'm a professional snowmobile guide in the winter, and I needed a boot to replace my old Sorel's and I fortunately pulled the trigger and bought these. They are the best boot I've ever worn- my feet never get sweaty on the days above freezing, and the cold never penetrates on the super chilly days. The traction is great for walking around on slick ice and packed snow, and the things are so waterproof that I never worry about getting my feet wet when I stand in the bottom of the creek digging out a customer's sled. I've recommended these to all the other guides. Great product and super happy with the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BigRed70 from Bugaboot This is the second pair of Bugaboots I have had (the first lasted almost 10 years) and see no reason that I would even own a different pair. All of my winter gear is Columbia (including hunting gear) and their products are hands down to highest quality, most functional stuff out there.
