Men's EvaPOURation™ Jacket is rated out of 5 by 77.
Rated 4 out of 5 by ColumbiaNUT from Great option for the rain Excellent rain coat with a good fit. Keeps you dry and comfortable in the biggest of rains. I did find that it was difficult to zip up sometimes due to the material of the coat. Not a huge issue, but can take some extra time just put on your coat when you want to move quickly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MonteH from Misleading product name This is a great rain jacket for misting rains and light drizzle, but POURing rain....not so much. I bought this jacket for a 3 day backpacking trip that we were expecting rain, and it rained almost the entire time. The jacket kept me dry for about 30 minutes. After that, I was soaked to the core. It is definitely water resistant, not water proof. The name EvaPOURation suggests that it is capable of remaining dry during a downpour, but it won't. Other than its inability to keep one dry, it seems to be a well made jacket.

Rated 3 out of 5 by iCully from Basic good waterproof jacket Poor fabric and design. This jacket fits kinda funny, runs large, feels like a tent. Not like the competitor’s jacket. I buy one of these thin, pack-able jackets every couple years. This doesn’t have the same waterproofing I am used too. I won’t purchase this brand’s jacket again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Goldilocks56 from Wetter inside than out! Just doesn’t function as advertised. Bought for a trip to a colder, wetter climate. Hiked over varies terrain, so I did perspire. Arm vents didn’t help. Jacket was wetter on the inside than out. Soaked my shirt. Ended taking off the jacket in disgust. No less wet, but less hassle. Poor description or poor design. Maybe both. .

Rated 5 out of 5 by CCraig from Great Jacket and Warranty Great jacket and you cant beat Columbia warranty. Got this jacket on credit from warranty claim on 20 year old jacket that ripped. HH would not honor their "lifetime" warranty on a jacket half this old with insulation disintegrating! Always liked Columbia but now I am loyal for life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by IL413 from Solid Raincoat, well worth the cost This raincoat repels water perfectly, looks stylish, and does exaxtly what it should. More pricey that their basic raincoat but this material is higher quality and the ourside zipper makes it so easy to take on and off

Rated 5 out of 5 by DanF from Lightweight Rain Coat Lightweight breathable keeps you dry and comfortable. The underarm vents help keep you cooler. Great for summer rain storms. Fits great.

Rated 2 out of 5 by aterz from Looks smart, but functions poor Although this garment looks nice and smart, it is not for active outdoor use. It does not breath, and you get soaked when you do even a mild outdoor activity. Moreover, it is not durable at all. I have worn mine just a few times, and the inner lining began to peel away as seen in the photo. In my humble opinion, it is not a piece of outdoor clothing, merely a casual urban rain jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nick87 from Great Rain Jacket It does what it's suppose to. Looks really good, pack-able, lightweight and keeps you dry. And with the Zippers under the arms, overheating is non-existent. The hood is also one of the better things about this jacket. Even with a ball cap on water doesn't get inside. It also doesn't feel thick like a poncho. All in all a really great rain jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RaggedEvan from Great light jacket, but open pockets I'm very happy with this rain jacket and really look forward to my summer hikes in the PNW! I love having my hands in pockets while walking, but here is the one problem with this jacket, the pockets are a very large hole'd mesh (I think intended for easy packing?) but it is just unpleasant to have my hands in there and worse, there's a breeze that comes in and so my hands are not warm or protected. I also would NOT feel secure putting anything in there while hiking, which is a bummer, since they are the most available pockets when you have a large backpack on. It hasn't killed this project for me, but I really don't like it. I also would've enjoyed a left chest pocket, but as I said, I like good pockets :) Still happy with this jacket and think it will fulfil it's mission

Rated 4 out of 5 by TurtleOne from Keeps me dry! Hiked twice in rainy conditions which is not easily done in SoCal. So far so good! This shell does what the doctor ordered. 2-way zippers and a small internal pocket would be nice improvements. Other shells have these features for just a few $. This one fit my budget and it gets the job done. My neighbors kids had a blast trying to drench me with their supersoakers. I needed to test it before hitting the trail! I stayed dry and stylish!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ponteajugar from Perfect rain, light jacket. The jacket arrived fast. I am impressed with the fit and look. I have worn it everyday for the last 2 weeks since I got it. I put it to the test when it rained, I stayed dry and the Omni-Wick Evap, allows the jacket to breathe from the inside out. I will be buying another one in a different color. This jacket also allows you to layer up under and stay warm.

Rated 1 out of 5 by TSB8 from Possibly defective Wore this jacket for the first time in a very light rain and cane home to find more water on the inside of the jacket than on the outside. Not sure how that’s possible or what the defect could be. Returning the jacket and trying something else

Rated 4 out of 5 by johnnyphive from Light Rain Jacket with Vents! The key to this jacket is the zipper vents on the armpits. There are a lot of ventilation claims on various rain jackets but in my experience there is no substitute for the real thing. This coat has side zipper vents under the arms. I have had too many mild temperature rain coats that turn into a sauna in warmer temperatures or after walking around for a little bit. So this coat is a rare find. I was just in a Columbia outlet store and this was the only men's jacket i could find with the zipper vents. I did not purchase this coat to keep me warm. I purchased it to keep me dry both in terms of the rain and in terms of ventilation to prevent sweating. This jacket does the job.

Rated 4 out of 5 by 2tommy2 from Waterproof I live here just outside of Portland My best friend is a black GSD and we do a lot of walking and hiking around. It does not matter to Odin if this time of year is wet. The Evapouration jacket is very light and completely waterproof. Now I need a pair of pants made the same way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jeff09 from Great Quality, very versatile A few features that make this a great jacket are the taped zipper and under-arm vents. I use this jacket for hiking, skiing, fishing...just about everthing. If its cold out, putting a fleece or extra layer is easy and makes this a great shell.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mike83636737373 from Nice main zipper Very lightweight, and excellent water barrier. This jacket is not warm by itself but is an excellent outer shell. My only real problem with it so far has been the mesh lining of the pockets. Not great for keys or keeping hands warm. Also I am not sure how they will wear over time. I hope I am proved wrong in my doubts and dont end up with shredded pockets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by bblasin from Solid rain jacket This rain jacket is very functional and fits well. Haven’t had a problem with saturation yet. Water beads off nicely. Obviously there are nicer rain jackets in the world but this is a solid $100 rain jacket if you’re looking for quality at this price point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JW817 from Perfect for Pacific Northwest weather This jacket performs really well in rainy weather. Completely waterproof. I bought size medium and it fits about true to size, maybe a bit big. I usually wear 15.5 x 34 slim fit dress shirts and 41 regular suits. I’m 5’11” and weigh about 175. There is still some room in this jacket when wearing layers or a think wool sweater.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TonyElTigre from Great Jacket This jacket is awesome. It’s light weight, keeps me dry and looks great! It does run “true to size” for me since I was thinking about wearing this over a sweater or something so it fits great. The adjustable wrists and waist keeps it nice and snug to the body. Breathes well and does not feel bulky at all. Granted we don’t get much rain in So Cal but I was glad I had it with me at work one morning were it was raining, kept me dry and worked great. Great jacket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Alex1990 from Great all round rain jacket I don't leave home without it! It is small enough to stuff in the small side pockets of by day pack and has kept me dry through many intense thunderstorms. After a year of heavy use only just starting to see some signs of wear (broken zipper) otherwise still works great. I would buy this again in an instance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by HotInGeorgia from Southern Heat A good chunk of my commute to work involves walking outside. I got tired of buying a new umbrella every other month so I decided to get this jacket. It's very lightweight and rain just beads up and falls off which is great. Also, it's compact and folds into a small pouch which can easily be thrown into a backpack or carry on for traveling. The downside is even with the arm vents, it is blazing hot in the southern heat. With our afternoon thunderstorms, it's usually very hot and humid when I wear the jacket and I start sweating almost right away. Then the jacket basically glues itself to my skin. I did bring the jacket to Oregon on a trip and it was great so it really depends on your climate. Overall, I like the jacket. It beats wrangling an umbrella and replacing it every other month, but I wish it was cooler in the southern heat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by juniorLW from Evapouration VS Storm I bought the evapouration because I couldn't get another Storm, in the Hi Viz Yellow. The Storm has a better fabric and also has a zipper flap. The Evapouration is still a good rain jacket, just not as good, in my opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Loopilu from Great NW Rain Jacket My bf had the previous model of this jacket but it was discontinued so when he lost it, it was replaced with this one. This jacket is perfect for the NW weather. It keeps him dry and the best feature for him are the undearm vents. This is the only Columbia rain jacket (that's not on the far expensive side) that has them. It's perfect for hiking or biking in rain where you work out but still can let out the heat. He's normally an XL but the L fits him perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 4raftin from Great little lightweight jacket that will shed the rain I love this jacket because it is truly waterproof, breathable and packs down to almost nothing! I bought it large enough (Mens 2X) to go over my fleece and other layers I wear in the winter and still have room to move. I bought the bright green color because I like to be visible in the woods when hiking...especially during hunting season! Would have like it a bit brighter but it will work fine for viability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by VJMT from Evapouration Jacket Wore this a few times on the JMT. Mostly used as a windbreaker but did perform as expected on the limited showers experienced. The side underarm vents were the key reason of my selection of this jacket and they performed very well. Internal heat containment was expected but the inner wicking lining and vents definitely helped eliminate the sauna effect. Very light weight and packable to store in the backpack. Will keep this in my Jeep when mother nature throws curve balls.
