Rated 5 out of 5 by HikeandIke from Expectantly Rugged and Suprisingly Comfortable I have only had these boots for three weeks and have been putting them through their paces in the snow. It took less than a day of wearing them to break them in. I have been impressed with both the traction and waterproof-ness. I'm anxious to test them out on real mountain terrain soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MedicBret from All-round shoe After having major problems with my feet that required surgeries to correct, I needed a shoe, size 14, that would protect my feet without applying undue pressure, especially on the toes. This shoe is great for long walks & hiking in the mountains, working around the ranch & going into town to shop. Columbia is one of the few companies that still offer shoe sizes larger than 13. Thanks,

Rated 1 out of 5 by jwwillmot from Please discontinue cloth eyelets I've been wearing Columbia hiking boots exclusively for about 10 years. My job requires 12 to 14 hrs on my feet daily. My last two pairs of Granite Pass shoes lasted less than three months due to the cloth tab eyelets breaking. The soles and uppers were still in very serviceable condition. Please go back to metal eyelets. I don't want to change brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Aj12345 from Happy!!! I bought these for my husband to join me hiking. Best choice I made. He was very pleased with the fit. He was very comfortable and surprised how light the boot was. We hiked for 16-18 miles with daypacks. No blisters. Good choice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Happy70 from Hiking boots I bought these boots for a planned upcoming trip. To date I have just used them in walking around the neighborhood to break them in. They are very comfortable and I am looking forward to putting them to a good test in an environment foe which they were manufactured.

Rated 5 out of 5 by swampfox from These shoes/boots meet my hiking needs I walk/hike about 4 miles each day. The souls hardly show any ware after 3 weeks of walking on blacktop road. The fit is very good, even better after I replaced the stanard inserts with my doctor perscribed ones. I have had no blisters since I started using them. I used the measuring guide from Columbia. I got a size of 12 1/2 so I ordered te next size up, 13.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brock1 from 2nd to none! This is an amazing shoe. I've had this shoe now for almost a year and couldn't imagine having anything else. Very comfortable yet has great support. I've had Merrels before and even those don't compare. I will most certainly purchase another pair of these here soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Keephiking from Two pair I have both types of Granite Pass shoes the regular shoe and the mid high shoe. They both run small in size I wear a size 10 these shoes are 11's but I do like a little room for heaver socks when needed. I use them for hiking, beach combing, or when conditions are wet. They are light weight and vary comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mzungu from At least they are big enough. Most other company's boots only go up to size 13 or 14. I normally wear a size 14 sneaker. But with thick hiking socks, my feet simply didn't fit in their largest boot. With these boots in a size 16, and with thick socks, my feet are finally comfortable. I can now hike for more than 30 minutes without my feet killing me. I don't know how they compare to other size 16 boots, because there simply aren't that many available. Thank you Columbia for making boots that are big enough! One thing I do notice is that most other mid-height boots use hooks for the top laces. These boots use holes (and tight holes at that), which do make tying and untying a bit more difficult than it should be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jared28 from Columbia Shoes These shoes are very comfortable! And supportive enough to avoid rolling ankles or slipping when outdoors, very durable and warm. As well as lightweight, I would recommend these shoes to anyone who enjoys spending their time in the outdoors!
