Men's Loch Lomond™ Jacket is rated out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by StarvinMarvin from Light weight and good to go Jacket is light weight and workmanship certainly indicates water tight seams. Yet because of light weight it will feel like heat retention will be an concern. The wind might be a factor when it comes to wind chill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dover from Fabulous Shell! Breathable and Waterproof! Active fit is slimmer in middle. I owned an OmniTech 3-in-1 beginning in December 2001 before living in England for 5 months. (Rain & cold: Woohoo!) I continued to use it all the time once I returned to the states, from outdoor adventures to daily use. It was an incredible jacket until one day the zipper that attached the hood broke. Upholding their highest standards of product quality and of customer service, Columbia tried to repair it but could not. It was a sad day. They issued me an e-credit. To my disappointment I could not find a 3-in-1 with the same aspects as my original, especially all the great pockets (I had 7 total one the shell and 3 on the liner). They have nothing that compares to the versatility today. The biggest and most surprising challenge was finding something with underarm vents in a shell. Like I wrote before, NOTHING in Columbia's closet exists like that now. I'm a deceptively large guy at 6'2", 255lbs (most people can't figure out where that last 30 are). Depending on the company I wear anything from an XL to a 3X. Fortunately the XL is perfect without being fitted. The "modern classic" and "active" fits are accurate. (Measure yourself so you don't waste time guessing on a size since sizing has become so varied from company to company.) The former is comfortable and can easily handle layers. Go a size up in anything that is an "active" fit so you can layer, unless you have the funds to by multiple jackets. This shell lives up to the reviews. Also, it was great to get it on sale. It will be completely worth the price of it lasts me at least 15 years like my last shell did. It would have like made it 30 years being water proof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TallAndSlimHiker from A little small, stands up to conditions The jacket is great. Not only does it look very nice, it fits very well, though a little small in the arms. As most Columbia jackets fit, the arms and length are a little long which worked out very well for me. I'm 6'5", 190lb and order a medium. The arms a little slim but the arm length and torso length are great, fits well through the chest. As for how the jacket stands up to weather: I live in Colorado and have had the jacket for about two weeks. I commute to work and wearing this jacket as a shell with a layer underneath has worked great in wind chills of about 5-10 F. The arms are not completely wind-proof but the jacket is completely water-proof. Overall, the jacket fits slim. If you're a larger build I would highly suggest ordering a size up from what you normally wear, if slim build perhaps the same size or one lower. Has stood up to the test of snow, decent winds and cold weather that Colorado offers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jeian from Rain killer This is by far the best rain jacket I have ever owned. I am a photojournalist so I work out in the elements year round. I've had many other rain jackets and they have all performed ok. The price of this jacket seems a little over the top and I really wrestled with the decision to buy this product. NO REGRETS! I am 100% satisfied and I love it when it rains because I get to use this jacket. Fits like a glove and the movement is excellent. Zipper vents keep you cool and it's easy to work in. If you want a rain jacket that looks fantastic and performs like a champ then this is the one. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dilts from Amazing Jacket Extremely lightweight, breathable rain jacket. Looks even better than it performs. Reflective detail and backpack compatibility makes this jacket perfect. Has collar adjustment and very nice hood adjustments. The huge 2-way pit zips allow me to dump access heat. I highly recommend this jacket.
