Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good shoes for Kayaking Thanks for selling this product. It is easy to wear, comfortable, and pretty. The only complain is the right shoe which has not been sewed carefully. The Ribbon is not straight and not sewed the same is left pair. It is not a big deal though!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Columbia is missing the boat !! Columbia is marketing these shoes as water shoes. There are so many other big market segments for these shoes !! Columbia can easily re-position these shoes in to at least two other larger market segments. These are my favorite shoes. I have Nike, New Balance and other brands of shoes. These shoes by far are so much better. Highly recommend them!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best thing since slice bread These shoes are awesome. I kayak in them all the time. When your wade fishing in the ocean and getting back in forth in your kayak you need something that drains quickly and is light weight. Surprisingly enough as well they tend to not get as much mud stuck to them as wading boots do. Best thing is though you can wear them all the time, because historically you would have to swap from boat shoes to waders to get in the water and vice verse after. These do it all. One stop shop water shoe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Water Shoe The Drainmaker shoe is a solid alternative to the traditional water shoe. I mean this both literally and figuratively. This shoe is a vast improvement in rigidity, stability and cushioning over traditional water shoes. As far as drying, draining, and long use periods, this is a stellar product. It falls a little short as far as sand retention goes. Once you get sand in (which will pass through the mesh tops) it's not coming out through the drains. The other issue stems from the inner material. While you wear these with no sock, there's gonna be some chaffing on your achillies for a while. Regardless, I'd recommend this shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding for what it is I bought these for functional purposes and they deliver. They really hold their shape and have some of the coolest insoles around. I sort of wish all of my shoes had an insole that breathes like these. It's utility to the max. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best all around Shoe! Simply the best all round shoe I have owned, it's great for almost any activity comfortable enough to wear all day. This is my third pair, and they have not disappointed. The life span of the shoe is much longer than your standard shoe. Highly recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Drainmaker Very comfortable - would like to have more grip when on a boat deck - also a little more cushion and arch support would make them much better. Weight was excellent and breathability was good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Drainmaker 3 The product is a fantastic cross between hiking shoe and water shoe. It worked great for portaging thru Algonquin Park. From my experience with this product I could have used a little more hiking support in the shoe. Looking forward to seeing further development in this product line. Keep up the great work Columbia!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe My husband wanted a lightweight shoe that could get wet and dry quickly. It also needed to be comfortable. This shoe was both. Very happy with it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from disappointed by the newer version I have an earlier version of the Columbia watershoes from a few years ago. One of my favourite pairs of runners: light, comfortable, lasted forever. The newer Drainmaker lll is a disappointing evolution. Heavier and "clunkier" in all respects. I wanted something light for the beach and the boat. If I wanted a heavier and more durable trail shoe, I would have bought one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than any typical water-shoe, hands down. After being fed up with generic, cheap water-shoes, being the fan of Columbia that I am, I decided to purchase a pair of the Drainmaker III's. Where I live, the beaches are very rocky and littered with shells and it's unbearably painful to walk on them barefoot. These are great because if I go in the water and come out, most of the large shells and rocks will drain out, along with water (if they even get in to the shoe in the first place, since they fit nicely around my ankles) - While every water-shoe I've used could not even do as simple of a thing as drain water. I used these for sailing as well as I had always used sneakers (because they have nice grip on the wet boat surfaces), but these are better because they have the same design and grip of a sneaker and I don't have to trash my shoes that aren't made to take the salt-water. It's as simple as hosing them down at the end of the day so that they stay fresh and don't get disgusting. Once again, I love all of my products from you guys at Columbia and I definitely recommend these to anyone who meets the same circumstances for use as the ones that I've just mentioned.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shoe, but not for my foot. I know it's a bit weird to recommend a shoe that didn't work out for me - but I still will. I bought this shoe for a trip to the Philippines, where I would be constantly in and out of boats/beaches for 5 weeks. I bought a size 11, when I'd normally wear a 10.5 - and the fit was great paired with a very thin wool sport sock. I walked 10000-15000 steps each day in these, in and out of the water - for the entire 5 weeks. They performed really well, and dried quicker and cleaner than any other shoe I've ever owned. The only downside, was that both shoes started to develop holes near where the pinky toe would meet the edge of the shoe - right near to where the seem meets the sole. Over time the holes got bigger, about 1.5-2" - right along the seam. Not sure why it happened, as I don't have wide feet - but it must've been a fluke, no one else has had an issue like mine. CS took care of everything, thanks guys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fishing guide seal of approval I am a fishing guide in Florida and have put these shoes through everything you can imagine... saltwater, harsh sun, long hours on a boat & frequent visits to the washing machine have barely done a thing to ruin these bad boys. I will admit that when I received my first pair I was concerned over the light weight "feel" in the way that they were constructed. Needless to say my concerns were unwarranted as these shoes have held up very well. Because of the long hours standing on a boat, my greatest concern in looking for proper footwear was whether or not it would help in alleviating lower back pain. As any boater knows, standing for long periods of time on a rocking boat can wreak havoc on your lower back. Once again these shoes have proven their worth. The lower back pain I've had while wearing other brands and styles of shoe is nearly non-existent with the Drainmakers. Another great function of these shoes is their breathability. Guiding in the hot Florida sun is murder on the feet and these shoes have kept my feet dry and comfortable in even the most horrid of Florida summer days. I would highly recommend the Drainmaker to anyone that boats, fishes, kayaks or just likes to spend alot of time in or near the water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite water sport shoes I'm a kayak angler so water shoes are a must. These by far are my favorite! Fits great, water drains out quickly and I can wear them with normal clothes when not kayaking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Men's Drainmaker 3 Review Most comfortable casual shoe I have had. Soft material is comfortable and conforms to your foot. No hard edges or surfaces to cause abrasion as can be common in this shoe type. I wear a 13 and I find many competitor's 13 shoes a bit tight. These fit my feet perfectly. I get requent comments from people about how sharp the shoes are - and the great colours - but the best thing is that they are COMFORTABLE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drainmaker III Love these shoes so much I don't want to get them wet. They are great looking, comfortable and COOL. When I walk into an air conditioned room I can feel the cool through the shoes. I generally wear a 13 wide. Bought these in 13 and they fit well. I would make this purchase again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best water shoe I can find so far! I bought these and the Men’s Megavent Shoe while there was a great sale going on here. I wanted to try several of their water shoes. The only other difference between the two are the removable inserts. Men’s Megavent Shoe one has a solid round foam insert where your bottom of your heal goes. I like the way the string is more and I hate tieing shoes. Altho this pair is my new "go to summer shoes". They are much more comfortable on the top of the foot/toe area because of the softer fabric against the skin. I do not wear socks and hate wearing shoes and prefer flip-flops or bare feet, so I won't wear socks until it gets cold enough for them. I should say some thing to Columbia about the problem, but I think they already know. I wish there was a store to try these things on before buying and still get the great price break. They should use the other shoe with the string and insoles from this shoe and make one great shoe. These are like pillows compared to what I normally wear and great feeling support. Columbia asked me to write a review and they are only about one week old. I bought a boat load of their goods on sale and some haven't had a chance to be used yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best water shoe out there!!!! I got my first pair of Columbia water shoes 6 years ago and now they are the only water shoe I will buy. I still wear my first pair even though the rubber on the bottom is almost warn through. They work great and last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from my first Columbia shoes I really liked the way the shoe looked, and the tech/principal of the heavy ventilation. I am really happy to say they feel great, very comfortable , look great, very competitive price. I'm sure they won't be my last pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Legit shoe... This shoe fits and wears like a running shoe. Extremely comfortable with a bit more support than your average running shoe. Very light. Easy addition to my pack. I use them for fishing, canoeing, hiking (light, short distance), rock climbing, swimming. Doesn't dry quite as fast as I thought it would (about a day in sunlight/85% humidity or about a half hour hanging out the car window ;D ), but it drains excess water very well (and fast) and wears well even when damp. No blisters which is no. 1 !!! Overall a great shoe. Thank you, Columbia... p.s. fits true to size, but if you're in between a size 12 and 13 like me, go ahead and the the 12. Its roomy enough even with socks. Ha!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoe! I was looking for a fishing shoe that would work in the boat and that would provide foot protection . . . and stay on . . . when it was necessary to wade or push the boat over shallow spots, etc. This shoe does a great job of accomplishing both!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for aqua fitmess: higly recommended I use this for aqua fitness 3-5 times a week and am completely satisfied: light weight, dries fast and provide a little bit of ascending force in water, which helps in deep water aqua training. Only a minor issue is that you need to have double knot for a long training in water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drainmaker III Ordered my 2nd pair of Drainmakers....first pair were the Drainmaker II and now the Drainmaker III. Great fit and perfect for kayak fishing and water sports in general. I wanted my shoes to be slightly snug for peddling my kayak and not too big so I took a chance and ordered according to the size chart and not what I normally wear...size 11. They fit and feel awesome...great quality, fit and comfortable to the point to where I now use them as casual shoes while walking or working outside

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Vacation Shoes Took these shoes to Playa Del Carmen for a week and they were great. In and out of the water all of the time they held up very well and dried very quickly. I also wore them to travel on the plane to and from there, as well as around town at night (with socks). These are pretty much the most versatile tennis shoes I've ever owned.
