OutDry™ Extreme is our first ever waterproof and breathable fabric technology constructed with a waterproof layer on the outside and soft, wicking fabric inside. Traditional raingear uses interior waterproof membranes which don't allow for air flow, and water-repellent coating that degrades over time. With OutDry™ Extreme, the rugged exterior is an incredibly water-tight membrane with millions of microscopic perforations that let water vapor escape through a wicking membrane directly fused to the shell.

Part of the Titanium line, this fully seam sealed down jacket solves all your problems: it’s exceptionally warm without being heavy or bulky, and it’s as waterproof-breathable as it gets. We combined 800-fill power goose down insulation that’s been treated for water resistance with our innovative OutDry™ Extreme technology, the first-ever waterproof and breathable fabric constructed with a rugged, long-lasting waterproof layer on the outside and soft, wicking fabric inside. That’s right, a waterproof, down-insulated rain jacket. This cold and wet stopping coat features 2-way pit vents, a 2-way front zipper, contoured cuffs for more coverage at top of hand, and a snap-back powder skirt to seal out wayward snow on those super deep days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product, but beware of size The product is larger than my usual size. I wear L for coats and jackets. But this size L is too large. I gave it to a friend, and then I bought another, size M this time. Anyway, the product is excellent, warm and comfortable

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket This is a nice jacket. I feel warm and comfortable. Totally waterproof. The only thing is that is a bit larger. I usually wear M (sometimes L), i’m 183 cm and 80 kg. This is a M jacket and it is just a little big for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Titanium Jacket! A year ago I bought men's outdry ex gold down hooded jacket. It's similar jacket but thinner with 700 fill power goose down. Perfect only with layer under and not too cold weather. This one is for skiing and cold weather. I read all reviews about size and ordered Medium. I am 5'11'' 195 lbs. I usually go with Large but this one runs effectively larger then the other. Medium is right on me! I'm very happy about this jacket like all others Titanium products. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Ski Jacket Excellent ski jacket. I've used it skiing as cold as -28 C and as warm as +6 C and have been comfortable at both ends of the temperature spectrum. Very light weight and comfortable. Great fit around ski helmets. Jacket fits a little larger than other Columbia base layer / spring jackets jackets of the same size but the extra room just allows for the use of base layers which is a good thing. I wear large across the Columbia jacket line, and the jackets for warmer weather are more fitted than the cold weather jackets; makes sense. I read that some people needed to wash the coat after sweating in it in warmer weather. I noticed a odor when the jacket was new and I sweated in it for the first time too, but I turned it inside out for the night and the odor was 100% gone and didn't come back; I have yet to wash the jacket. Summary: excellent ski jacket, I recommend it 100%. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Warm for the Clammy Days The reason why I bought this down is for the clammy winter in NY. And it really helps when walking outside.
Date published: 2018-03-05
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fragile and not that warm After a while the material under the zipper is peeling off. I have cut thru the material twice already. This is not made for below minus 5C without putting anything warm under. The collar is too wide. But it looks very good. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect There are three things keeping this well-made jacket from being perfect: 1. I was shoveling snow in it for a good hour and was sweating enough to where I needed to wash it afterwards. I followed the instructions to machine wash it and the insulation in each cell bunched up to the edges and it was super hard to redistribute throughout the jacket. 2. The hood is a little bit problematic. Most jacket's hoods are goofy when not in use, so that's kind of expected, but when you have to use this one, the proportion of it to the size of the rest of the jacket seems a bit big. Maybe it's for skiers that wear helmets? It falls down over my eyes and blows off with a little wind. 3. This one is more a problem I have with lots of clothes; I feel like I'm a normal size and dimension person. I'm 6'3 and slender. The "trunk" of this jacket (in medium) fits me perfectly, but the sleeves are a good 2-3 inches short when I reach out in front of me. If I get the large, I only get one extra inch in the sleeves, but an additional 6 inches in the chest and waist. I was swimming in the large and the sleeves still weren't a great length. I wish they had a Medium/Tall. Other than that, this jacket is exceptional in every way. Super warm, but breathable, not bulky, decent pockets. You should surely get it ... if you're an average size person.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Happy with this jacket I wanted a jacket that would keep me dry as well as warm when I walk the dogs, clean the driveway or do anything when it's cold and damp. This jacket fits the bill perfectly in my opinion. It's been very cold and snowy this winter. I have used this ice fishing on a day when it rained in the morning and was down to minus 17 C in the afternoon. Stayed dry and warm. XXL allows me to layer under it, and I love the powder skirt to keep the wind out. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and dry, not warm and clammy I probably owned the very first Gore Tex product ever produced and I’ve gotten used to being Gore Tex dry, which really means being damp. So, of course, when I first heard the claims around OutDry Extreme I was skeptical. Boy, was I wrong. Skiing in the Pacific Northwest really tests you on how much you’re willing to endure for the love of your sport. Most of the time, the snow is barely not liquid – It’s not a matter of, will your gear wet out, it’s when. The first time I used my OutDry Extreme puffy, the conditions were so bad that even the locals were like, no – rain at the bottom of the run, sleet at the top. My OutDry Extreme puffy was heroic. Warm on the ride up, comfy on the ride down and I stayed dry all day. OutDry Extreme is the best kept secret in the ski apparel industry – there’s nothing like it if your mission is to stay warm, dry and happy. My ski pants were Gore Tex Pro and they wetted out after the second run. I can’t wait to upgrade those this winter to ODX.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Re: Recommendation which jacket to buy This jacket works well in cold wet air and looks masculine and durable, not whimpy like the soft rain jackets ive seen lately. The worst cold is the wet kind whereas the temp guage doesnt make sense or is as impressive as a dry below zero cold. Black is more like dark chocholate color

Rated 5 out of 5 by from is awesome Hello, I can recommend this jacket, I have a few days of having bought it but I use it twice and it is comfortable, light and important keeps me warm, I live in Anaheim near San Bernardino California, I went with my wife ASilverwood Lake State and the day was very windy and cold and I really felt very happy to have bought this jacket, it is formidable how light it is and no longer as heavy and uncomfortable as before. like in the past. The technology works great for the active life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm AND waterproof Awesome coat! This past Saturday Was 18 degrees Fahrenheit and 25 mph winds. Was out in it most of the day for my job. My customers were all complaining about the frigid combination. I didn't even realize how cold it was!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight Seems a bit too expensive for what you get. It doesn't seem too rugged of an exterior. Not sure I would backpack with it. Prob rip on a tree. Also didn't seem to warm at 20 degrees going to work, but all I had was undershirt and dress shirt underneath. Have yet to test with heavy base layer and mid with it Probably be pretty warm,. It is very lightweight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mineral Yellow Ex Diamond Down Jacket This jacket is perfect for New York City Winter weather , one that is very cold and wet. I am confused sometimes what to wear when it rains and it is very cold. This jacket solves both problems as it is waterproof. I use this also when I ride my bicycle . I really like it because its breathable. This jacket is also very light and I love the Mineral Yellow color .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Ultimate Down Jacket I had been using the Outdry rain jacket and found it to be extremely water resistant. Water just beads up on the outside and shakes off when the rain stops or when you go inside. The fabric does not seem to "wet" at all. I thought that this would be a good shell material for an insulated jacket. This garment has a softer hand than the rain jacket and will make a fine ski jacket for NW conditions. This one will be my favorite for this coming season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievablly warm! I bought this product to use on a motorcycle while commuting in the winter. At 30 degrees and 75 mph I thought I would feel the cold somewhere, instead, I only felt the pressure of the wind on the jacket. Absolutely amazing product . If they ever make matching pants, I will buy them in a heartbeat !
