Men's Insect Blocker™ Cargo Pant is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor stitching I know this review is 3 years after I purchased the item, but it's still fresh in my memory. I bought these pants to go on a trip to Alaska and they came in right in time for my trip. I didn't wear them until I was up in Alaska and after 1 day, the stitching around the pockets started to fail. I was nervous my keys or wallet was going to fall out so I had to put those items in my shirt pocket which was made of stronger stitching. I would have returned the item but I wore them several time while in Alaska as those were my main pants. I'm just now writing as I logged in and started to look at the past products I've bought and saw the prompt to write a review. I would look over the stitching before buying another pair of pants, but I've bought many shirts and have been very pleased with those. Maybe it was just this year of pants that were bad.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pants and They Keep the Bugs Off These pants fit me like bespoke. They are probably a little larger than normal in the thighs, that is perfect for me. If you are working, walking and running you are going to have some muscle on your legs. Other pants often don't have enough room. I do find the length of the fly a little short. The best thing is the ability to keep the hungry Adirondack mosquitos away. Wearing these pants with the Insect Blocker shirt keeps me safely covered. I once wore them both but failed to apply repellant to my exposed skin and paid for the oversight. It was amazing how the mosquitos avoided my clothing to focus on my hands and head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish they still made these These are great lightweight summer pants. I wish I could buy more. The insect repellent is a plus in the zika, dengue, chickengunya area I live in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bug off! As an Alaskan fly fishing guide, I know what it is like to be in the thick of mosquitos and gnats. Being way out in the bush, I had limited space for stuff I could bring, but I would never go again without these pants. They fit well, give you room to move, and most importantly: keep the bugs off! These things are life savers, I recommend them to anyone who doesn't like being pestered by insects.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Returned the Product Due to another review which said the pants run small I ordered a larger size. They were too big and had very "baggy" legs. I think even the correct waist size would be too baggy for my preferences.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pants These pants are made from a fabric that is comfortable, stain resistant, and easy to clean. I wear them in instead of jeans when working around the yard, hiking, fishing, ... - easier to move about, bend over, etc. The only reason for a 4 rating is they run a little small compared to previous pairs I have purchased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Lightweight Walking/Hiking Pants (for Women, too!) I am a woman who couldn't find bug blocker hiking pants in women's sizes. These pants were great for me: lightweight, bug proof, adjustable ankle elastics, gently elasticized waist, roomy enough without being puffy looking. I normally wear a women's 6 and got a men's 30/34. The length was fine because of the adjustable elastic at the ankle. The waist was a little roomy, just the way I like it. Stitching, pocket zipper, and fabric quality are excellent.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from They run extremely small Woman's pants are either too big or too small in the Insect Blocker so I have to buy men's. I have a pair that I bought in 2012 in size 32 and they are a bit roomy. My second order was for a 38 since the 34 was so small. I couldn't come close to buttoning it. Really?!? I like the tailored look and the color a lot. Very disappointed about the sizing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from exchange please Where to I go to find out how to send the pants back in exchange for another shirt. Love the shirt and the pants are just ok but not for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hiking pants ever! I haven't hiked in a really buggy area since owning these pants. So I cannot comment on the effectiveness of blocking bugs. However, as hiking pants, bugs or not, they are superb! They are summer weight for sure. Very light. Very cool. Not waterproof, but quite water repellant. I walked through tall dew covered grass. They repelled the water for a while. Eventually soaked through, but then dried very quickly from natural body heat once I left the wet area. Later I washed them in a stream. Less than an hour hanging on a line and they dried completely. The leg cinched convert them to shorts much easier than zip-off leg bottoms. This feature is common in women's pants, but hard to find in men's. They do run small. The seam in the seat needs to be stronger. Mine raveled loose after about 10 days. This may have been due partially to the tighter-than-normal fit. All in all a great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tick proof! Besides affording insect repellence, the are nice looking, light weight pants. They fit well & are good looking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very snappy look, great details These are almost perfect, just a teensy bit short in the rise, but not a problem, just a little different fit from the favorite Silverideg shorts. Details are great, reinforced yellow stitches on the back and yellow trim on the lining of the gray pants. These can be dressy with the Tamiami shirts, or totally casual with t shirt. Fabric is so breathable and pockets are perfect. Home run!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poster Child I guess I could be the poster child of these pants since I just returned from two weeks in Cambodia where I spent four of those days in the insect invested waters of the Tone Sap Lake, Between there and my time in Phnom Penh when I wore these pants I was not bit once. As I have read elsewhere these are a snug fit and i would suggest ordering one waist size up. Great, durable, protective outdoor gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best pants ever My husband has a heart condition and suffers from the heat. We discovered the shirts for this some time ago. These pants make a wonderful contribution to his comfort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more Scratching This is a great product. I am exposed to ticks, chiggers, and other bitting insects almost on a daily basis and while wearing these pants I have had very few bites compared to what I had before I got them. They also fit me like more expensive pants. Keep up your good work Columbia. I'll be getting another pair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bug Shield Cargo Pants I really like these pants, the fabric feels authentic, but light. The only problem I found is the sizing. I always wear a 34 waist but I found a 36 gave me the best fit with these pants

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best All Around Pants For anyone who is constantly engaged in some general outdoor activity these are the best pants I have ever worn. They are extremely comfortable, lightweight, quick-drying, and functional. I now wear them all the time!
