Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat for a northern winter I ordered this coat, for my husband, after a move, to get him through the remaining winter days in the northern United States. This coat has been warm enough for our temps in the 20’s and snow. My husband has been able to wear just the shell or just the outer layer on the wet days. I highly recommend this interchangeable coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trip to Iceland My son went on his first trip and I was worried about quality and price luckily my mom convinced me you had both. His coat was perfect and size was perfect. He was warm and comfortable and it was such a low price. I had bought another jacket from a different store and when I seen the difference in the quality I sent it back and he took this one on his trip and now he has a great jacket for our Chicago winters. He loves it. Thank you for keeping my son warm and comfortable!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid winter gear I’m a mail man and this jacket is awesome on cold and rainy days. Regardless of the weather we got to be out there delivering mail. The jacket is good at keeping me warm and dry. What’s sucks more than freezing? Being wet and freezing! This jacket keeps you warm and dry, and it does not restrict movement, nor is it too bulky. It was a little bit bigger than I expected, but it’s ok with because it allows me to layer up even more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Warm & Somehow Light & Thin! The Omni-Heat technology is amazing! When this jacket showed up, I initially thought I had made an ordering mistake because it was so light and thin compared to other winter jackets and coats I have had. I put it on and headed out with the snowblower in 20-degree temperature for over an hour. It was so warm I could not believe it! My neighbor was out doing his driveway and I stopped to show him the reflective lining in my new jacket. He smiled, opened his, and showed me he had the same lining! I grew up standing at the bus stop with other children who also could not put their arms down. Our Might Mack jackets were so thick that we spent winters looking like the letter "T!" I am happily more of a lowercase "i" with this jacket. Amazingly thin and somehow very warm inside. Columbia really hit a home run with this one. I came back to the site to order some socks and pants so I can keep the rest of me warm while I clear our street. A++

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this is my second pair 5 years ago I purchased the same jacket to use skiing. I went with Columbia for all of my outerwear initially because I am a big guy and it seemed almost nobody else was making QUALITY outerwear for big people. I put about 170 days on the hill in all weather conditions from -10 to 50 degrees and it has worked very well. The old jacket got some wear on it so I went ahead and purchased the new one. I have 3 days on the new coat and it is great. Yesterday it was -5 on the hill and I was very warm. My only comments are this coat fits a bit larger than the one 5 years ago and I wish they had the red color from 5 years ago too. I ended up buying black, which is totally fine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Compared to my last Columbia winter coat - disappointed I bought my first Columbia winter coat 20 years ago. It was the most expensive coat I had ever purchased, but given Columbia's reputation for quality and durability, I took a chance - and wasn't disappointed. It took all the abuse I could dish out, and came back for more. It was truly an investment, and I recommended it to everyone who would listen. After 20 years, it is showing its age: one or two seams that have come loose a little, and the zippers are well worn, but with a trip to a seamstress, it would be back up and running again. I decided to replace it. I've put on a few pounds, and the old coat doesn't fit like it used to - no fault of the coat. This new coat is nothing like my old one. I have owned it for less than three months, and after a trip to the store last night, I discovered a small tear in the left sleeve that will require returning it to the manufacturer for (hopefully) repair; not hiking , skiing, tobogganing, cutting firewood, all activities for which I wore my last Columbia winter coat, a trip to the store. Although it has the new high-tech insulation, it is not as warm as my last coat was, especially at the shoulders. Yes, it does appear to shed water well, and it does provide a decent level of warmth, but for the truly cold temps that Michigan can dish out, I still recommend wearing a long sleeve shirt or a light sweater under it to insure your warmth. I bought the regular size, but the sleeves still run long, so keep that in mind. The overall length of the jacket is quite good. I have read the other reviews saying this coat takes abuse and provides warmth under the worst of conditions; my own experience just three months from the date of purchase isn't that optimistic. I would classify it as a good light, possibly medium, duty coat, but it just can't be compared to my last Columbia winter coat. I am VERY disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from VancouverWinter 2017 Bought on recommendation from ski shop as 'Columbia has bigger sizes 4X' quite a jump from 3X. Very warm for skiing when temp is hovering around freezing point with rain and snow. The silver lining really works well in keeping heat and sweat inside garment. Not happy with powder skirt - seen many competitors with better powder skirt at a cheaper price

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent winter jacket For a jacket this light, I can't believe how warm it is. This is the best winter jacket that I have ever owned. My one suggestion would be to make the zipper open from the bottom as well as the top, to make it easier when getting in and out if the car.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made jacket! This coat is very warm. Weather is below zero right now and I am completely warm when wearing it. I recommend you size up (that's why I wrote that it runs a little small). But yes I'd recommend it to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big and Active Lhotse II interchange fills the bill for the big man who's very active out of doors. Love the winter, love the snow. I get all desired features in a comfortable and stylish platform. Ascender jacket, bugaboo parka, and titanium product lines made me an avid consumer... Lhotse II exceeds all expectations!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Jacket I give 4 stars only because I haven't had the jacket long. So far so good. The coldest I've been in with it so far is -4 and it worked perfectly. I couldn't tell it was cold. At least my torso couldn't feel much but warmth. I'm glad I bought it. I'd recommend it if you're going somewhere cold that's for sure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Big Man's Jacket Bought this as an everyday jacket for commuting. I usually wear a 3X but have trouble with my shoulders so I opted for a 4X to have room for layering. Fits nicely for me up top, extra room in the trunk but that was expected and wanted for layering. I used this immediately in two days at 25 degrees F with a 10 mph wind. Nothing underneath except a dress shirt and a cotton crew neck undershirt. The jacket held its own. Cut the wind and the reflective material absolutely worked to keep me warm. There is literally no bulk to this jacket either. I should also note I had the underarm vents open as I usually sweat in all weather. The not so good: The sleeves on this jacket annoy me enough that I only gave it 4 stars. The Velcro on the sleeves stops short so the adjustment tabs not only are constantly sticking out, but I can't get the sizing tight enough to keep them from riding down when I have no gloves on. Easy fix just double the Velcro length on the sleeve. Additionally the interior lining has shed slightly and left "glitter" on my clothes. I've only had it a week I attributed it to being brand new and having a few specs loosen up from manufacturing. At this point it's not an issue. Overall so far it performs as advertised. At this point I would recommend - especially for the price point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The product was everything it was said to be. The coat is fully what I thought. The lining is wonderful and can be worn separate for a jacket in warmer weather. Can not expect anymore in a jacket. Love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Texas Elements I bought this jacket for the crazy Texas weather, morning 30s and afternoon 70s etc. I love the fact that it is interchangeable! Keeps me surprisingly warm, and its very comfortable. I bought the 4x and it fits just right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy columbia After ordering two jackets that look great and were sized very very small and did not perform as described I ordered Columbia just like my 15 yr old ski jacket. I am very happy with my new Columbia.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice jacket I just got this XXL jacket yesterday. I'm 6'4'' and 300 lbs. Have used it with temps in the 40s, breezy and light rain. I was concerned that it would be too warm in these conditions. I was surprised that it is just nice and pleasantly warm. Completely dry and wind proof. Not too bulky in the car. The only less than sterling feature is the liner cuffs are a little tight when taking the jacket off over my large hands. Not a deal breaker. I really like this jacket and have already recommended it to a family member.
