Men’s Platinum 860 TurboDown™ Down Jacket is rated out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Farris from Best light weight jacket The turbodown 860 is the best cold weather jacket I have ever had! Bar none. I also love the Omni - Heat liner keeps me toasty. But when I go inside I just zip open the jacket I am comfortable not hot at all. My wife and my cousin love theirs too. I would be more than happy to recommend this jacket to anyone, with high marks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MountainMan27 from Warm and Reliable I have used this jacket through two fishing seasons, hunting seasons, and winters full of skiing. It breaths very well, keeps me very warm in northern Minnesota winters (to an extent), and had remained fully intact despite how rough I am on my clothes. I generally go through a jacket every year or two after consistently walking through brush, getting too close to fire, and crawling under barbed wire fences while hunting and camping. However, I have yet to irreparably damage this jacket. Sometimes it does get damp and then it looses a great deal of its ability to keep in heat but I expect this with all apparel. Overall, I am very impressed with this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sc238 from Great product but feels big This is a quality product and keeps warmth without having to way too many layers. The only faults I find are two: 1) Run a bit large, (I'm 5'8" and 145 pounds, but the size S is still on the large side, and if there is a XS, it would have been perfect; especially, this jacket does not require a lot of layers. So, with a base layer, this jacket is a big loose and large, even for me. 2) There are no inside pockets to put anything valuable. I guess with the reflective lining, there was no "room" for internal pockets. Why not? But, I got it on sale, so it was a super sweet deal...

Rated 3 out of 5 by OutdoorsAndrew from Built for a bigger man I'm pretty average in size (5'10" and 180lbs) and I buy a Large in almost everything I own. I purchased the Large Turbodown Jacket with high expectations and a looming mountaineering trip to the Three Sisters area. Unfortunately, like others have commented, the body of the jacket is made for a much bigger man. The bottom of the jacket is quite wide and I had to keep my shell on in order to keep the wind from blowing up the jacket and removing all of the warm, insulated air away from my body. The result caused me to be either too warm (too many layers) or too cold (no way to keep the warm air in). A simple elastic band around the bottom of the jacket would have solved this issue, but it's an economy model and you get what you pay for... The insulation was enough when the wind wasn't blowing or I had an outer shell on, but I want more flexibility from a coat than this one gives. I'll be going to Columbia's high-end brand for my next down jacket. This one just didn't cut it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Diallomg from Hal Best warmest jacket ever own, nothing else comes close. Light, easy ship as I go to china often and some of the coldest places in north China, with a light at., shirt under I was more than warm in temp, as low at 15 below, and winds 25 pus. Buy best you well ever need or own . Hal

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jarod from I love my Columbia Jackets I had 3 very capable men helping me with my order. I originally ordered an XXL jacket. It was a little big on me. We had a small window of time to get these jackets for our trip up to Washington and Canada. I ordered the XL jacket and it fit perfectly. Then my partner wanted one of these jackets so I ordered a L for him which fit perfectly. The 3 men who helped me were very professional and helpful In every way. They helped in getting these jackets to me in time to fly to our destination. I was so grateful for their help. Thank you so much. I have plans for the XXL, so I won't be returning it. Thanks for being so helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JolyMon from Versatile This jacket is extremely versatile, light weight, warm and comfortable. You can wear as an outer jacket or layer under a shell. It runs a bit small but that works out as I also wear under my Ski Patrol shell. The only minor issue are in the pockets. They are cut straight and if not zipped things fall out when you sit in a car. Wish there was a chest pocket but again this is a minor issue. Love it so far!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Krissrock from Not good as you approach freezing temps I had been eyeing this jacket in a Dick's for a while, and was waiting for a good sale. Kudo's to Columbia for providing that sale...however, the jacket in the store seemed to be thicker than what was sent to me directly from Columbia. This jacket is extremely thin to be a winter coat and that's discernable from the pictures. It's good at blocking wind, but not stopping the cold. The closer you get to freezing and below, the less effective this jacket is. You're gonna have to throw a sweatshirt on or something under this jacket to survive
