Rated 4 out of 5 by from Golf Comfortably In Cold Windy Weather This jacket has made my winter golf in northern Alabama much more pleasurable. It is very light weight, allows freedom of movement with fewer restricting under layers needed to stay adequately warm and it effectively breaks the wind. This jacket also makes walking my dog on cold nights a convenient pleasure since there is no need to layer-up. I am an ectomorph who gets cold easily; this coat has been my salvation. I gave it only 4 stars because the hood lacks a drawstring to tighten and I have a small head so I wear a sock cap and it then fits my head fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Men's Turbodown 890 Winter Jacket I try them on. It was perfect fit to my size. I am normally wear large, But i change it to Medium. It was a good fit size to wear it to keep you warm. I hope to wear it in the 10 degrees below zero weather. One thing that I do not like to wear is the winter hood. I never winter hood in all my life. But, I had to let it go. It is a good bargain price to buy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light weight jacket for air travel This is a great jacket for mild winter conditions and for winter travel to the tropics. In the past, i use to leave my parka in the vehicle at the airport because i didn't to haul around a big heavy jacket on my tropical vacation. The problem is that a few times, we came back to stupid cold temperatures and i had no jacket to get to the car. Now i will use this jacket because it's very light and thin so you can stuff it in a small space in your luggage. I love it. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Columbia logo on the back? Really? Lose the logo on the back of the jacket. Isn't it enough that the columbia logo is on the front of the jacket? Do you really need to put it on the back too? This is the only turn off of this jacket. Everyone I talk to says they like the jacket but don't like the logo on the back. For that matter this is also true with the other jackets you have that have Columbia going down the sleeve or lower back. The T on the arm is fine. Also don't make the logo color a big contrast to the jacket color. Change the logos color to something like dark grey on a black jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absoutely Love it Ultra light-weight, warm and its Deep Rust colour somewhat resembles the Iron Man Suit, while the letter "T" of Titanium somewhat resembles Tesla Motors; overall, money well spent, highly recommended!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice, but not as warm as expected I had a Compactor Down Hooded Jacket with 800 fill power down that had a broken zipper that I returned for warranty service. I loved that jacket but apparently, mine wasn't reparable and they don't have that model anymore. I was given a credit which I applied to this jacket. I figured it would be equal to and possibly an upgrade of my previous one. All in all, it IS very much comparable in styling, fit, weight. (I'm 6' and a rather lanky 185 lbs and the medium fits me nicely) However, and there's no real way to actually compare, it seems that this jacket isn't as warm/doesn't insulate quite as well. I often wore the old one on cold days with only a t-shirt underneath and seemed to stay quite toasty. But on a late-night dog walk with temps in the low 50s (unseasonably warm around here) I didn't feel altogether comfortable with just a t-shirt beneath the jacket. I could be imagining things, but, that's my initial impression of this new jacket. I also must say that I preferred the exterior chest security pocket on my old model. This model has the pocket inside so you must unzip the front to access this pocket. Also, I'm disappointed that the logos are a heat-sealed "print" rather than embroidered (Columbia logo on chest; turbodown on sleeve; Titanium logo on shoulder; Columbia logo on back (completely unnecessary, by the way)). Prior to my compactor with hood jacket (whose logos were embroidered), I had a hoodless compactor that had these same heat-sealed prints and over the course of about 2 seasons of wear, peeled and eventually fell off. I'm hoping this jacket's logos age better and don't suffer a similar fate. That all said, it's a nicely constructed, lightweight, good looking, pack-able jacket suited best for Spring and Fall. I'll either have to step up my layering game for this jacket to be worthy of true winter use, or just go with my much heavier Mountain Hardware puffy jacket. I, personally, think this jacket is slightly over-priced but Columbia's unmatched repair/replacement warranty comes along with it, so, in the long run, it's probably worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Chicago weather, great jacket I purchased this jacket for my son who is in Chicago, a true test for being wind-proof. The best part is that is seems totally wind proof and adjusts to the necessary "warmness" or cold of the environment. He can go out in -10 degree F weather and then sit in a classroom without having to take off the jacket. Also, the hood folds flat, stays out of the way, and is easy to put up and stays up, comfortably, even in wind. This jacket fits great in the shoulders, not too long in the arms and with the adjustable drawstring at the waist, it is perfect. The fit is true to size, with a strangely amazing feature, that although it cannot be possible, it seems to almost expand to allow the fit of a muscular upper body, without being bulky.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Buy The Jacket is really lightweight and provides good warmth. It seems to adapt to the temperature outside. When the temperature is in the 40s it is not too warm. I have worn it when the temperature is in the 20s and the jacket provided decent warmth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm Jacket, Easy to Pack This jacket is sized right for a Large. I am 6'4" 185lbs with 37" sleeve length arms. So this jacket's sleeves were 1.5-2" too short. Unfortunately Columbia does not offer its warmer / warmest coats in Tall sizes. I usually get a large tall size and even then, the sleeves are not always long enough. I thought I would try my luck and order the large (I was desparate to find a warm jacket!). I ended up having to return it. But the coat was very nice for most cold weather, above single digits. If you wear a layer underneath it, it could work in colder temps. Good looking too! Wish it fit! Columbia, please offer more of your products in Tall sizes!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I have had this jacket for a couple of weeks now and have to say I am very pleased with this purchase. I wore it in mild temps and didn't get hot (30's). Yesterday I was out in 10 degree temps with a T-shirt underneath. My feet got cold but upper body stayed really warm. I was just walking around for about an hour showing a contractor what I needed to get done. As light as it is I really was surprised how good it kept me warm when needed and not to hot on milder days.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Strange Fit I had high hopes for this jacket. You're probably reading the reviews, like I did, to make sure this jacket is worth the price tag. The short of it...it depends on your preference of fit style. I'm 5'11", 185 lbs, 42" chest, and 33" waist (athletic, but not "skinny"), so I ordered a Medium based on Columbia's sizing chart (as a reference point, I wear a Medium Patagonia nanopuff that fits perfectly). Personally, I thought the fit of this jacket was terrible. I could pull the jacket 6 to 8 inches away from my chest/upper stomach. I ended up trying out the jacket for the weekend snowshoeing and skiing up in the mountains. It was plenty warm with windy temps in the mid 20s (F), although its hard to tell if the jacket gets any of that credit as I had to layer up just to fill all that extra space. I ended up returning the jacket thinking I would re-order as a small (potentially my only piece of "small" clothing). I decided instead to wait until I could try on a small in the store. The fit of the small was equally awkward, so I decided to abandon this product due to the fit. I couldn't justify buying a jacket that relies on wearing a second layered jacket just for it to function properly, hence the average rating on "function". Since the fit of a jacket is a personal preference, I would only recommend you try this jacket on in-person before buying as the Columbia return policy requires you to pay for return shipments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and super light Got this as my main winter coat and couldn't be happier. I live in Colorado and the weather changes a lot. This coat is great because it is so light that it is no problem to carry around with me and when I need it I stay toasty warm. Has held up great over the last year. Still looks new. Love the black with white accent colors and blue reflective material. Highly recommended!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Light weight but not warm in mid 30 degree This jack is very light but not warm enough with one layer cotton long sleeve in high 30 degrees. The material feel not very durable/easy to rip. The down material are not compact/tight and can see through. This jack is for Spring or Fall and not for Winter.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Thank you Colombia for refunding me promptly... I paid $$$ for this jacket to uprade from a very cheap Jacket I had bought from a hardware store. I am sad to say that this jacket was warm as or less warm than the cheap jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very warm Great insulating product, especially in extreme cold, that I wear under my shell for skiing. Just wish that an athletic cut was offered for this style jacket. I wear an XL which is bulky around the waist line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Large fits me well I'm writing this review to help people out with the sizing as the other reviews were very helpful for me in ordering the correct size. The large fits me well and I'm a slim tall guy (6 foot 5/195cm and 85 kg/187lbs). The sleeves are long enough for me and I have long arms. The back could be an inch or two longer but I am quite tall so I didn't expect it to be long. The jacket looks great but it's not going to replace my Columbia porter down jacket when it gets really cold. It's definitely not as warm as the porter down, which is a thicker down jacket from Columbia and my daily winter jacket. I do run a bit cold but there is a noticeable difference in warmth between the two jackets. I took it out in zero degrees Celsius with a t-shirt, hoodie and a Columbia fleece underneath and I wasn't overly warm, especially the lower back felt a tiny bit chilly. So it's going to be an end of winter/chilly fall/spring jacket and not something I can wear when the winter gets really tough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great weight to warmth I have worn this jacket in some pretty miserable weather and it is extremely warm. I love that it packs down small and I can throw it in the pack just in case I need it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Every Penny I hesitated a bit because of the price on this jacket, but I eventually took a shot and bought it and it has been worth every penny. I'm 6'3/180lbs so I'm slim but this jacket fits PERFECTLY in Large. Arm length is great (might even be a bit long for someone of average height), and the body isn't baggy but there's enough room to comfortably fit a sweatshirt under it if need be. It's super warm (lowest temp I've worn it so far was 0 degrees, FYI) and the black/hyper blue interior looks awesome. Has a drawstring at the bottom so you can seal it up and the left pocket flips inside-out so you can shove the whole jacket into itself. Definitely give this one a try if you're looking for new jacket. Don't be deceived by the lack of weight when putting it on either. Weight doesn't equal warmth anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing warmth, very comfortable I've had this jacket for about a month now and I wear it almost every day! It's incredibly warm, especially for the weight. I worn it out in below freezing for a couple hours and didn't even notice the cold. I really appreciate the hood. It has elastic around the opening that holds the hood to your face without have to mess with draw cords.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from looks can be deceiving I received my jacket and was at first surprised at how light it was. Once I opened it, I was surprised at how thin it was. While it is very attractive, I thought from the images on the website that it would be thicker. I'm not sure it will be warm enough for my needs. Unfortunately, I live in south Florida and won't be able to test it in the cold until my next trip to the Colorado Rockys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, light, but fragile I'll keep my review short and sweet. This jacket is very warm I was able to use it in 0deg weather with only a short sleeved shirt underneath for medium sized walked with my dog in the naboughborhood. I wasn't warm through the whole walk but definitely not cold either so with one more long sleeve underneath it would have been perfect. I run slightly warm though so anyone who gets cold easily won't have my same experience. This jacket is light and packable, that's the main reason I got it so I could take it backpacking. The down side to this is the material is flimsy, not overly flimsy I couldn't just tare it on a bush I was walking past and brushed agenst but definitely not going to take this rock climbing anytime soon. With future innovations in fabric I would love to see something a little bit stronger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Your Recommended Warmest The jacket fits very well and is well made. I haven't yet tested it in sub-zero temperatures, so I don't know its "Function." I would add to it an adjustable cord in the hood, such as on the Turndown 860 and other, similar jackets, and Velcro closures on the sleeves at the wrists, instead of only having elastic there. This is an excellent product, well designed to resist water permeation of the outer shell and down interior. I believe it will serve me very well

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing light weight puffy This jacket is very light weight but surprisingly warm. I wear it alone most of the time and throw a shell over it when I'm skiing. It stuffs into it's own pocket so it's a great travel jacket too.
