Rated 5 out of 5 by from Husband loves It has kept him warm and the inside is soft. The sleeve seems a little wide but not much. Overall great jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My father loves it I was so excited when this jacket arrived and disappointed when it was a little snug. Instead of returning it I gave it to my father who has worn it everyday. He says it keeps him very warm and he really enjoys it. Ordered the navy blue and it's true to online appearance. It is only my opinion about sizing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Men’s Heat Mode™ II Softshell Jacket I order at larger Men's Heat Mode Softshell jacket the fit is large. I have a 44" chest and 33" waist, the jacket measure 24" pit to pit laid flat. Ski jacket is large and measures 24" pit to pit laid flat. 5yr old large Columbia softshell measure 23" pit to pit laid flat and 21.5" across the hem. The Men's Heat Mode Softshell bunched up at the sternum when seated and at the arm pits when wearing softshell under ski jacket restricting movement of my arms. Columbia needs to narrow the softshell jacket for a more taper fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Lightweight Jeacket this is the second one I have purchased. Great, lightweight jacket good for almost three seasons. Keeps me warm almost all winter. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect soft shell This soft shell jacket has been everything we wanted. Warm from the heat mode inside, fit perfect, and looks great on. Would defiantly buy it again!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from gimmick I ordered the Red, which looks good but shows dirty very well. The water resistance is gone after 2 washes and the material is like thin stiff neoprene. The collar stays stiff and annoyingly rubs my chin. Last of all the shiny omni heat looks pretty but its really more of a GIMMICK. One, you're better off with a fleece lining that is more comfortable and holds insulating air when the wind is stripping it off you. You can feel the cold outer jacket when the wind hits it. Two, if it does reflect heat it is not noticeable. What you do notice is the lack of breathing this jacket has when the humidity level rises on your sweaty back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat Coat is exactly as advertised. I've worn ''tis down to 20 degrees and felt warm. Works especially well if you are outside working. The fit is what I would call trim and very nice. Looks better than my last circus tent of a softshell coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a very nice product Where I live the weather changes by the day. I used 4 different jackets last week from a light fleece to a puffy down and this was in the middle of my days. I'm always warm so with a dress shirt and a light sweater I can use this for darn near a whole season. I bought a under armour jacket like this with their weird zipper and it broke and they won't help me in warranty and no seamstress can fix it because it's their own technology. Hi end Cabelas and Columbia will be all my gear going forward. People also like the look it is a good looking jacket

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs big This jacket runs big. I have several other Columbia jackets and this one runs big. The sleeves are too long as well. I wear a medium in columbia and this is much bigger than the others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mandatory for the "Get "R" Done Folks! This jacket, like everything else I purchase from Columbia, is simply nothing short of amazing! A must have! As a tradesman, I must be equip to bare elements to "Get the job done"! On the social side of it, it's the most handsome jacket in a wardrobe of many jackets not to mention the most practical. Traveling light to accomplish all, work, school, and play. I've even looked good at a funeral, and by the looks of those around me... I Was the warmest and dryest one in attendance!!! Ps. Columbia has no competition!!! There's Columbia... Then there's settling with or for something else!!! Straight up!!! Point Blank!!! That simplifies that!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mens Heat mode 2 jacket My husband and sons (age 17 & 18) think these jackets are great. These jackets are kept in the front closet year around. Worn spring fall & winter(with a hoodie/sweater). My sons grew out of these jackets and wanted the exact same jacket in a larger size. My husbands first jacket(purchased probably 5 years ago) was faded after several years: his was replaced with the same. The titanium is awesome.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Golfer & Walker I have an earlier version of this jacket. It is a Nice looking and comfortable jacket. I like the color contrasting zippered pockets. However, the jacket has been a disappointment when I wore it in temperatures ranging below 50 degrees with a moderate 8-10 mph wind. This is unusual performance for a Columbia product. As I have had great success with my many Columbia products. In reading the other reviews, I am inclined to believe that Columbia has improved the performance of this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mens' warm outer jacket Good looking! Great style easy to wear & best of all it warms you with your body heat. Which makes it in my opinion a lighter jacket. Not bulky or heavy with a nice finish on the outside. Good value for the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great all season jacket I bought this one to replace an older one which has seen better days. The only thing is the new one doesn't have inside pockets. I miss that feature because its,a,great place to keep your phone

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good jacket I had to really warm up to this jacket. I didn't care for it too much at first because the area around the armpits fit a little snug / strange. It bunches up short sleeve shirts, and I have to physically reach in and pull the sleeve farther down the inside of the arm to wear comfortably. Another issue I've had with it, I often wear collared shirts at work, and the collar of the jacket always works it's way under the collar of the polo shirts. This is of course if you don't wear the jacket collar "popped", which I don't. The last minor thing, is if you wear this jacket against bare skin, such as with a short sleeve shirt, the thermal dots liner in the sleeves will become slightly tacky if you are actively perspiring. Now for all of the good. I love the feel of the outside of this jacket. The thing looks great! I've received quite a few compliments on the jacket in the 6 weeks I've owned and used it. I don't think it evaporates sweat as good as they claim, but it does, just a little slower than I thought it would. This has however never been an issue for me. The jacket also repels water well. Rain drops just bead right up and roll off... Sometimes the velcro wrist clasps can cause the water to work its's it way down the sleeve if your arm get's slightly elevated. The jacket is also great at stopping the wind! The thermal dots do well at keeping you warm when you need it, and cool when you don't. I've really been impressed with how well this jacket regulates my body temp. Now, I wouldn't wear this in a blizzard, but a 40 degree day with a light wind on up to mid-60's and rain have not been an issue. The zippers are nice, and I haven't had any water leakage issues yet with the "sealed" zippers. I do wish there was some sort of a pocket on the inside of the jacket as well. Overall, I rate it as good, and bottom line... I would buy it again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Jacket You'll Own! I have wanted one of these for the past year. So, naturally I purchased one for my Police Officer Step Son & my 17 yr old Jr in High School as Christmas gifts. I couldn't wait any longer & I received mine two weeks ago. They both love theirs & so do I. I think the police officer said it best "It's lighter than a sweatshirt and has the warmth and wind blocking ability of a coat that is 5 times heavier and thicker. It's great for layering" In the past week, I have been in 46 degrees on a bass boat in FL, going 74 mph with nothing more than a long sleeve cotton tshirt on underneath and was very comfortable. No wind. NO chills made it through. And it breathes so well with no sweating. I wasn't too warm to have it on until almost 60 degrees. Not one time while fishing did I feel restricted or to bulky for movement and was not limited at all. Water beads off and you cannot even tell it's been wet and out of doors. This week I'm in Colorado. I added a sweater to the long sleeve tshirt and am well layered to be warm and comfortable in 32 degree weather with a 20 mph wind and sleet... not restricted in the least! And have had a lot of compliments each day! Folks in the office pick it up and try it on. All commenting on how "slight" it seems and ask if it's enough. You cannot go wrong having this in your closet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A league of its own. This jacket is wonderful! I bought this jacket with one purpose in mind and that was a windbreaker, let me tell you it breaks wind as if it were a brick wall! What I really liked about this jacket is that it looks great, you can wear it out on the trail, up in mountains, going down the slopes, or out to a nice dinner. It is classy and sophisticated but still rugged and functional. I kept finding myself thinking that I'm not warm but I'm not cold when wearing it, it's like it keeps you at the perfect temperature, now obviously this is not an insulated jacket so in pretty cold temps (40) you will start to get cold but I knew that and I use it as a layering system with the Fusion Exact jacket, they are a perfect team and have kept me warm well into the negatives. The zipper is a nice construction and the size fits very well, I'm 6'2" and weigh 165lbs it fits me like a glove. All in all I was very pleased with the jacket, enough so that I bought another one in a different color for when I want to change it up. Stop reading this review and buy it. You will not be disappointed I promise!! Great job Columbia!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incomparable to other products! Never had a jacket that had the quality and class, but still delivered the function. You can wear it fishing or out to dinner and is appropriate for both. The technology is crazy good. On my last trip I left Florida using the jacket as a wind breaker in 70 degree weather, ended in Virginia in the 40's and I only needed on jacket for the trip. Read this review...and then BUY it, you won't regret it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Windproof For Sure This jacket does exactly what it is suppose to. I do recommend if you buy this jacket to layer it. I was specifically looking for a windproof softshell not a jacket that I could not layer. This is the jacket that provided what I needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy shell Sturdy shell, but questionable heat retention. Wrist velcro tabs are not as strong/sticky as other Columbia ski jackets'. Would recommend adding a pocket for left hand, to make use of the right chest space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect. No Flaws This jacket is perfect for fall and early winter weather. It seems very thin, but the Omni Heat reflective lining is very very warm. Highly recommend this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply love this jacket! I got this for a trip to northern New Mexico to fly fish in late fall. The wind picked up after coming off the river one night with temps in the low 50's, upper 40's. I only had a PFG shirt over my arms, so I put this jacket on and zipped it up. Never felt the wind or cold air on my body again. Love it. Only thing I'd like better about it is if it had a hood for the heavy rain storms that will punish us during the year. This will be the go-to jacket that stays in my truck.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Fall Jacket Here in Kansas when fall rolls around the cold winds blow through and the rain becomes an occurring thing. This jacket I cant even explain how nice its been so far. The wind and rain are no match for this jacket. I usually wear this jacket when the temperature is about 40 to 60 degrees. It looks very nice, its durable and when you get moving the omni-heat gets you warm quick. The elastic band at the bottom is one of those little features I really appreciate. I am moving to the mountains soon and I know this will be my go to in the spring and fall.
