Rated 4 out of 5 by avadores92 from Great performance! I bought this product last year, and until today, it still at the great performance. I love how this jacket protect me when the rains coming down, also it keeps me warm at some point. I quite often go hiking and this jacket always help protect me from the bad weather up in the mountain. I also wear this jacket for everyday-use, it's warm me up when the weather is cold and reduce heat when the weather is hot with it's pit zip and breathable material. I do recommend this product for you who love to hike and who is hate to get wet when rains coming down. Thank you.

Rated 2 out of 5 by lbwilliams from Will not keep you dry This coat is not waterproof, it kept me dry for about an hour, and then I was soaked and freezing deep in the woods of Skamania. However, it fits great and the Omni-heat works very well. And even with as little layers I had on, still kept me warm when wet which is really nice. 18 hours into my adventure it got snagged on a branch I ripped a hole on the back of it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RalphieBoyo from Fits on the slim side I like the jacket a lot, even though it's a bit snug with another layer underneath it. I consider it a "slim." The hood and it's "controls" is excellent. No rain yet here in the North Country of Montana, but the jacket handles the wind well. Pockets are deep and well-placed. I really like the brightness of the green color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chris11 from Best of the best Doesn't get any better. I've worn this in consistent moderate to heavy rainfall for over an hour at times. It's waterproof. Rain will not get through it. Surprisingly warm coat, too. I figured it would resist rain but be a little cold. It does a very good job of keeping me warm. Resists wind very well. I won't claim it is windproof, but it comes very close. It resists strong gusts well. Whenever I go into the Columbia store here in Portland, the employees compliment me on my jacket, because they own one too. The employees are choosing this jacket over others. Overall, the best shell jacket available. Used as a shell with a baselayer and an insulation layer of fleece, you'll be protected from everything winter can throw at you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bernie45 from Excellent jacket for the price. This jacket surprised me, I know the Columbia name, but they outdid themselves with this jacket. Does everything it says it will and then some. It's fashionable yet durable and user friendly as well. Thank you for a great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by ieenie from all purpose 3 season jacket I bought this jacket for general wearing to/from work on the typical NW fall/winter/spring days. With the Omni heat, it give you some additional warmth without the bulk of having to wear an additional layer underneath. The jacket also works well on the trails, keeping the rain out and the warmth in. Works especially well when worn over a down jacket/shirt when you finally reach the summit. The only reason I gave this 4/5 stars for quality was because I just got it, so I really haven't had a chance to see how well the quality of the jacket is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RickH from Keeps you warm and dry and looks great too My only complaint is that I couldn't get the color or size I really wanted. But, the jacket I got is only a little bit large which is ok because it fits loose so I can wear a sweatshirt under it. I used it during a recent snow fall while out running my snow blower. It kept me warm and dry. And my wife likes the gray color I got. So, it's all good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by coolmomshipper from School Bus Rider My son rides the school bus every day to school and he has to walk several block to and from the stop and as a teenage boy fashion is on his mind. He did not want a normal rain slicker. Needed something that kept him dry, was not bulky but he could wear a sweatshirt under and fit easy in the side pouch of his backpack. This jacket fit the requirement. His friends all want one now. Thank you - Cool Mom Shopper

Rated 4 out of 5 by AvidFlyFisher from Men's Rain Tech™ II Jacket The jacket is lite yet keeps you warm in cool weather. The outer shell is a little lighter than I expected which tends to let high winds pass through. The Omni-Heat material works as stated. Overall the jacket’s performance in rain and early fall weather is excellent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Keeps you dry I just went hiking all morning in the rain with this thing and it kept me dry. I am 5'10" and weigh 160. I bought a medium so that I could wear other layers beneath the coat, and it's perfect. I can comfortably wear my soft shell, a sweater, or a hoodie under it. This jacket does provide a little warmth with the Omni-heat feature, so something to keep in mind. I recommend this jacket for use in cool, wet places. The arm-pit vents are nice for when you're doing something active. You can adjust how far the hood goes down over your forehead and how tight the sleves are with Velcro straps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by omfgnameparameters from nice jacket! Bought this for late November/early spring trip to Ireland. I am 190lbs and 5'10, large fit perfect with room to layer a Grid/Fleece under it. Haven't worn it in the rain yet so can't say how well it waterproofs; will update later.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JKJ55 from Men's Rain Tech II Jacket I purchased the Rain Tech II Jacket in anticipation of needing it on a future trip to Alaska. I wanted a lightweight rain jacket, with a hood, that would also provide some warmth. This jacket meets all of those criteria and it is also a great looking jacket. I really like the Omni-Heat feature and the available color combinations. I normally wear a large size but needed an XL because I wanted some room to wear a sweatshirt underneath.

Rated 4 out of 5 by lastoneover from Husband chose this over another jacket I bought this coat for my husband for Christmas, along with another, since I wasn't sure which he would like. We ended up returning the other one (a Mt hardwear rainjacket) because he liked the quality and warmth of this one. At this point, it's still early, haven't gotten much use of it, but he and I are both happy with how it fits--he's 185, 5'7", stockier guy, and the large fits him well. The color we got, green/brown is nice, too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tetra4444 from Men's Rain Tech II Jacket I like the waterproof of my jacket in the rain with waterproof zippers and the warmth inside too. Jacket has a few pocket with one with inner earbuds hole in the middle left of the chest to keep the rain off of my earbuds, underarm venting and adjustable rain storm but there's no way to attach it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JB69 from Excellent rain jacket for rainy Vancouver Had this for the last couple of years, borrowed it to my brother who liked it so I let him have it. Bought another one when it started to turn rainy. Great rain jacket. Only problem is I ordered online and got sent a different colour than I asked for. I selected "Gravel" and the jacket I got is dark green (that's not even one of the available colours listed!). Hmm...

Rated 5 out of 5 by jimgon from Perfect rain jacket! On a recent hike up to Mt. St. Helens, in the pouring rain and howling wind, this jacket performed flawlessly. Not only did I stay nice and dry, I was also toasty warm. This jacket is perfect as my everyday jacket walking around the soggy northwest this fall and winter. I highly recommend this product! Now I need to pick out my snowboarding jacket :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by RobtheRunner456 from Great Rain Jacket! Superb rain jacket that is both warm but well ventilated at the same time. Love the hood, collar, pit-zips, velcro sleeves, pockets, and definitely the color (green).

Rated 5 out of 5 by BDR549 from Rain Tech II Jacket This is the perfect rain jacket for temperatures above 40 degrees. The Omni Heat technology works great. Lots of zipper pockets and the hood works great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lockit from Superb Rain Jacket I bought this rain jacket for the constant northwest rains. I wanted to use it as a coat to go over my clothes while walking around town, hikes, and to just stay dry. Not only does it do the job but the Omni-Heat makes an excellent addition. It is packable in a larger backpack, as it is a little stiffer than other Columbia shells, and fits true to size. If you are going for the Abyss Texture Color, note that the jacket mainly green, it looks like blue in the picture on the website.
