Men’s Platinum Plus 740 TurboDown™ Hooded Jacket is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Great I haven't exactly field tested it yet, but early returns are good. My fiance bought me a Patagonia puffy last year and she thinks this one looks better. I'm looking forward to come cooler weather so I can test out the warmth of the jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for the cold This product is great. I needed a lighter, but warm coat during the less intense days of the Chicago winter. It's been great. It's lightweight and you can easily fold it up to put it in a bag if need be. The length is great, but it does run a little big around the mid-section, which I'm sure will be fine if you're layering - I just happen to be wearing it at the tail-end of the winter where it doesn't require as many layers. All in all, a fantastic product. I usually go with Columbia for winter jackets, and this one satisfies. I will continue to buy winter coats from Columbia.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trifecta - warm, stylish and fit for the mountains This is my second Columbia jacket. I needed one with a hood and this one is perfect. The hood fits well but still provides a lateral view. It is light weight enough to carry in the woods and mountains.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Construction I pulled the coat out of the bag and feathers flew out. My bad for not inspecting at that time, but I was so excited to get it. Feathers kept showing up, so I finally did an inspection and the right arm pit was never sealed. I couldn't be more disappointed. I never spent that much on a coat!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ripped very easily I got this as a gift for my husband, the jacket as it says in the description does keep you very warm and toasty but the material out side is very poorly made, after just a week and a half of wearing it, it ripped from the sleeve and the stuff inside the jacket came out. Very sad because I wanted to buy the llbean brand but my husband loves the Columbia brand so wasted money on this jacket.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too big The shoulders fit well, but I think this may be a maternity jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Quality Coat....WAARRMMM!! Don't be deceived when you unpackage this coat. It's very lightweight and feels like you could tear it in half...except you can't, because its amazingly durable. It's a lightweight heat trap that keeps cold out and hugs your body just right. Was worn in temp's below 10* F and did it's job 100%. Buy the coat, folks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great everyday jacket I did a review on the voodoo falls 590 jacket and it is a great mid-layer but i wonted a more of a thicker insulated everyday jacket that was lightweight...Blackfriday 2016 this 740 turbodown jacket was on sale..so i got it in my opinion its almost the perfect everyday jacket. its very lightweight jacket for being 700 goose down.. As for the shell i think its great for everyday but i dont know if it would hold up if you had a heavy backpack on it lug it around ...it is water resistant so i do recommend keeping a lightweight raincoat or a waterproof shell in your truck .just in case its starts to sleeting ...drizzling snow..misting ....the 700 down is perfect for fall ...and winter temps from 55 thru 45 temps you could wear a t shirt or a sweatshirt ..[depends on the person ]] then layer up for more warmth i personal have worn this jacket in 40-35 temps with no problem but remember as long you are active you going to be warm the moment you stop you can start to fill the cold temps but start moving again and that goes away ... as for the fit of the jacket now this is going to very different from person to person this jacket is regular cut so its not going to be body shaping or hugging your body its going to be kinda lose so you can layer ..now some will say it looks like you are wearing a trash bag but i dont think you do at all ... i think columbia hit it out of the park with this jacket i highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great everyday jacket to wear

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super light weight Super light weight jacket. The ripstop material feels very thin but it's very tough as long as you're not doing something you know will rip it. I'm out in San Francisco and the weather constantly changes through out the day. Always cold and windy. The omniheat insulation does the job well. However, it only keeps you warm if you're active. If you're just standing around, you will get a little cold as your body isn't producing any heat to reflect. The description says it has an adjustable hood but that's not true, it doesn't. Overall, I love the jacket.
