Rated 2 out of 5 by IGoByWalk from Not waterproof Stitching and material on both my shoes wore out in less than two seasons. Disappointed (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 2 out of 5 by Girish from Not water proof as advertised The shoe is not water proof as advertised. Feet and socks get wet even while walking in light showers. Will not recommend for any outdoor activities and not a value for money buy. Could have been a good investment if the shoe was water proof as advertised but sadly money wasted. Rated 5 out of 5 by David1127 from Columbia quality you can count on Super light shoes that wont tire you on long walks. The shoes are a narrow cut so I would suggest you up 1/2 a size to compensate. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by Fonfon from Waterproof Prefect fix (Size 8). Very confortable! It took me a full day of walking in wet grass to go through the waterproofing. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 1 out of 5 by Brass from More waterproof than a sandal, barely I purchased these to hike on casual trails and for light off trail walks. For my type of use, waterproofing was needed and is the reason why I choose this shoe. Unfortunately, these just don't deliver. They claim to be waterproof but water barely slows down as it passes through them. They are only just barely better than open toe sandals. My feet were soaked within a few hundred meters of walking through grass covered in morning due. Don't buy if you need any amount of waterproofing.

These fit true to size, have good cushioning for both at work on concrete floors & hiking on the trails, are waterproof & very well built. Highly recommend. Rated 5 out of 5 by Paulie54 from Lightweight & Waterproof Purchased a pair in Brown/Yellow and later 2 in Charcoal/Red for my boss. They served me well in South Africa while bow hunting. Only complaint is fit is tight with thick socks. They aren't as cool in hot weather as I'd like, but I find the comfort/fit outweighs that.

Rated 2 out of 5 by mfadventour from Waterproof? Waterproof is a misleading claim. In light rain or walking through wet grass these boots will keep your dry but should you actually step in water forget it. Your feet will be soaked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by megasmacky from Is This The New North Plains? I just bought a pair of these because they look like the successor to the North Plains hiker. They were, quite simply, the best boots I've ever owned and at 52 I've owned a lot. I am 6'6" 285lbs and walk 4 miles each way to work every day. To say I'm tough on footwear is a gross understatement. Typically a pair of hikers or walking shoes last 3-4 months before they are beaten to a pulp and ready for the garbage. The North Plains lasted just over 15 months including the past two historically brutal winters. I was, and am, astonished. I'm betting these boots will give me the same service.
