Rated 4 out of 5 by ren0901 from Good value at $70 The OmniHeat caught my eye but not as heat trapping as an OmniHeat jacket. Also runs a bit narrow but quickly gives room. Very light and comfortable - if you know going in that it's a bit narrow, you'll be happy with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jake88 from Great boot! I just took a 35 mile backpacking trip in the Porcupine Mountains of the Upper Peninsula in Michigan, and I wore these boots for the whole trip. I hadn’t broke. Then in a ton, and I didn’t get any blisters on the trip. They were pretty comfortable throughout the hike, and were almost perfectly waterproofed. The only knock I have on them is when you tie them tight, it emphasized certain pressure points that made my feet hurt in certain spots. When I tied them a little more loose, they felt great! I would highly recommend them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by setdahook from Great Purchase I've used them through 2 hunting seasons in West Texas. Through cold (20-32 degrees) and warmer South Texas heat, rainy and soggy conditions. I avoided insulated boots due to the less than severe winters down south and wanted a multi-season boot to hike and manage wet conditions. For the colder temps, I just throw on a pair of warmer socks. There ideal for a day at the range in the Texas summer. Yes, it's hot but no different then a pair of nikes. These are light weight (not clunky) and still offer the protection of traversing through rocks and cactus. Not for the extreme cold & wet like our friends in the Rockies, but ideal for the Texas cold/heat. Size is perfect. Currently over 2 years old and still in new like condition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gators24 from Better than I expected. Just moved to Chicago so I was looking for some waterproof boots for winter. The fact that these came with the Omni heat technology is what made me buy them. I have enough room to double sock and fit comfortably inside. Definitely recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hikex from Great boots for my activities Ordered half a size larger than my previous ones because I wanted a little more room. Size wise it seems like I have more room than I wanted. I think it feels a little different than my previous PeakFrek cause these are waterproof. They are warm and the grip of these shows are excellent. these boots do not look bulky - so they can be used anytime. Laces are very good too. Yes to try them in water.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nemuel from Excellent cost vs benefit First product of the brand that I buy. I use it day by day and in some hikings of 5-6 hours. It catches me very well, shielding my feet from moisture as I passed small pools of water. I think it will be very useful for me to go to school or work on rainy days. As the shoe is not very wide like those of other brands that I saw, it can be worn with pants without looking too out of the situation. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 3 out of 5 by RecreationalHiker from I wanted to like this boot. . . I'm a huge fan of Columbia and will continue to purchase their products, but I wasn't able to use this boot, as when first tying the laces one of the loops ripped out. Cushioning of the boot felt excellent, so it's a shame. Columbia was great as always with processing a prompt refund.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jpowels from Great fit and traction, keeps feet warm too! I bought these last minute for a trip up to Mammoth Lakes, CA, where they have been experiencing amazing snowfall this year. The temperature was around 26 degrees Fahrenheit and my feet stayed dry and warm. Traction was great, allowed me to walk over icy and slippery areas with a higher level of confidence as I felt the soles grip. I will say that the Omni Heat makes your feet feel warm in higher temperature conditions(60 degrees or higher), but my feet were not sweaty when I took them off. They are also lightweight, which is a plus over previous waterproof boots I have purchased. I also have a planned trip within the next few months to Scotland and Ireland, so I look forward to using them there as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Footdoctor from Narrow shoe I had to return because they were so narrow and I have a medium foot. I usually like a shoe that is not wide. But these were so tight they were actually painful to wear. If you have a narrow foot then they are definitely for you. I would get a half inch longer though. They were not long enough either. Fine quality construction and materials.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FortyCreek from Put to the test. I had the previous design of this boot for the last 3 years. Not only was it used for extensive hiking in Oregon back country, hunting, but it was also my primary work boot while working at the port. I had foot issues due to the amount of time I spent on concrete while working, averaging 12 miles a day walking while managing projects. I have to say these boots saved my feet. Not only were they super comfortable, they were super light, held up VERY well considering how many miles I put on them. Hands down the best boot I've ever owned. I've had Danner's, Georgia's, Red Wings, Irish Setters, Merrel's, you name it. Boot was true to size for me. I am excited to give the new design a run for it's money.
