Men's Crested Butte™ Hooded Jacket is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Survived a fall from bike, I like it better than thicker, heavier and expensive jackets I have tried a lot of the two-layer interchange jackets and the Columbia Outdry Ex Mogul jacket, none of them keep me warm, for some reason my shoulders and arms feel cold, not interested the Crested Butte jacket. I tried the Voodoo Falls 590 down as well, it's very similar to the Crested Butte jacket, but lighter and slimmer, I could feel wind seep through the Voodoo Falls but not through this artificial down jacket. I wore this jacket to work in 23F temperatures with two Baselayers (Columbia midweight and an Omniwool with 20% wool, 80 polyester) and it kept me warm enough for 10-15 minutes of walk. This jacket provided a more pleasant experience in 20F than any of the other jackets I tried (with the exception of the Spyder Leader which was the best I have tried so far, it has 100g of 3M Thinsulate insulation, it is thinner and lighter than any Columbia heavyweight jacket but it provides more protection and blocks more wind). Last night I fell off my bike (applied too much front brake) and scratched my finger when I met the tarmac. This jacket and the Columbia pants didn't have a scratch on them, they were just dusty. The only improvement I would ask for is hood adjustment. This hood is still decent and is better than the Outdry Ex Diamond Down Insulated jacket's hood (too big and comes too far down on my forehead). I am 6'1" at 150lbs and the Medium fits me perfectly. It doesn't bulge out in the front (unlike the down jacket including Outdry Ex Gold Down and Voodoo Falls 590 and some interchange jackets like Superpipe Slope and Rural Mountain II). It weighs 0.58kg according to my digital scale.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unhappy but still diehard Columbia customer Omni heat is magical....I have owned many Columbia jackets, and will continue to do so...unfortunately this crested butte jacket lasted only 2 months before the zipper busted...out of return date so have to invest in a new jacket. Have chosen other style....hoping for a little longevity. Might also add that the hood on the jacket is not adjustable so it does not secure and tighten around your head...previous to that had a Columbia that lasted 3 long winters in upstate NY

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Runs too large Quality is as expected for the price but it runs too large. I always wear L size but this L is more like an XL.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst jacket ever Flimsy, too large and no more than a wind cheater?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for moderate cold weathers Got it for Seattle weather.Works well for temperatures upto 40F. Beyond that its good to wear a base layer under it. Protects from rain as well. Definitely not for the east coast cold weather.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Functional problems and extremely light/flimsy/not warm Spring/fall jacket masquerading as a winter jacket. Could possibly use it over a serious fleece and a good base layer, but at that point it's mostly a wind shell, as there's very little to this garment insulation-wise. Also, the hood is very big and doesn't have elastic cinches, so it gets blown fully off your head in the wind, making it useless. First Columbia product that I'm probably never going to wear. Very disappointed.
