Great Pockets
My Dad is 86 and frequently has things falling out of his pockets. I had bought him a pair of the ROC style Columbia pants this past spring and he loved them. I tried to get another pair this fall and couldn't find them anywhere due to his size 44 x 32. I finally found them online and ordered them. I didn't ask for rush shipping and they arrived in 2 days by courier. Very easy and the exact product I was looking for

Updated cell phone pocket
I have two pairs of these in the older version. The pair I just bought have a slightly larger cell phone pocket on the leg which now allows for my Verizon Droid X2 to fit. This is a nice change as the phone would not fit into the older version. These pants are a solid choice.

Love these pants
I love these pants like women love purses. However 2 of the 5 I purchased had a minor issue. The right thigh gear/tool pocket that I use to hold my cellphone was stitched wrong, the pen pocket was made too large and the adjacent pocket was then too small. I simply removed the stitching as I don't carry pens. So these pants are great. I wear them all the time everywhere, beach, church, yardwork, hiking, whatever. Also these pants are better in my opinion than the ultimate ROC pants, as the security (zipper) pocket is easily accessible. My only suggestion would be to make it so that a style was offered with the security and gear/tool pocket reversed for those that are left handed. Also, would love to see the pant offered in an olive tone and a dark reddish brown clay color. (like a morrocan red clay color) Love these pants, please never discontinue this style.

ROC Chino Waist Snap
I love ROC Chinos except for the waist snap. The pants are rugged and will endure many wash/dry cycles, but if dried hard repeatedly, the waist becomes snug. If these pants had a button waist instead of a snap, they would not pop open to easy.

My husband is hard to please and we found your pants at a store and he loved them. I had no idea to get more and went into your website. I was very glad to see that they were there. The pants fit my husband great and he has never been happier. He is a tall, big man. Thanks

Roc pants rock
I bought the original and the ultimate rock pants for daily work wear and the original is my favorite being a blue jean person they are heavier than the ultimates and you still have all the same benefits without the annoying button on the ultimates.

I have purchased 6 pairs of Men's ROC Pants and love the fit and compfort. They are my favorite for work and casual. I only wish that they came in a larger selection of darker colors. All the ones I have are light.

Men's ROC Pant
Purchased a couple of pair of these pants, so far they are very lightweight and comfortable. Material does seem a little thin but that adds to the light weight and comfort. I've previously owned pants and shorts from Columbia and they were made of much heavier weight material. Time will tell how Rugged these pants will be and how they hold up.

I have purchased this product before and have always been satisfied with the quality and workmanship. Very durable as well. It seems these new ones run a little small as compared to the past. I had to return and reorder, but the next ones fit great.

Own Several Pair
I have purchased several pairs of these over the last couple of years. I still have them all. They wear very well and last a long time.
They do fit a little loose in the rear.
But all in all they are great and I am very happy with them. I just bought 3 more pair in case they quit making them.
They look good for casual or press a crease in them for business casual.

Columbia ROC pants
Although my husband has several pairs of Columbia pants these did not fit through the waist and I have returned for credit. I probably will not order on line again as I paid shipping for the product to me and then double shipping to return.

Great Pants
I own about 5 pairs of these. They are great except for the snap closure. They need a button. The snap comes undone with just a little pressure. The same thing has happened to a friend that is thin as well so I know it is just not me. Put a button on them and they would be perfect!

Baggy in the butt
These pants fit well in the waist but they are very baggy in the butt. They seem to be sized for overweight people. I'd really like it if you would make pants for normal weight people.

Great pants for every guy
Indoor or outside, these pants are great. I use them for winters in Georgia (I know not that cold, but we did have snow twice this year) for around the house, on the golf course, and just about everything else. Lots of pocket space with soft durable fabric.

Beware - Length inconsistency!
I love these pants except for one important detail... the length is inconsistent. Here is a picture of two 38x30 pants side by side. One is a good 5 inches longer in length while the rest of the fit is the same. Returning these and will now only shop in store (if I ever visit one again since they are not conveniently located to me) so I don't take a chance on having to return these on my own dime again. If the sizing was consistent, this would be a 5 star pant. Unfortunately, since you can't count on the size being correct, it only gets 1 star.

Great pants but could be better
So as you may have read further down these pants really are nice but not great. If Columbia could do just a couple tweaks these would be the perfect pant. The first one is add belt loops closer to the zipper and snap. They are spread out a little to far. The crotch on mine seams to blow out to fast. These pants stretch like crazy. I had to go down a size and wait for them to stretch out while adjusting my belt the whole day as the waist stretches and eventually becomes saggy in the butt. Get rid of the snap and make it a button and loop. I'm a big guy and every time I lean over to pick something up the snap comes undone. As I said in the beginning, Columbia is so close to making a great pant they just need a few tweaks.

ROC - poor fit
I have purchased about 10 pairs of Columbia pants and have always loved them. However, I recently purchased the ROC pants, and the fit was horrendous! I ordered a 32" waist, which I always do, and the fit was about 2" too small. I had also ordered the Lander Trail pants at the same time, also 32", and those fit great as usual. I'm extremely disappointed in the ROC pants

Stiff Material
The sunblock treatment makes the normally soft canvas stiff. I have other similar Columbia pants, and they are not as stiff. Washing does not soften them. Otherwise, great pants.

Sizing Off
I ordered 33" waist pants and what I recieved was no where near correct. I measured the waist and it is 31". If the sizing was right then these pants would be great. Quality control needs to be improved. I also ordered the Lander pants, and they are much nicer overall and sized correctly.

Darn good pants
Really great all-purpose pants, -- this my second pair. They perhaps look a little more durable than they are, based on my experience with my first pair -- but they got tons of wear. And the first pair is still well-loved with its frays and a couple of tiny holes. I also have the Lander pants and prefer the Lander just a wee bit more. But overall, can't go wrong with this perfect on-the-fence hybrid of hiking-camping work-casual pants.

Very Durable
I bought my husband two pairs of this style pants. He wore them for over two years five days a week. He is employed as a plain clothed police officer and wears a duty belt. The durablity of these pants is unbelievable! It took two years before he had wear marks from his gun...I will definately be buying more of these. He not only loves the comfort but also loves the style. A in our book!

AWESOME!!!
The best pant ever. I am required to wear casual pants at work and these are awesome. The pockets are perfect, the granite cloth is durable an easy to care for, repels stains and metal cuts, the colors work well with anything, the fit is perfect. I threw away my jeans and I wear these everyday all day for work and play. No other pant can be this versitile and comfortable.

A real work horse
I work in construction, and these ROC pants hold up great. Have several pairs and none of them have worn out, torn, etc. in the 2 years I've had them. They hold up to their size and shape after repeated washings. They tend to shrink a bit when I put them in the dryer, but regain their shape after the next washing. I usually line-dry them and they hold their shape wonderfully.

Dry Clean, don't wash
I love these pants as I have several pair. They fit and wear well however I do have one nit. I usually dry clean them as I like that pressed look however the other day I needed a pair faster than I could get them from the dry cleaner and washed them according to the directions. I was quite disappointed when I took them out of the dryer (cold water, gentle cycle, lowest dryer setting). They had shrunk close to an inch in length. Needless to say I could no longer wear them. I might consider buying a pair longer than I need so I can wash them instead of using the dry cleaners to save some money. I am still torn about this as other pants like dockers to not seem to shrink, or if they do, not by this much. So watch out what size you get if you plan to wash them. I would have given them a 5 star rating if it were not for the shrinkage.

disappointment
I don't know how this pair will last, but my grandson bought his first pair himself and the seams in the zipper area started coming apart in two to three weeks and not only that they wore between the thighs. He loved the pants and was very disappointed. I had bought the ones I did before he realized what was happening to his first pair. He and I bought them for him to take to Japan when he went on a mission trip. He is there now taking the second pair with him and leaving the first pair home.

Roc Pants
I love these pants; as a matter of fact, I'm wearing them right now. I'm an older person, and I don't do mountaineering or anything very "rugged", but I do work in the garden and I teach "bonsai", and sometimes go out to dig trees in nature. I find these pants comfortable, strong, water resistant, and perfect for my purposes. Theyf are also attractive, in my view.
