Rated 4 out of 5 by PHmd from Great water-proof shoes, as expected from Columbia Not quite as squishy as the pair of Columbia Grizztooth's that this new purchase replaced, but still very well constructed and comfortable. Feet stayed dry hiking through a couple inches of swampy grass/mud, no leaks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jamesncali from Great General Use shoe I purchase these shoes to use for my casual Friday's at work as well as weekend chores. The shoe is really good quality and I've done some serious walking in these. As far as taking it to trails and hikes. These shoes will hold up very well in paved and semi traveled paths, if you're going to do some rugged hiking, they'll last a few months or less. I don't think these shoes were designed for massive trail beatings. Overall this is a great shoe for $65.00, which I purchased here. As for the popping sound the other review had... Only thing I can think of is when you're walking on a hard semi to smooth surface, it grips well and if you're walking heavy it does grip and makes a slight popping or tapping sound. It's semi hard rubber grips combined with soft rubber soles that might be causing the shoe to squash down a little and generate a very slight suction. It's not a big issue at all, in fact these shoes grip really well in dirt covered rocks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by scott13 from Consider twice before buying these I purchased these shoes and at first I absolutely loved them. They worked and fit very well. Unfortunately, this did not last. The material/support of the back heal, on one of the two shoes, has completely broken and compressed down. If now forms a large solid lump in the back heal support and is now very uncomfortable. The other shoe is completely fine. I own a ton of Columbia gear and this is the first time I wouldn’t recommend one of their products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by TomBomb from Shoes make awful popping sound that just gets louder I really wanted to like these shoes, but Columbia's quality control is obviously not up to par. I bought two pairs. The first pair starting popping very quickly. I returned the first pair for a second pair, hoping it was just a manufacturing fluke. Well, it isn't fluke and the second pair started making the same popping sound after a few days. The noise is loud and makes me extremely self-conscious. I've tried everything I can think of to make it go away, but it's obviously deep inside the sole of the shoe. It's doubtful I'll ever trust Columbia again. Buyer beware! Columbia, you really need to get your quality control act together if you want to sell products at this price point.
