Excellent Boots! I needed something rugged and protecting for hiking in the high desert, and these are some of the best boots I have found. I am still on my first pair after 3 years of regular hiking in tough, dry, sandy, and rocky terrain.

Comfort and security in all weather conditions
My husband and I decided we needed good hiking boots after doing our first hike in tennis shoes.
I loved the look of Danner boots but the $300 price tag and every review mentioning a lengthy break in period made it clear they were not the boots for us.
We went to the store to try on different boots and these Columbia boots were super comfortable, had impressive reviews and reasonably priced.
We are just leaving Gatlinburg and I had to come leave my own review because I am so impressed with the comfort and performance of these boots.
Straight out of the box, they were comfortable for all day and night wear. No rubbing, pinching or blisters and, with a pair of wool socks, our feet stayed warm and dry. Temperatures ranged from 32 degrees F to 57 F. From walking the streets of downtown Gatlinburg to 2 days of hiking in both clear sunny weather on day 1 to a six mile hike in the snow on day 2, these boots performed!
Our feet stayed comfortable, dry and warm the entire time.
I cringed when my husband stepped in a waterfall Creek in his new boots then watched the water roll right off of them as he stepped out of the creek.
Up and down steep, Rocky trails of snow, we kept balance and traction.
We could not have asked for anything more from these boots!
He normally wears a 10 in shoes. He tried on the 10.5 thinking they were 10s. They were very comfortable so he didn't bother to try the 10.

Sturdy comfort and waterproof
I've had these boots for nearly a year and have been using them as hiking and work boots. They have served me well in all weather conditions, including snow. They show almost no wear for the abuse and they are as comfortable on day 1 as day 365. I will be purchasing these in different colorways just to have some diversity. Glad I found these boots

Very poor design
The laces loop (the one in the front) is pressing the toe knuckle at both feet. after half an hour walking got a blister at my left foot and a red spot on my right foot. May be is only due to my anatomy but again this is a pretty bad design. Never had any problems with other boots. I return the product.

Finally, a waterproof boot that fits me
I have very large feet--anywhere from a 16 to a 20 in varying brands and styles. For years, the only boots I have had were my military-issue tan boots, and as you probably know if you've had ACU's, those are not waterproof. Lately, I've just been resigned to wearing tennis shoes and knowing that they're going to get very wet on strike.
But at long last, I have waterproof boots that fit. They fit with plenty of room for my feet, and when combined with my big rain gear pants, will let me step in a puddle several inches deep quickly and come out dry. Once I get them broken in, I fully expect them to have as much flexibility as my old Army boots do.

All Round Amazing
These boots are just what I expected from a high quality product. Constructed with High quality material and from experience they are water proof. I have no regrets in spending the extract for high quality. I wear them every day and the boots get even more comfortable. i can walk for miles, in the forest and in the city with no issues. Enjoyed them until they started to fall apart
Had a good six months with these boots and really liked them until about six months later the uppers started to become disconnected from the soles. Loved them until then. Now, not so much.

Great General Outdoor Boot
This has been one of the best products I've purchased! I've been using them for about three months in water, mud and general walking. They work great at the dog park after a rain - they always look better than the dog when I leave! I have recommended them to a number of others at the park and I've received complements on how nice they look. I bought a second pair for my husband and he loves time too. Super waterproof but may need an extra sock in winter.

Usually great!
I have worn these boots for several years and have gone through about 6 pair. They are light, comfortable and the perfect boot for everyday use at play or work. However, the last pair I had fell apart with about 75% of expected life left in them. The sole de-laminated from the upper rendering them useless. I didn't have the store receipt so a warranty claim was out of the question. I just bought another pair so hopefully they live up to my expectations.

I just bought my third pair of these! I absolutely love them. I wear them for work and on average wear them about 12-14 hours a day. These are the only boots I haven't experienced foot, knee and back pain with. I highly recommend them to everyone no matter what you're using them for

Bought this shoe for work. I’m on my feet most of the day. So far I have found the shoe to be good quality but comfort somewhat lacking in the insole. I changed insole to an aftermarket and 90% improvement! Now I love the shoe as long as it holds up.

Not good for sensitive feet
I have had plantar fasciitis in the past and these boots were not good for that at all! I was thinking that a product from Columbia would be great, but these were not. The soles were very hard and had no cushion whatsoever and the insoles were a thin non-molded piece of foam.

Comfortable but slowly starting to come apart.
I like the style of these boots but shoe glue in between spaces are starting to come apart and I'm starting to wonder how long they will last. I purchased the boots in May 2019 and it is September 1st, 2019. In the future I'll only purchase these at discounted at prices. I wear size 16.

very good shoe for hiking
I love hiking and was looking for a shoe that is comfortable , waterproof , lighweight and easy to walk on rocks and terrains that are slippery. This shoe fitted all my needs I had. Last week we went for hike in Yosemite that was 15-18 miles with elevation of close to 5500 ft and route covered terrains that had waterfalls, rocks, mud. I felt very comfortable while hiking as cushions are very good, ankles fit in perfectly, all comfortable and good grip when climbing rocks. Although by end of our hike, the shoe was covered with dust but it was easy to clean by wiping with a wet cloth or wipe. So, overall I recommend this shoe for hiking.

These hiking boots are the most comfortable hiking boots I have ever had! I hiked over 50 miles in them on my trip to Iceland and my feet felt great. I even climbed to the top of Kirkjufell Mountain in them! I am very impressed with the comfort of these boots.

Really impressed with these boots! I'm a big guy (6'7, 285lbs, size 16 boot) and these boots got me up and down a Colorado 14er with no problem. Great traction on rocky trails and plowed thru snow with ease. Their superior support prevented me from twisting my ankle 3 times on a steep descent. Very comfortable and look great as well. Thanks Columbia for making gear for us larger people.

Amazing Product!
I went on a 70 mile backpacking trip on the northern portion of the Kungsleden trail in Sweden. I didn’t want to break the bank, but knew I would need good quality, supportive, and waterproof boots for the journey. I cannot even begin to express how pleased I am with these boots. I am so impressed at how they performed. I did not get any blisters even though it was the first time I had ever worn the boots. They are so comfortable. We stepped in 3” deep muddy puddles at times and had to walk across small rivers on some rocks that were sticking up higher and the water cane up more than halfway up my boots on multiple occasions, but my feet remained dry. I cannot say how they’ll hold up over time or how they do in rain, but as of now, I’m giving these a solid 5 star without a doubt in mind!

A woman in a man's - Shoe
I picked a man's hiking boot cause they didn't offer a black on black boot for women, which seems to be the normal. I love the midi boot because of the feel of security on the ankle and it doesn't rub my skin raw after wearing them all day. The sole is great when trekking over unstable rocks and stomping through dirt. A waterproof boot was a must for me and it stays true. I highly recommend this boot to anyone looking for a waterproof hiking boot that'll make it through a long day of hiking.

Great hiking boots. Bought them for a hiking trip and wore them every day for 9 days. On the trip, I did an 8 hour hike and the next few days did a 4 hour hike in them. They felt sturdy and I never had any discomfort or pain in them. Almost thinking I should buy a second pair for whenever I wear them out.

I was a little skeptical at first, being that I needed boots for work and I'm in the construction trade. I normally dont use steel toe or any other safety boot, because I'm on my feet 16hrs a day. So i need comfort more than safety. To my surprise I found these, the color coordination is amazing and my favorite colors. The red shoe laces are nice and bright, making these boots easy to match your gear lol. As far as comfort goes they are above average but could use some minor tweaking. None the less they are comfy. Will definitely buy these again, hope they in stock and available when I need them but I'm not worry Colombia always has many great options. Thank you Columbia footwear!

Order a half size down
One of my favorite things about Columbia boots through the years has been the consistent sizing. I know that I wear an 11M in Columbia boots: until this pair. I actually wonder if they sewed the wrong label into these. This is my second pair of Newton Ridge boots and I did not have this issue with the previous pair. I also put approximately 1500 miles on the previous pair before they sprang a leak.

Both toe seams seperated after a year, just like my last pair of Colombia boots
I'm a little past a year of ownership of these, and JUST LIKE my last pair... the toe seams (connects the tip of the sole to the leather on the boot ) has completely blown out. Not on one shoe, but on both.
Very disappointed.
