Men's Heater Change™ Jacket is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice. Seemed thin but it keeps you warm, adding a fleece kept me very warm last winter in Pa.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Shell This is a very nice product for it's price. Bought it mostly as spring skiing jacket that is versatile. It can accomodate different type of mid layer. Can be zipped with a Columbia fleece that has the large toothed zipper (such as Titan Pass fleece). Am 1,82 m tall and 85 kg. I'm comfortably loose in it so it's not made for warmth (no isulation) and the air pocket will get cold. Cut's wind and breathes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great but sized too big My husbands old Columbia is a large & fits him perfect, but this jacket looked like it was a XXL on him.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great outer layer jacket for winter activites I purchased this jacket as a waterproof and windproof outer layer for shoulder season and winter outdoor activities. It works great as a lighter weight shell to go over a fleece pull-over or down sweater while snow shoeing or backcountry skiing. I've been comfortable in single digits when layered over my down sweater and even hot when shoveling snow. I had a Titanium shell with zip in fleece jacket before but it weighed a lot and wouldn't fold up very small. This one will fit well in my pack as I warm up or if I go backpacking during shoulder seasons. It rolls up to about a 4X10 bundle. This jacket has pretty basic features - zip off hood, arm pocket, 2 regular pockets, and pit zips. The one feature I wish it had was an inside pocket. That would be nice for stashing things like a phone. The arm pocket has a special zipper that looks like it seals so it's waterproof. This jacket also has loops and a coarse toothed zipper for attaching a liner but I haven't found an interchange compatible liner to fit it. My old Titanium liner has the same coarse toothed zipper but the insert pin is too long so it won't zip. Size wise, I'm 5' 11", around 180 lbs, normal build with longer arms. I'm usually somewhere between a medium or a large in coats. I bought a large in this one so I could layer it in the winter and there is definitely plenty of room. The sleeves are plenty long, almost too long. A medium probably would have fit closer but this one gives plenty of room to move during winter activities. As usual, I think Columbia has produced another quality product at a great value. I've been extremely happy with it and would highly recommend it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a winter jacket The description is misleading. I guess my definition of cold and Columbia's is different. This jacket cannot be used in the cold without a liner or other jacket underneath it. I can't see how you can wear this alone in weather under 45. That should be made clearer in the description. This is something for late fall or early spring but not a winter jacket without additional products being used with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from New work jacket - FINALLY So, I'm a woman who runs my own construction company and I've worn the same work coat for YEARS (like, 12!). It was past time to update my image so have been on the look out for a replacement. This one, in combo with the Steen Mountain Fleece, is gonna work for me. The waterproof aspect is a massive bonus in the soggy Seattle area and I'm surprised how well the Omni Heat Thermal whatnot stuff works, as I was reluctant to believe it was more than a marketing gig. I DO wish it had a hem up zipper like my previous jacket as I'm in & out of my truck a lot. Super Blue color works pretty well for me, though I would have preferred a cherry red jacket & fleece or a gold fleece to contrast the Blue. I will also be moving the velcro over so I can cinch down the cuffs without having 2, 3" "flags" at ATTENTION! at my wrists. Hood is REALLY generous, which, I guess, will work best over another hat or helmet. Have yet to zip in the fleece (which I didn't realize was an option until I received the product!) as I ordered a M (thinking less bulk underneath), but need the L in that too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket So far this is a great jacket. I like the detachable hood and the under-arm vents might come in handy. The only thing I don't like is how big the wrist cuffs are. I guess they're a little big so you can put another jacket underneath, but you can still always tighten them down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I was looking for It is what it is. Anyone expecting a parka should look elsewhere. I wanted a lightweight jacket/coat that wasn't bulky and would give me enough warmth, rain protection, and wind protection for the walk between my office and my car. It is very versatile, which comes in handy with the constantly changing Michigan weather. If and when it gets down into single digits, I can just throw a zippered sweatshirt under it. I'm 6'8" tall with a very long torso, and the 2X is plenty long enough for me. Fits great. Room to move and wear an extra layer if I need it. I am very happy with this purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Zip In Interchange Compatible Bought this to take my Upper Slopes ll Interchange 700 fill down jacket to another level....or so I thought. The zip in feature isn't compatible between the two pieces. My current jacket has a fine pitch zipper that doesn't mate with the coarse pitch on the Heater Change shell. Buyer Beware. The three point system will still attach the shell to the coat, but who wants to hassle with two zippers to put on a coat! I don't. Big disappointment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Unhappy I bought two of these jackets for my teenage boys and they were so thin and worthless that I ended up retiring them for a full refund. I do not recommend this product whatsoever!
