Men's Silcox Six Omni-Heat Boot is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Subpar Heating I live in northern Japan and was looking foward to Columbia's Silcox Six Omni-Heat Boots. The boots themselves fit true to size and look sharp. The inner lining is extremely thin and does not retain any heat. As soon as I step outside, my feet turn cold and remain cold until I enter some sort of shelter/building. The sole of the boot is also extremely uncomfortable when you wear them for anything other than quick errands (less than 30 min). When walking around in slushy areas/shoveling/hiking/etc...your boots will stay dry. The weather is the same as in the U.S. so this isn't an extreme weather condition comparison. Columbia should focus on thicker insulation and test their boots more in variable conditions to ensure they insulate the way the product advertises.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great For The Winter Blues I love the shoes since the first time I put them on. Size of shoe was perfect and even had enough room for double socks. During this past winter storm the shoes kept my toes warm and when I had to get in the snow I was very confident and not afraid to get swamp with snow because the shoes protected me from snow coming inside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I purchased these for my husband who cleans snow from driveways for several of our neighbors. The first time he wore them he was extremely happy with the warmth and comfort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Silcox Six Omni Threw the years I have owned two winter boots from Columbia. There were Minocqua Pac, and the Winter Trek. I wanted again to buy a winter hiking boot and purchase the Silcox Six Omni. I'm very please with the construction and fit of this boot. It will do what I want for fall and winter weather in Montana.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I work outside. I work on a golf course and contend with daybreak conditions daily. That typically means walking in dew covered grass until the sun burns it off. It also means waterproof is essential not just water resistant, otherwise you end up with soaking wet feet. Leather just doesn't cut it over the long run. I was looking for a lower cut boot with enough rubber to provide such waterproofing much like the bugaboot and this is it. The resulting comfort I've experienced is much more than anticipated. Light weight and flexible sole makes all the difference when wearing these on a daily basis like I do. Of course this boot will be too hot for summer time, however, fall, winter, spring it's perfect. Very nice comfort, true fit, waterproof, and warm. I wear them for work everyday in the colder seasons. Comfortable boots and shoes for golf course workers is very hard to find. Now if they just make a similar shoe for summer time!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic!! Just the kind of winter shoes I was looking for. There was a ton of snow this year and these shoes kept my feet warm and dry in spite of having to dig my feet into 2 feet of snow piled on sidewalks. Snow on pavements used to be a nuisance earlier. No more! I do not mind the cold weather. Now even the snow does not bother me! Thanks Columbia. Thanks MA-Boyle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This shoe does exactly what it was made for ! Have worn them several times now in upper 30 to 40's F. , and they have kept my foot warm , not hot and sweaty . Haven't had a chance to wear in rain , but will be in the Pacific Northwest for a week with them and will find out .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast delivery, and great looking! This was one of the fastest deliveries I had. I bought one pair for my dad, and one pair for my mom. The shoes feel and look much nicer than what the pictures looked. I haven't used them myself, but I am sure my parents will love these solid and warm boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "You can't beat warm feet" Trudging through the snow and ice in Buffalo, N.Y. as a route salesman your feet need to be warm and these boots don't disappoint..At one point I thought the heater in my truck was blowing on my feet they were so warm but infact my heater knob was turned on to the "window" setting....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good on environment with snow I have to say that I expected to be uncomfortable as I'm not used to use this kind of shoes, however, I found them very comfy. I bought these for a trip I made to the Alps and I needed something which keep my feet away from snow and cold and these boots did this job great as my feet didn't suffer from any of these conditions. After walking on the streets and in the snow they still look in very good conditions. I expect them to be with me for long time on future trips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice boots I wore these boots around the house for about a half hour the first day I got them. The next day I took them on a 5 mile walk on a trail that had rutted ice beneath freshly fallen snow. My feet stayed warm dry and comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoes if you don't need heavy socks. Sole is heavy enough to eliminate pressure on my foot. I walk a lot, probably 250 days per year, and a "soft" sole is a problem for me --- it makes my foot ache in the morning. That problem disappeared with these shoes. But I can't wear them with heavy socks --- not enough room! Shame they aren't available in a wide width --- I would buy another pair for winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun Special Function Boot I bought this boot for rainy day walks and slushy slogs up in ski country. The rubber toe reminds me of ugly dogs like pugs or bulldogs, which I like in a weird sort of way (just gotta be a little different, you know). People say the boot is warm, but it's not as hot as my Columbia Ski Parka with Omni Heat. That thing is warm! What I do notice is my toes get a bit damp because the shoe with its ugly dog rubber toe does not breathe so well up front. Luckily, I have enough pairs of boots, so I rarely wear one pair more than one day at a time. The boots are certainly sturdy, well-made and a great value. I like the thick and comfy soles and the way my feet are cradled in the footbed once the boots are lashed on. They are certainly easy enough to get in and out of, though I use a shoe horn because I am concerned the Omni-heat foil material may tear. I intend to get many years of good service from them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My husband loves these shoes! Bought these to replace an old pair of Columbia boots for my husband. He loved them from the moment he put them on. The fit is great on his size 13 feet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice boot Although this boot feels a little roomy in both length and width, I'm hoping that a heavy sock in winter will do the job. It's light weight and not quite as bulky as some of the typical waterproof heavy duty boots.
