Men's EvaPOURation™ Jacket is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 44.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good jacket The jacket is very good quality and functions excellent, but the only problem is that it runs large on size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product This jacket fits well and function good at rainy weather

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all round rain jacket I don't leave home without it! It is small enough to stuff in the small side pockets of by day pack and has kept me dry through many intense thunderstorms. After a year of heavy use only just starting to see some signs of wear (broken zipper) otherwise still works great. I would buy this again in an instance.
Date published: 2017-09-20
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Keeps the wet out . . .and in! This jacket repels rain well but it just doesn't breathe! A little exertion and you're wetter inside the jacket than outside!
Date published: 2017-09-19
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really like this product Fits well. I got a large, which runs a little big but I think it is on purpose. I would be able to put layers below the rain coat for colder weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dependable Rainwear This jacket does a great job keeping you dry. I was out in the pouring rain for 30 minutes and I was completely dry after.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Item for a Great Price! This rain jacket fits just as it should, perfect for over a T Shirt in the summer or another layer in the cooler months. Th pit zips are ideal for cooling off and breatability. Very waterproof!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good lightweight rain jacket Looks good, fits well, nice windbreaker/rain jacket for my 14 year old son to run around in.
Date published: 2017-03-29
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good rain jacket I used this jacket on a cool drizzling day. Im from south Texas and sometimes we get that constant drizzle but it's still warm. The jacket keeps you dry and cool.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Southern Heat A good chunk of my commute to work involves walking outside. I got tired of buying a new umbrella every other month so I decided to get this jacket. It's very lightweight and rain just beads up and falls off which is great. Also, it's compact and folds into a small pouch which can easily be thrown into a backpack or carry on for traveling. The downside is even with the arm vents, it is blazing hot in the southern heat. With our afternoon thunderstorms, it's usually very hot and humid when I wear the jacket and I start sweating almost right away. Then the jacket basically glues itself to my skin. I did bring the jacket to Oregon on a trip and it was great so it really depends on your climate. Overall, I like the jacket. It beats wrangling an umbrella and replacing it every other month, but I wish it was cooler in the southern heat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Evapouration VS Storm I bought the evapouration because I couldn't get another Storm, in the Hi Viz Yellow. The Storm has a better fabric and also has a zipper flap. The Evapouration is still a good rain jacket, just not as good, in my opinion.
Date published: 2016-12-02
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rain jacket This is a great rain jacket. I got it to use at woek and since I'm on the log yard a lot I needed the safety yellow. It's a perfect fit for my job. Great product ,thank you Columbia.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great NW Rain Jacket My bf had the previous model of this jacket but it was discontinued so when he lost it, it was replaced with this one. This jacket is perfect for the NW weather. It keeps him dry and the best feature for him are the undearm vents. This is the only Columbia rain jacket (that's not on the far expensive side) that has them. It's perfect for hiking or biking in rain where you work out but still can let out the heat. He's normally an XL but the L fits him perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little lightweight jacket that will shed the rain I love this jacket because it is truly waterproof, breathable and packs down to almost nothing! I bought it large enough (Mens 2X) to go over my fleece and other layers I wear in the winter and still have room to move. I bought the bright green color because I like to be visible in the woods when hiking...especially during hunting season! Would have like it a bit brighter but it will work fine for viability.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from rain jacket recieved The quality is terriable ,$100.00 for a bunch of plastic i woudl never buy form them again ,it seems the jacket compared to what i sent back is so cheap ,sorry thisis hwo you go out of business

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Evapouration Jacket Wore this a few times on the JMT. Mostly used as a windbreaker but did perform as expected on the limited showers experienced. The side underarm vents were the key reason of my selection of this jacket and they performed very well. Internal heat containment was expected but the inner wicking lining and vents definitely helped eliminate the sauna effect. Very light weight and packable to store in the backpack. Will keep this in my Jeep when mother nature throws curve balls.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from like wearing a plastic bag doesn't "breathe". Feels like plastic against your skin. Don't know whether it will keep you dry.
Date published: 2016-06-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from light weight repellent Took awhile for a rainstorm here in CA, but have worn this jacket in 3 slight rains. Completely waterproof, have not over-heated in it so far. Made an excellent windbreaker I might add. Only curiosity is the little velcro tab at base of hood - adjusts the size of hood to maintain it staying on your head even in high winds. I wish there was a way to roll it up and secure it when you don't need the hood. PS. Columbia dictates how your nickname should be???!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Evaporate jacket Very good jacket. It will keep you dry!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rain proof This jacket is definitely rain proof! No need to dress warm underneath, the inside retains body heat. Purchased this jacket for myself. After trying it out, went back for a jacket for my husband. He likes the fit, ability to change how low the hood comes down and water proof zippers. Excellent jacket.
Date published: 2016-02-11
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really nice...10/10 The jacket has a nice comfortable fit...not too fitted but not large either. The rainproof material coating is effective and looks it. I like the style of the pockets...large enough, yet hidden well. Many rain jackets have overly-large side pockets which run diagonally across most of each side...too much, in my opinion. The jacket is pack able too, but I have rather wanted to wear it so far. A definite 10/10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Overall Jacket This jacket is a great jacket to use year around, light weight and keeps you nice and dry!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket so much that I have 2 of them! These jackets are absolutely perfect. They are 100% waterproof, warm for a chilly day, breathable enough to wear them inside, and look great. I have 2 of them because I love them so much. Only advice I have for other shoppers is to pay close attention to the sizing. I have had previous jackets and had ordered a Large to match other jackets. The large was very large. This is the only Medium jacket I own, but fits perfect.
Date published: 2016-01-01
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rain jacket My only regret is that I should have ordered one size larger to facilitate layering. Other than that, I'm very pleased with the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best This jacket will keep you dry
Date published: 2015-12-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Jacket! The most breathable rain jacket I've ever had that still keeps you dry, and I love that it's pack-able. The external material feels almost like rubber coated nylon, light like a windbreaker but with the water protection of full rain gear without feeling like I'm wearing a trash bag/sauna all day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Satisfied Customer The Columbia Evaporation Jacket has exceeded all of my expectations! I have now purchased two of these jackets and have had the same review on both purchases! Very fair price for such a quality product! Thank you COLUMBIA!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice jacket. Fair price. Great results. Perfect jacket when layering in mountains during spring, summer and fall vacation activities. Sudden rain, sometimes sleet and crisp weather make this an ideal jacket to have on these week long treks. Even in gulf coast showers it's perfect.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I don't like this particular rain jacket I ordered this because of so many positive reviews this thing has. The problems I have with it are as follows: 1) this thing starts cooking me as soon as I put it on 2) this thing fits me like a big poncho, it's way too big. I am holding on to it to compare it to the MEN’S SLEEKER™ RAIN JACKET, which from the two reviews it has the people were happy it doesn't cook them. So hopefully that is the rain jacket for me because this is WAY TOO HOT, and the fit is terrible. I guess if I were overweight or shaped like a ball this would fit good. I like clothing with an athletic cut, like the Ascender Hooded Softshell Jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rain jacket just what i needed. Light weight, dry, breathes really well. Great for summer rain showers or throwing a cast net.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful! I purchased one of these for my boyfriend and he loved it so much that we ordered another for my dad. Fits true to size - both men wear larges. Light weight enough to wear for hiking during summer storms. Both men love the underarm vents. Great piece for layering as well. Seems to be completely waterproof. Great quality and holds up well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Plastic lining? Really? I purchased two rain jackets, one for myself and one for my daughter. The one I received for my daughter (Arcadia II) was exactly was she wanted with great fit and quality. This one that I ordered for me (Evapouration) fit just fine but I was very surprised to find it has a plastic lining which is not very comfortable to bare skin when wearing a short-sleeve shirt. Sending it back today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best rain jacket ever Immediately upon receiving this jacket I took it to RedRocks and gave it the ultimate test. An hour of rain & hail and with this jacket in conjunction with the Rebel roamer rain pants I was dry as a bone after the deluge passed. The water just beaded up but did not penetrate. Several people commented on what a great jacket that was. I highly recommend this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket for adventuring in the rain I purchase this jacket for a trip to Costa Rica. I'm a woman with broad shoulders, so I frequently wear a Men's jacket, because the Women's jackets are too tight in the shoulders for me. This was true here too. We were caught in several downpours during a day in the rain forest and these jackets performed exactly as expected. Everything stayed dry, including my camera which I zipped under my jacket. It made the day very fun and enjoyable to continue trekking in the pouring rain, without being soaked to the skin. The vents are nice, because it was in the 90s. The sleeve cuffs are good for adjusting at the wrists (the sleeves are long for me). The hood performed well. The jacket is somehow supposed to fold up into itself in an inner pouch or something. It would be nice it if came with instructions for folding into the pouch. We couldn't figure it out. All in all, it's a great jacket that I'll wear for many years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light Weight and Water Proof I have had this jacket for a few months now and I think it is one of the best rainjackets available. This jacket is extremely light weight for a rain jacket. A lot of rain jackets, like Gortex ones, can be heavy because of the waterproofing but this one isn't. I will say the jacket could be a little more breathable; the zippers under the arms help a lot but you can still get a little warm. In terms of quality, this jacket is well above par. All the seams are sealed on the outside and on the inside; the front zipper is also tightly waterproofed. However, the side pockets do not have the same zippers which would be beneficial (this is why four stars on quality). Another plus of this jacket is that it is extremely wind proof. One last note...this jacket works great as on an add on in between seasons. Right now (in between winter and summer) this jacket works great as an outer layer. A winter coat is too much but just the rain coat isn't enough; this works great over a fleece or sweater or other light jacket. I am sure the same applies for the fall.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job I've used this on a few day hikes and a five day. It does what it's supposed to do. Water beads up nicely, and I stayed dry while getting rained on a few times. I've had no issue with leaking a small minority have said. Just want to remind everyone to take proper care while washing, and it should hold up fine. The vents in the arms are nice for breathability in between showers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME RAIN JACKET I rate the jacket as tue to size because in all Columbia Sportswear I size an XXL. I read other reviews which criticized the jacket for single zipper and seams neither of which were the case with my jacket. I walk for my exercise and it kept me dry but breathable during the first Pacific NW major storm of winter 2014. I pair the jacket with the Men's PFG Hydro Tech Packable Rain Pant it looks great in orange jacket and black pants. This is another high quality Columbia Sportswear product. I really cannot find other products that compare to what Columbia offers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket After a long spring and getting through the summer in the ADKS... I love the jacket. It's done a great job at keeping me dry as well as cool. The main reason I bought this jacket was because of the massive underarm vents for summer showers. It's also a nice plus that it packs fairly small into it's own pocket to fit in my pack easily.
Date published: 2014-10-02
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks all accross the shoulders Its constructed well, and I wish it was waterproof. But it leaks like crazy all along the shoulders. I just don't understand how a new coat can leak like this. I want to say it has to do with it not being gore-tex. This is the first and last time I buy anything that is not gore-tex.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rain Jacket for Rain The jacket is a great way to stay dry from the rain without the buildup of heat underneath. I use it for hiking, biking, running, jumping, or even around the house. The lightweight design makes it compact and easily packed into a backpack, or handy to handle by hand. The zipper design is also waterproof, yet maintains optimal gliding and can be zipped single-handed. For the price, pound for pound, this jacket is the best around.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stains easily + waterproof fail I love the way this jacket looks and feels but it gained some mysterious stain on the front almost immediately. It says that it is machine washable so I tried to wash the stain off with a little soap by hand. The result: the part I attempted to wash did not remove the stain but I did manage to deactivate the waterproof part of that area somehow so when it rains, that part gets especially dark and wet. As far as a 100$ rain jacket is concerned with eVAPorwhatever technology, I am disappointed it is this susceptible to the elements.
Date published: 2014-04-18
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Zipper Mystery Why can a customer not find a good rain jacket under $100 that has a 2-way front zipper any more? Be aware before you buy that this jacket does not appear to have a 2-way zipper (if that is important to you). Many manufacturers are going the way of one-way zippers unless you want to spend $150 or more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rain jacket Just got this jacket in the Green. I've really enjoyed it so far, and even took on a trip to climb Mt. St. Helens. I stayed very dry - and being able to pack up the jacket into it's pocket was a great feature to have when I didn't need to wear a shell. The hood was easy to adjust when it got windy - and I felt comfortable throughout the day, so I'm a believer in the EVAP. I really like the waterproof front zipper - and how it has a bit of a shine to it. Gives it a nice look rather than a storm flap. Bought the women's model for my fiance and she has really enjoyed it too!
