OutDry™ Extreme is our first ever waterproof and breathable fabric technology constructed with a waterproof layer on the outside and soft, wicking fabric inside. Traditional raingear uses interior waterproof membranes which don't allow for air flow, and water-repellent coating that degrades over time. With OutDry™ Extreme, the rugged exterior is an incredibly water-tight membrane with millions of microscopic perforations that let water vapor escape through a wicking membrane directly fused to the shell.
Great on the trail, the fully seam-sealed Titanium OutDry Ex with bold, external seam taping is a problem solver when it comes to a soaking rain. The bonded, horizontal baffles keep the 700 fill power goose down in place and eliminates the cold spots. This versatile down jacket is perfect for just about anywhere it’s cold and wet.

MEN'S OUTDRY™ EX GOLD DOWN HOODED JACKET - BIGPros: 1. very nice jacket, I love the color, and the quality of the material, and of the jacket itself is excellent.
2. Zippered outer pockets are large enough to be useful, and the zippers keep things safe.
Cons: 2. I couldn't give this a better ratting, as I paid as much as I did because I needed as very warm coat, and for wearing here in Wyoming. I am disabled and it is hard for me to put on clothing. This is not to hard to put on, but it is no where near as warm as stated, especially in the reviews where some said that it the jacket was extremely warm at a temp. of 0 degrees. The temp here has been running a bit colder at about 10 below and this jacket has me shivering, while wearing it, a tee shirt, a and a flannel shirt.

Amazing coatI wasn't sure about this coat when it came out of the box. I thought that I had received the wrong size, but after I put it on was amazed at how well it fit. It seemed way to thin to provide any protection, but I guess that Turbodown works as advertised because this coat is amazingly warm. We've had a couple of recent days with wind chills in the 20's and this coat has kept me toasty warm. Plus, everyone at work loves the bright blue color.

Ski jacketI’ve got his jacket for fishing in cold weather even snow weather ! It works excellent, it was 29° in Clearlake, Nice California. 3 AM it got really cold and foggy and I try the jacket on finished until six in the morning. I stayed warm and dry with just a long sleeve shirt on underneath and some gloves for my hands and it was a lot of drizzle might rain and I didn’t get wet !

No Venting = Too MoistI got this jacket when prepping to visit family in Fairbanks, AK. I would consistently "sweat out" this jacket on fairly easy hikes in -10f weather. The moisture would condense on the inside of the jacket, and then freeze into frost on the seams.
It's been great for walking around in winter rain down here in the contiguous 48, though. Just wouldn't risk anything terribly strenuous with it.
