Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks smart, but functions poor Although this garment looks nice and smart, it is not for active outdoor use. It does not breath, and you get soaked when you do even a mild outdoor activity. Moreover, it is not durable at all. I have worn mine just a few times, and the inner lining began to peel away as seen in the photo. In my humble opinion, it is not a piece of outdoor clothing, merely a casual urban rain jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rain Jacket It does what it's suppose to. Looks really good, pack-able, lightweight and keeps you dry. And with the Zippers under the arms, overheating is non-existent. The hood is also one of the better things about this jacket. Even with a ball cap on water doesn't get inside. It also doesn't feel thick like a poncho. All in all a really great rain jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great light jacket, but open pockets I'm very happy with this rain jacket and really look forward to my summer hikes in the PNW! I love having my hands in pockets while walking, but here is the one problem with this jacket, the pockets are a very large hole'd mesh (I think intended for easy packing?) but it is just unpleasant to have my hands in there and worse, there's a breeze that comes in and so my hands are not warm or protected. I also would NOT feel secure putting anything in there while hiking, which is a bummer, since they are the most available pockets when you have a large backpack on. It hasn't killed this project for me, but I really don't like it. I also would've enjoyed a left chest pocket, but as I said, I like good pockets :) Still happy with this jacket and think it will fulfil it's mission

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Keeps me dry! Hiked twice in rainy conditions which is not easily done in SoCal. So far so good! This shell does what the doctor ordered. 2-way zippers and a small internal pocket would be nice improvements. Other shells have these features for just a few $. This one fit my budget and it gets the job done. My neighbors kids had a blast trying to drench me with their supersoakers. I needed to test it before hitting the trail! I stayed dry and stylish!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rain coat This coat is perfect for Cincinnati weather which is unpredictable 4 days of rain this jacket worked perfect kept me dry. Also the packable pocket will be real handy when I go on hikes and trips

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket, Convenient Features Good looking jacket, stayed dry and relatively warm in the rain, hood has great velcro feature that lets you adjust it, velcro wrist straps are convenient, storage pocket for the jacket makes it easy to transport

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Go To Jacket I bought this as a replacement of an older Columbia jacket and is a great shell for light weather to extreme weather. Price point is great to value. I'll keep being a return customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect rain, light jacket. The jacket arrived fast. I am impressed with the fit and look. I have worn it everyday for the last 2 weeks since I got it. I put it to the test when it rained, I stayed dry and the Omni-Wick Evap, allows the jacket to breathe from the inside out. I will be buying another one in a different color. This jacket also allows you to layer up under and stay warm.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Possibly defective Wore this jacket for the first time in a very light rain and cane home to find more water on the inside of the jacket than on the outside. Not sure how that’s possible or what the defect could be. Returning the jacket and trying something else

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Rain Jacket This is a good light weight rain jacket. Water proof and the fit is good.
Date published: 2018-03-08
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light Rain Jacket with Vents! The key to this jacket is the zipper vents on the armpits. There are a lot of ventilation claims on various rain jackets but in my experience there is no substitute for the real thing. This coat has side zipper vents under the arms. I have had too many mild temperature rain coats that turn into a sauna in warmer temperatures or after walking around for a little bit. So this coat is a rare find. I was just in a Columbia outlet store and this was the only men's jacket i could find with the zipper vents. I did not purchase this coat to keep me warm. I purchased it to keep me dry both in terms of the rain and in terms of ventilation to prevent sweating. This jacket does the job.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Waterproof I live here just outside of Portland My best friend is a black GSD and we do a lot of walking and hiking around. It does not matter to Odin if this time of year is wet. The Evapouration jacket is very light and completely waterproof. Now I need a pair of pants made the same way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quality, very versatile A few features that make this a great jacket are the taped zipper and under-arm vents. I use this jacket for hiking, skiing, fishing...just about everthing. If its cold out, putting a fleece or extra layer is easy and makes this a great shell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Great for the price and function is what it’s all about.
Date published: 2018-02-16
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice main zipper Very lightweight, and excellent water barrier. This jacket is not warm by itself but is an excellent outer shell. My only real problem with it so far has been the mesh lining of the pockets. Not great for keys or keeping hands warm. Also I am not sure how they will wear over time. I hope I am proved wrong in my doubts and dont end up with shredded pockets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent rain jacket I got two jackets. Very functional and excellent design. I love them.
Date published: 2018-01-13
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid rain jacket This rain jacket is very functional and fits well. Haven’t had a problem with saturation yet. Water beads off nicely. Obviously there are nicer rain jackets in the world but this is a solid $100 rain jacket if you’re looking for quality at this price point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Pacific Northwest weather This jacket performs really well in rainy weather. Completely waterproof. I bought size medium and it fits about true to size, maybe a bit big. I usually wear 15.5 x 34 slim fit dress shirts and 41 regular suits. I’m 5’11” and weigh about 175. There is still some room in this jacket when wearing layers or a think wool sweater.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jacket This jacket is awesome. It’s light weight, keeps me dry and looks great! It does run “true to size” for me since I was thinking about wearing this over a sweater or something so it fits great. The adjustable wrists and waist keeps it nice and snug to the body. Breathes well and does not feel bulky at all. Granted we don’t get much rain in So Cal but I was glad I had it with me at work one morning were it was raining, kept me dry and worked great. Great jacket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly the right thing This jacket sheds rain, doesn't get hot, has arm pit zippers, great pockets and the flaps close tightly against the weather. Just the right thing.

Date published: 2017-12-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stay dry and comfortable... This coat fits the bill nicely! Great for traveling as it folds down to a compact package. Keeps you dry and seems to "breathe" as noted in the description.
Date published: 2017-12-11
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good jacket The jacket is very good quality and functions excellent, but the only problem is that it runs large on size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product This jacket fits well and function good at rainy weather
Date published: 2017-09-21
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all round rain jacket I don't leave home without it! It is small enough to stuff in the small side pockets of by day pack and has kept me dry through many intense thunderstorms. After a year of heavy use only just starting to see some signs of wear (broken zipper) otherwise still works great. I would buy this again in an instance.
Date published: 2017-09-20
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Keeps the wet out . . .and in! This jacket repels rain well but it just doesn't breathe! A little exertion and you're wetter inside the jacket than outside!
Date published: 2017-09-19
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really like this product Fits well. I got a large, which runs a little big but I think it is on purpose. I would be able to put layers below the rain coat for colder weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dependable Rainwear This jacket does a great job keeping you dry. I was out in the pouring rain for 30 minutes and I was completely dry after.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Item for a Great Price! This rain jacket fits just as it should, perfect for over a T Shirt in the summer or another layer in the cooler months. Th pit zips are ideal for cooling off and breatability. Very waterproof!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good lightweight rain jacket Looks good, fits well, nice windbreaker/rain jacket for my 14 year old son to run around in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good rain jacket I used this jacket on a cool drizzling day. Im from south Texas and sometimes we get that constant drizzle but it's still warm. The jacket keeps you dry and cool.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Southern Heat A good chunk of my commute to work involves walking outside. I got tired of buying a new umbrella every other month so I decided to get this jacket. It's very lightweight and rain just beads up and falls off which is great. Also, it's compact and folds into a small pouch which can easily be thrown into a backpack or carry on for traveling. The downside is even with the arm vents, it is blazing hot in the southern heat. With our afternoon thunderstorms, it's usually very hot and humid when I wear the jacket and I start sweating almost right away. Then the jacket basically glues itself to my skin. I did bring the jacket to Oregon on a trip and it was great so it really depends on your climate. Overall, I like the jacket. It beats wrangling an umbrella and replacing it every other month, but I wish it was cooler in the southern heat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Evapouration VS Storm I bought the evapouration because I couldn't get another Storm, in the Hi Viz Yellow. The Storm has a better fabric and also has a zipper flap. The Evapouration is still a good rain jacket, just not as good, in my opinion.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rain jacket This is a great rain jacket. I got it to use at woek and since I'm on the log yard a lot I needed the safety yellow. It's a perfect fit for my job. Great product ,thank you Columbia.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great NW Rain Jacket My bf had the previous model of this jacket but it was discontinued so when he lost it, it was replaced with this one. This jacket is perfect for the NW weather. It keeps him dry and the best feature for him are the undearm vents. This is the only Columbia rain jacket (that's not on the far expensive side) that has them. It's perfect for hiking or biking in rain where you work out but still can let out the heat. He's normally an XL but the L fits him perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little lightweight jacket that will shed the rain I love this jacket because it is truly waterproof, breathable and packs down to almost nothing! I bought it large enough (Mens 2X) to go over my fleece and other layers I wear in the winter and still have room to move. I bought the bright green color because I like to be visible in the woods when hiking...especially during hunting season! Would have like it a bit brighter but it will work fine for viability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Evapouration Jacket Wore this a few times on the JMT. Mostly used as a windbreaker but did perform as expected on the limited showers experienced. The side underarm vents were the key reason of my selection of this jacket and they performed very well. Internal heat containment was expected but the inner wicking lining and vents definitely helped eliminate the sauna effect. Very light weight and packable to store in the backpack. Will keep this in my Jeep when mother nature throws curve balls.
Date published: 2016-08-26
Rated 1 out of 5 by from like wearing a plastic bag doesn't "breathe". Feels like plastic against your skin. Don't know whether it will keep you dry.
Date published: 2016-06-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from light weight repellent Took awhile for a rainstorm here in CA, but have worn this jacket in 3 slight rains. Completely waterproof, have not over-heated in it so far. Made an excellent windbreaker I might add. Only curiosity is the little velcro tab at base of hood - adjusts the size of hood to maintain it staying on your head even in high winds. I wish there was a way to roll it up and secure it when you don't need the hood. PS. Columbia dictates how your nickname should be???!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Evaporate jacket Very good jacket. It will keep you dry!
Date published: 2016-03-27
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rain proof This jacket is definitely rain proof! No need to dress warm underneath, the inside retains body heat. Purchased this jacket for myself. After trying it out, went back for a jacket for my husband. He likes the fit, ability to change how low the hood comes down and water proof zippers. Excellent jacket.
Date published: 2016-02-11
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really nice...10/10 The jacket has a nice comfortable fit...not too fitted but not large either. The rainproof material coating is effective and looks it. I like the style of the pockets...large enough, yet hidden well. Many rain jackets have overly-large side pockets which run diagonally across most of each side...too much, in my opinion. The jacket is pack able too, but I have rather wanted to wear it so far. A definite 10/10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Overall Jacket This jacket is a great jacket to use year around, light weight and keeps you nice and dry!
Date published: 2016-01-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket so much that I have 2 of them! These jackets are absolutely perfect. They are 100% waterproof, warm for a chilly day, breathable enough to wear them inside, and look great. I have 2 of them because I love them so much. Only advice I have for other shoppers is to pay close attention to the sizing. I have had previous jackets and had ordered a Large to match other jackets. The large was very large. This is the only Medium jacket I own, but fits perfect.
Date published: 2016-01-01
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rain jacket My only regret is that I should have ordered one size larger to facilitate layering. Other than that, I'm very pleased with the product.
