Men's EvaPOURation™ Jacket - Big is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Rain Jacket for the $$ I bought the blue Men's EvaPOURation Jacket in 3XL. With the discount coupon, it was an incredible deal for a very good rain jacket. This is NOT a wind breaker; some have complained it did not protect from the wind or cold very well. Well, it's not a windbreaker nor a fall jacket. It's a RAIN coat. It's intended to protect you from the wet rain. And it does that quite well. While it is not a windbreaker, it does provide some protection from the wind. A fleece underneath would help with the wind and cold. The jacket is a little on the large size so it can fit over your outer clothing including a light fleece, jacket or sweater. The jacket has reasonable ventilation with armpit vents that can be zipped open and mesh pockets that can help move sweat and moisture out of the jacket. But on a hot humid day, you will still get wet inside the jacket. This is not Gore-Tex or similar material which cost 4-6 times as much. But you will not sweat as much as those polyvinyl jackets either. It's a compromise on price. Pay $250-$500 if you want a higher quality jacket that breathes through the material. Overall, I am happy. It is a reasonable price for a big man rain jacket that protects from the rain and does not get too clammy inside the jacket on hot humid days or lots of physical activity. The hood is a good size that does not flop down over your forehead. It also has a draw string to wrap around your face. Although I still would recommend a baseball cap to help with this aspect. The jacket folds up into one of the pockets into about a 7" x 9" bag. Would have been nice if Columbia provided instructions or a video showing how to do this. I figured out that I could fold up the jacket neatly and then stuff it into the pocket to minimize wrinkling. But even when I just shoved the jacket into the pocket like a stuff sack, the wrinkles eventually fall out over a few hours. So kudos for the minimal wrinkling. The mesh pockets feel a little odd and I suspect keys and sharp items may get snagged. But the mesh is part of the ventilation system to move moisture away from the body and out the unzipped pocket. So unzip those pockets! All in all, a high quality rain jacket for a very reasonable price. My one request, an outside chest pocket to hold a cell phone. Sometimes you see this on higher priced jackets. but your cell phone will fit fine in the hand pockets with no issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Review This jacket is nice, but I expected it to be a little heavier made for colder days, but as far as wind and rain go, it works perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from EvaPOURation jacket I haven't used this a lot since the weather turned dry right after receiving this item. However, the quality feels good, and I'll soon test with the garden hose. The only thing I notice is that it is a bit short in the body for me. I may want to buy a tall next time. I normally wear 3xltall but thought the 4x would be tall enough while providing room for insulating layers during winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I enjoy the jacket. The only thing was that it gets a bit hot inside. It sticks to your skin but overall during the heavy rain it works perfect. Was dry the whole time while walking to my car for school. Overall like the jacket

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfort in the rain! I love this rain jacket! I have worn it a number of times on long walks along the river, in the rain. I am completely dry and comfortable . I think the appearance of the rain jacket is very good too.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Eh.. This is actually the first product from Columbia that I didn't love the first time I wore it. The title is evapouration. but it doesn't do much of that. It feels more like a reducing suit than a jacket that wicks sweat. Shortly after coming in contact with my skin it was wicking sweat right out of my skin. It's certainly good at stopping wind and rain. I was hoping this would be different than other jackets of ths type, but it's pretty much the same.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Waterproof maybe not so much Great thin layer jacket. Got it for out doors and coaching and walks at the ocean. Great jacket but not really a rain jacket seems leak.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mortorcycle coat I bought this coat to ride my motorcycle! Protects good ammount of wind, and rain even at high speeds. Love this coat. The warranty also makes this a real amazing deal! The hood is also really nice and fits my head perfectly compared to other brands. A+

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket This jacket is perfect, elastic around the wrists and lightweight. Only issue is I am not crazy about the white inner liner and keeping it clean without overwashing the coat. I hope Columbia continues making all of their jackets and clothing in big and tall sizes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy this! The shipping was crazy fast, but this is the first Columbia product I don't like. The sizing is accurate, but the product isn't worth the price. It isn't very comfortable, it's very stiff. There is just a liner in it, so in Utah weather it's not very functional. A poncho from Walmart would've been a more economical purchase. I will be sending this back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, thin, raincoat I bought the exact coat for myself several months ago. Living in the Deep South, we rarely need more than a lightweight rain jacket. My husband loves his too. However, he is 6'2 and could have used the tall version of this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rain jacket Got that jacket from a trip to Switzerland and Germany. Just before leaving I saw they call for rain for 7 of my days 10! So order that jacket in a hurry. I am so glad I did. I could visit and stay dry. The weather was cool too, around 3 - 5 degree C and with a little Columbia polar fleece, I was good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Jacket As much as I want to use this jacket, not much rain, here in the west, so all I can say is that I like the fit and it feels comfortable to wear in spite of no rain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Raincoat I bought this for my bf who walks and takes the BART into SF for work everyday. He didn't need something really warm, just something to keep him dry and cut the wind chill. He's between sizes (3-4x) and we went with the 4x. It wasn't excessively big but he still has room to layer should he need to. The moisture wicking material was a big plus as his previous windbreaker (not waterproof) used to make him sweat, a lot. This jacket has really cut down on the excessive sweating and protects him from the SF weather. This is our first Columbia purchase and we highly recommend!
