Men’s Peakfreak™ XCRSN II XCEL Low Hiking Shoe is rated out of 5 by 18.
Rated 4 out of 5 by xiejialao3 from Good shoes but could be better The shoes are good generally. But it runs a little bit tight. I think if the same design can have both M and W , it will attract more buyers. Some people have wide feet plus people sometimes will wear two shocks. Over all is a good product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by WindyCityHiker from Very solid comfortable hiker I got these hikers for winter in the city, and they’ve very much lived up to expectations. They were comfortable straight out of the box, plenty of cushioning and their best feature is the highly grippable outsole. Whether snow or ice, they keep me sure-footed and comfortable. Good job Columbia!

Rated 5 out of 5 by dddd from PEAKFREAK works well for me This is my second pair of PEAKFREAK shoes. I like them because they are light but sturdy. I've found them to be immediately comfortable with no break-in required. I use custom-made orthotics in the shoes. I walk in the city on sidewalks and park pathways. I tend to wear out the outside heel of the shoes so I usually replace them after 8 or 9 months. The uppers maintain their original appearance with an occasional wipe with a damp cloth. Rated 1 out of 5 by TexasMule from No support or cushion I am thoroughly disappointed in the quality of this shoe. The shoe has absolutely no support, or cushion. There is no way you could hike in this shoe. It has the same quality as something you could find at Wal-Mart. I would not recommend this shoe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BigM64 from Nice shoe but a little short and snug in the toe box. Ordered these when on sale. Blue/orange colors were true to viewing. Others had remarked that they were true to fit and the toe box was large compared to other brands. Based on this, I ordered my regular shoe size 11/M. Unfortunately, I found this not to be the case, even with a multi-day break-in. Shoe leaves little room for length and the width in the toe box is very snug. It is tolerable but little longer and wider would have made these perfect. Will keep due to the break-in use. My average comfort rating reflects the shoe's tightness, which subtracts from the overall rating.

Rated 2 out of 5 by hmossner from Surprisingly disappointing I had high hopes for these... in my quest to find a versitile everyday shoe, i thought these would be a balance between value, quality & performance but i was wrong... my wife even made the comment, “ they look like you bought them at walmart”. needless to say, i returned them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AntD from 2nd Version Purchase I bought the first version of these over two years ago and was glad to learn that they released a second version when I went to buy the first version again. As good as the first ones were, these are even better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by RonnieB from MEN'S PEAKFREAK™ XCRSN II XCEL LOW HIKING SHOE Very light weight and comfortable. I wear them for general purpose usage in and around the North Country and they work great. Stable and reliable traction on slippery surfaces. Also, a very capable shoe for running if required.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GRH8 from Well made, color somewhat unexpected These shoes are well made and very light weight relative to other low top hiking shoes I've owned. The traction on the soles are outstanding, and the sizing is as expected. These have less cushioning than Merrells I've worn but this translates to firmer support. My only warning to prospective buyers is that the color is considerably darker than they appear on the website picture. The grey accents are nearly unobservable as contrasting, and the shoes are (almost) monochromatic. If that works for you, great, but be aware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Judge from Just what I was looking for! It is very hard for me to get comfortable shoes, but these fit the bill perfectly! I can spend all day in them no problem. I have even had several compliments on them, which rarely happens.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JoeShopper from Would have been good except... They were almost all black. The photo shows grey sides with dark black insets and a red logo. In real life, the grey parts were much closer to black. The only reason I returned them is that they didn't look like the photo, otherwise I would have kept them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CS219 from Great all purpose shoe! I have had these shoes for about 3 weeks so far and they are absolutely great. They are very comfortable and seem to be made with quality. I have worn them to the gym, doing yard work, running, off shore fishing, bass fishing, and casually. They have performed well in all fields and maintain great appearance. The only reason I have given a 4 star review in place of a 5 is because I have only had them for 3 weeks, but if they continue to hold up this well they are worthy of a 5 star. Hope this review is helpful.
