Great style, comfort, warmth and function
Very happy with this purchase. Was looking for a jacket that was water proof, light but with a warm lining. Enjoy that the hood is removable, so I can opt to wear as a light jacket going out without having the bulk of the hood when it’s not raining. I have worn out in the rain and did great at repelling the rain, my friend even noticed the rain beads on my jacket being repelled. Very satisfied with this purchase and will be buying a similar jacket for my girlfriend this Christmas.

Best jacket ever!
I have been wanting a soft shell for a few years now but for whatever reason haven’t pulled the trigger on getting one. I finally found one at the Columbia outlet stores that I fell in love with but after visiting about 6 stores with no luck in finding the correct size I decided to order this online because it looked similar. Let me just say that I am so happy I decided to order this jacket!! It’s so comfortable and the perfect thickness. I love the cozy inside of the jacket. Definitely not too warm and not too hot. Very functional. The sizing is great, I wouldn’t say it even fits small, it’s just more of an “athletic” fit which I like. I look forward to making this my everyday jacket! Thanks Columbia for always going above and beyond.

Exactly what I need for spring/fall
This soft shell is exactly what I need for wet spring/fall season. It's warm, water/wind proof. Removable hood, front chest pocket are all practical designs. My only complaint is the cuff. The velcro tab sometimes hooks my pocket. Moreover, It will be better if the cuff can be elastic. Then I don't have to loosen the velcro tab every time I take off the jacket. I have another Columbia jacket that has both velcro tab and elastic cuff.

Love this jacket!

Lightweight, but heavy at the same time. Good for cooler temperatures. The hood packs away easily. The external chest pocket is a must-have for me, and this one holds my cell phone without issue. Keeps you warm and looks great. Would recommend.

Great softshell jacket
Great softshell jacket with great features . Removable hoodie adjustable velcro on sleeves. Has a neck guard to protect your neck from the cold. Spacious hoodies for comfortable fit on Cold days. Ironically much softer than other softshells, made me doubt it was waterproof or wind resistant. Runs small but was able to keep it and is warm enough to use on some winter days. Definitely a great everyday jacket. Offered in many colors and at a great price.

Great Quality and Price
First impression, amazing jacket. At first you might think that the material used on this jacket isn’t waterproof when you feel it, but once it’s wet you’ll be surprised how well the water just runs right off. I could definitely notice a huge difference in the wind with this jacket versus some other jackets that I’ve worn. With this jacket, you really don’t feel the wind at all and it’s amazing. I love the pocket on the chest area - perfect for storing my phone AND wallet together and it’s not even noticeable that they are in there, so the pocket(s) have some really good capacity to them.
Everything about this jacket is pretty much as described, and for the price it’s honestly worth it. Keeps you warm very well on it’s own, or combine it with a hoodie underneath and you’ll definitely be good to go in any weather.
Oh, and the hood is detachable so if that’s not your thing or you really don’t have a need for it for the day, then just unzip it right off.
Love Columbia’s products and am critical about what I like, and I like this jacket. Thanks Columbia!

Sleeves too tight
Overall I like the jacket and it fits well except the sleeves are a little narrow for the size (2XL). I would also like to see some sort of polyester liner or something of the like inside the sleeves over the fleece to allow your long sleeve under shirt to slide through easily and not bunch up.

A great all year jacket
The poly shell was what I had sought to begin with, as it is great in wet weather. The lining is helpful while not being stifling. In warmer weather, it won't sweat you out, and colder climates, it will suffice. For those blistering days, throw a Columbia hoodie underneath like I did, and you're all set. The hood is a nice bonus on this type of jacket. I am thrilled, as you will be, with this purchase

Features are not true
There were 2 reasons why I bought this jacket: Water resistant and wind breaking. I did not have a chance to test the water but I'm pretty sure that it is not wind resistant. I felt all the wind in my body at 37F degree. Plus it does not keep your body warm. I was sitting at a cafe, I was not cold but it did not keep me warm too.
Columbia says in their brand tags: "WARNING: This innovative product will make you want to go outdoors and stay there." No, I did not want to stay there with this jacket. I think I can't return the jacket because I removed the jacket's tags. I also bought shoes from Columbia, but those were perfect. This jacket is not. The only reason that I don't give 1 star is that I don't know what kind of material and technology they used for this jacket.
Fitting wasn't good too. L is my size and I bought that size but jacket's armpit area is narrow and it does not leave your shirt or sweater to have flexibility inside the jacket. Bonus, arms of the jacket is a bit long and the body is a bit large.

Order your size
I love this jacket especially for the price I bought it. However, at checkout I was prompted to order a size down since they run large. When the jacket arrived I put it on immediately and to my surprise it was way too small. Don’t order a different size, order the size you actually wear. I had to return the product and I went to order another one and they were sold out.

Great jacket, not as warm as expected
I got this jacket to use in the colder climates. Generally, I overheat easily so a good fleece + windbreaker is enough. I have one other softshell jacket from another brand that seems to have a more wind-resistant shell as well as thicker fleece. Depending on how easily you get cold, this jacket may not be as warm as expected. I'd say it's good for around 60 degrees cool/breezy weather.
Quality is overall great, however, I think the cuff velcros should go further up the tab since the adjustment tab sticks out a bit due to the gap in the velcro and the end of the tab. The hood is a bit clumsy and doesn't sit well when not on, but it's removable so I have no complaints on that.
Pockets are well placed and nice and soft, it is a bit loose in the mid-section for those looking for a more fitted jacket.

Exactly what I was looking for. It was a great fit, very comfortable and versatile with the zip off hood. Zips up to provide nice neck coverage when needed. Pockets are ample and sleeve length is perfect. For some reason many jackets now have too short sleeves for me. I am 6 ft. and take a large but have been having trouble recently but this was a spot on fit.

I got a large. 6'1" ~165lb
It's fine for shoulders - arm length is a little long for me. The arms are strangely SKINNY though.
Overall quite happy. Water resistance is nice, coat looks nice. Alone it only works down to say 30F (with little wind). With a sweater under, you can go lower. With a sweater under and another fall jacket (I was experimenting) I was warm at low teens with wind blowing.
The hood is fine for me, I thought I saw someone complain about it.

This is a very solid, well made jacket. Has some insulation, but really more like a shell than a standalone. Good for temps in the 30s and above, or colder if you have some base layer underneath.
