Uses Winter

OutDry™ Extreme is our first ever waterproof and breathable fabric technology constructed with a waterproof layer on the outside and soft, wicking fabric inside. Traditional raingear uses interior waterproof membranes which don't allow for air flow, and water-repellent coating that degrades over time. With OutDry™ Extreme, the rugged exterior is an incredibly water-tight membrane with millions of microscopic perforations that let water vapor escape through a wicking membrane directly fused to the shell.

A go-to, everyday coat for the winter, this warm, fully seam-sealed Titanium jacket features an Omni-Heat thermal reflective lining in tandem with underarm venting, a storm hood and an adjustable hem and cuffs to keep the strong winds at bay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent quality but.....noisy Great fit! Love that you can be in the rain! Love that it is insulated. BUT!!! The material is noisy, crunchy sounding, like a plastic bag. Also, there is a lack of pockets, which is a deal breaker for my husband. He is 5'8" 175lbs athletic and the Medium fit was great! Trying to find a warm, waterproof coat for the PNW that has pockets is a real trick!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everyday All-Purpose Go-To Jacket Of all the jackets I own, I look forward to using this one whenever it rains. I’ve never owned a drier jacket after a downpour and have also used it this past month during the wet snowstorms here in the Northeast. It’s also surprisingly breathable as it kept me warm and dry while walking, hiking in windy, wet conditions and while shoveling snow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Money I always go to citadel outlet, and whenever I am there,i will walk straight to Columbia store. Why? The best quality is the reason. Most of the time I bought shoes but now I got this best jacket. On March,10th ,2018 the big rain and storm hit Los Angeles and I wore it all day long because I must work in the rain. I would tell people around the world ' this is best raincoat jacket ever' . Also, I still wear it even there is no rain because it makes me look good. I got many girls look 2nd times when I walk pass by. I love this jacket as same as I love my wife. Thank you 'Columbia' to created only the good stuffs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great go-to jacket! Great jacket to have! Light enough that you don’t get too hot on normal days but also keeps you very warm. Great fit. The OutDry is a little different than most Columbia jackets but I love it. Can’t wait to get another OutDry product. Fit is great if slightly on the smaller side.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Jacket I bought this jacket for the raining season, color is grey, the material looks like made with rubber. I hanged it to the closet for few months and never have a chance to wear. To day I take it out from the closet, that is very surprise me, the jacket I never wear, how come the color is change to dark grey in some big area, I try to clean it, but never success.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OutDry Jacket For a lightweight jacket it is very warm and is truly waterproof. Two things I don't like are the lack of pockets and it is somewhat noisy....has a crinkling sound whenever you move. Otherwise, a very good jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Has great materials The water proof outside shell with reinforced seams and special zippers is amazing. Not only is it water proof but the wind resistant with that is great. I ride a moped a lot to school and with only a t-shirt underneath on a 40 degree day, the omni heat keeps me warm the entire ride. The jacket also has a very sporty look and I like how easy it is to clean with the water proof material all over. 11/10 recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best of Both Worlds Who says you can’t have it all? This jacket combines the top of the line Outdry technology with Omniheat warmth. A great jacket at a very reasonable price for all that you get. I highly recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm and waterproof! The coat has a unique outerlayer that is shiny and a little noisy. This is not a very "packable" raincoat, but its bulk is offset by the water protection and warmth it provides! Really warm, and would make a killer ski jacket. You'll appreciate the pit vents. I have worn it in a downpour once so far, for maybe a half hour total, and it beaded water flawlessly. Have tested it in the shower, under the faucet - perfect performance so far. I will be taking it to SE Alaska this summer for 8 weeks on a glacier field, and will have a better idea of its functionality after that. Can't give it 5 stars if I haven't really used it yet. Be aware: it is cut a little slim, so if you are big around the waist, or want to fit it over a bunch of layers, maybe size up. Additionally, pocket space isn't huge, the front zipper is very sturdy and sealed well but sometimes is a little awkward to operate. Hood is big enough for a helmet, and still stays on well in a stiff breeze.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's Raining! It's been raining here off and on. I wore my jacket out with just a t-shirt and I didn't feel the temp outside (3am/ mid 40's F) save for my legs cause I was in canvas pants. This is my first Out/Dry membrane jacket. I'm already looking at the Out/Dry rain jackets without the insulation cause it was almost over-kill. The insulation kept me warm as the morning progressed and I didn't feel my sweat as I worked thanks to how well it wicks moisture. I wear a small but I wouldn't trade my medium for anything. I plan to use it all winter in the mountains surrounding this valley. Great product backed by a great warranty. I've always loved my Columbia gear but this Out/Dry gear helped make me a customer for life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This jacket will make you want to go play in the rain -this Outdry material has a sheen -this Outdry material is a bit "krinkly" -the "black" material looks like dark grey -the seam seals blend nicely -the hood is fully adjustment -nice adjustable wrist velcro seals out cold and rain -lightweight and somewhat packable -no need to worry about DWR "wet out" anymore -completely wind and waterproof -omni-heat initially feels cold (on skin) at first but quickly warms up especially if you are moving around -might be too warm for strenuous activity like biking or running - good for fishing, hiking, yardwork -roomy wide & deep front pockets & an inner chest pocket with zipper -active fit may be a bit tight - shows bulges if you have stuff in your pocket -pit zips work well -zippers seal out water and also has a back flap (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Waterproof Jacket EVER! I'm a full-time captain and year-round guide on the coast of British Columbia, one of the harshest and most demanding environments on earth. Enduring torrential rains, winds, and driving ocean spray is a daily occurrence. The Outdry Ex Gold Insulated Jacket is the only jacket I've ever worn that has kept me bone dry after long, hard days out in the weather. I no longer wear Goretex, thick rubber coats, wool, etc. the Outdry is so far superior to any of those materials that it can't even be compared.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needs more pockets! I own more Columbia jackets than I can count. This is my first Outdry jacket. My only complaint is the lack of pockets. Columbia usually has multiple pockets on the inside and outside. This jacket only has the one inside pocket and the two outside ones. The inside pocket is not deep enough for both a phone and wallet.
