Rated 4 out of 5 by CMK50 from Very good pant A really good pant for everyday use. I gave it an overall 4-star rating. If the pant had the same elastic in the waist band as the fabric and one zippered rear pocket, then a 5-star!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Leeh from comfortable pant This is a comfortable pant though it does run a tad small. I was somewhat surprised with the pocket inset to the leg seam, though it seems that a zipper is there on the pictures.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rob1970 from Great Pant for Weekends and Outdoors Great fabric and great for weekends outside. Fabric is a somewhat thin but still provides protection against the wind and elements. Not a winter or cold temperature pant. Great for spring, summer, and early fall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FitnessWalker from Nice for Summer These are nice trail pants for warm weather. They can be used in cold weather if sweats are worn underneath. The Tusk color looks nice, and it fits the look of my hiking outfit. Water resistance is an added bonus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Crazylegs5150 from Perfect hiking pants for rainy weather I came across these Royce Peak I pants at a Columbia Outlet Store while looking for clothes for an upcoming trip to Iceland. I don't usually review things but these were worth the time to do so. Extremely flexible to allow freedom of movement and a slim fit which I've come to appreciate as I've gotten older in life. Made of liquid resistant material these pants held up very nicely to the horrendous Iceland wind and rain I was enduring but it should be noted that they are not waterproof alone. I did have to wear rain pants over these and thermals underneath to stay substantially warm in the wet environment. I've come to love these pants so much that I tried to look for more when I got back only to find them very hard to come by in my sizes. Low and behold Columbia had a website sale and found these hard to find pants onsale for 50% off! I jumped on it. It appears they are discontinuing them for the mark 2 version. I love these pants so much they've come to be part of my medical field attire allowing me to look professional and yet stay comfortable instead of having to wear scrubs everyday.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kunshi from Fits like a glove These pants fit true to size, color does not fade, and allows for a little extra room if needed because they stretch. My husband loves these pants, he has three pairs and rotates wearing them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AJMorris343 from My favorite pants. I'm very pleased with these pants. So much so, I ordered one in every color. They're very comfortable and sturdy to stand up to abrasions and the like. I use them on a daily basis, hiking, fishing, riding my bike or just out and around in Kodiak, Alaska. They're a little more athletically cut (they fit closer) than your standard pants but not so close as to be like skinny jeans. The material is a bit stretchy so it doesn't restrict movement. They're articulated too which helps. They are also a bit thicker which is great for cooler weather. So far they've handled everything I've thrown at them without any sign of wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by outdooradventuresgurl from Great comfortable hiking pants that my husband loves These are another great pair of pants from Columbia. They are decently thick and well made. My husband loves the fit and how these stretch so they don't seem restrictive. They are great for hiking, camping, backpacking and all your outdoor activities thanks to the stretchy material. Love that they come in different size inseams as well. They do seem to run a tad tight so if you are in between sizes make sure to order up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by vetit from excellent travel pants I wear these pants for travel. I have worn them for ski vacations in U.S. and Europe. They are windproof and slightly heavier material than travel pants made of very thin nylon. They keep me warm when outside but are not hot indoors. They have a dressy look in the black or gray color. They pack well and don't wrinkle like the thin nylon pants do. The stain resistance is great. I packed 2 pair for a 14 day vacation but I could of worn one pair and still looked good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by davidcitizen from Stretch = Comfort and Function I LOVE the stretch in these pants! I had a different pair some years ago from Columbia, and these are just as great. The stretch means no binding in deep squats like working on carpentry, gardening, etc. Just the right weight for Oregon weather year round (with long johns in the winter.) Love the cut and most esp the function and comfort. Buying more in another color today.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sig22 from Royce Peak Pants Found these pants at a discounted price that were so low I am prohibited from publicly discussing; but I will however say the Royce Peak pants are very comfortable and wear very well! I not only wear them for casual and work purposes, but also find them unusually comfortable for wear at the shooting range. Since I wear a thigh level holster rig for right- handed draw, the right side zippered pocket is blocked and unusable, but Ive found the two rear and left side pockets more than accessible and useful for storing and retrieving various items at the ready. The size 38 waist fits true to size for me as does my 32 inseam- just right. The best part about these pants are the articulated knees and stretch fabric material- unparalleled mobility and flex range during kneeling or squat position shooting- unbeatable; even compared to other “tactical” purpose-made pants that rhyme with “7-11”.. I mate these brown pants with either my light blue Columbia Omni Shade LS Hiking shirt for warm sunny days, or my vintage Black/ silver Columbia Titanium Fleece Jacket liner for cool weather range nights. Highly recommend these for other shooting sports enthusiasts. PB former Police Officer East Los Angeles, CA

Rated 4 out of 5 by Columbialifetimelover from Sleek look pants This is one of my husband's favorite pants from Columbia. He wears this anywhere. I bought several pants for him on Columbia, Exoffiicio, and some other store brands like REI. Among them he likes this so much. He is mid chubby with 6 ft height. Heavy guys usually have thin legs, and this pair of pants is designed well on taping down to lower legs. Two color choices of Grill & Peatmoss are only his. More color options are ideal like black, dark navy, charcoal, dark brown, or light gray. Also the fabric is a little thicker than usual camping pants, which it is even more attracting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by STPrunner from All-purpose pants! Waist was a little snug, and usually a 32" is just right for me. Length at 34" was perfect though. Love the material and these pants can literally be used in about any application. Hiking, biking, strolling to the coffee shop, or even dressed up a bit for work. Love 'em. Now I just need to buy all the colors!

Rated 5 out of 5 by ArnieLeyho from Not just for outdoor activities but everyday life. I started of with 1 pair and instantly fell in love the second I jumped into them. I now own a total of 5 pairs! For anyone who has worn or wear pants now that restricts them from reaching full range of motion and can't find the right pair that doesn't do that. Look no more! These pants are made of lightweight, stretchy, and durable material. As an avid hiker and an individual who workouts, it can be difficult for me to find a pant that fits my thighs and hips properly. Not anymore. I can easily slip in these and look like I'm wearing tailored pants. I've walked, hiked, ran, even performed powerlifting moves in these and had absolutely no issues with movement restrictions! With the 5 pairs that I own, I haven't found anything negative about this product. I highly recommend this pant!

Rated 5 out of 5 by dave12 from Comfortable/Versatile Pant This pants are very comfortable and easy to wear for hiking and also as business casual. Good to travel with because fabric packs well, is lightweight, and dries quickly. Own several in different colors and now prefer these over jeans. They do run a tad small and had to go up one size for a comfortable waist.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Doogie from mesh pockets an issue I love everything about these pants--except the mesh pockets. As another reviewer said, the front pockets turn inside out when you take something out of them, spilling the rest of the contents on the ground. But worse for me is that the the stitching on the right rear pocket has failed multiple times. As a golfer, I had to stop putting a ball in that pocket, yet even then some of the the stitching failed with a scorecard in the pocket. The company has been good about replacing the pants, but even some replacement pockets failed. I love all the other features, but I'm going to have to switch to a model without mesh pockets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JMichael from Almost a Perfect Pant I've owned this pant for almost 2 years now. Sizing first: In almost every pant (from different companies) I usually fall at a 31" waist. Only problem is that half sizes aren't real common, so I usually have to decide between a 30 or 32 waist. My waist measures at roughly 32.5" to 33". The 32 waist in this pant fits me just about perfect. People are saying these pants run small. I'd say they run almost exactly right. Reason being, companies very rarely size their pants to actual waist measurements to make you feel better about your waist line. Compared to other companies sizing, this pant may "run small". Compared to ACTUAL size of your waist, this pant is about dead on. Performance: I love everything about these pants except for the breathability, which is a deal breaker for me. I run really hot when I start moving around, so these have proven to be too warm to hike around in unless temperatures are very cool. Unfortunately, when temps in the PNW start to dip, it almost always means a lot of moisture is coming, so I'm usually switching to a pair of waterproof pants instead. Summary: Overall, I really like these pants and wish I got more use out of them. The material is great, super comfortable. I love how they fit, especially the cut. It's the best Columbia pant in my opinion as far as fit goes. I just wish they were much more breathable than they are. For that reason, I'd recommend them as a great pant for casual use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Brocksley from Bought for hiking/fishing in Alaska summer I am 6'1" 175 lbs and normally wear a 32w 34l in any other pair of pants I own. I bought these in the same size and the waist was way too small. Everything else fit perfectly though. I returned them and bought 34w and the waist fit perfectly, but the thighs and legs were now too big. I stuck with the 34w because the 32w was just too tight. So order up a waist size, but you'll have baggier fit pants. The pants were great other wise. They repelled water and dried quickly hiking through rain and by waterfalls. The stretchy fabric was great. The mesh pockets would come inside out anytime I'd take something out of them. The inside waist is lined in a super soft fabric, and the pants are overall very comfortable. Only real complaint is the bagginess of the legs once I found the waist that fit. I hope they make the sizing better and slimmer legs on the next version of these pants or one similar, as I'd really like to get more of them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MGSammy from OK for camping/hiking I bought there for late Spring camping in the South. They don't breathe as well as I'd hoped, and they snag on briars. The knee bends are a nice touch, but they seemed too low to be as comfortable as intended (I'm 5'8"). The bottom of the back pocket completely failed after one week in the woods.

Rated 4 out of 5 by furfener from Awesome quality, but not flattering to a woman I bought these because I have a straight waist for a gal, and although I love the quality, I returned them. Right at the gusset point on the inner thigh, a weird wrinkle forms across the front of the thigh that was unflattering for me. My husband loves them for work and play.
