Men's Silver Ridge™ Cargo Pant is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 231.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love these pants Really like this line of pants from Columbia. I have 10 or so pairs in a variety of colors. The heat here in Charleston SC is sweltering in the summertime but I don't want to wear shorts as I am on the water 125-150 days a year so skin cancer is a big concern for me. These pants help with that problem but don't keep me sweating too much in the process. I have only 2 issues with these pants: 1. The belt on this new pair of pants seems to be a little different material than my others and it tends to slip more so it doesn't stay put to well. 2. On ALL of my Columbia pants after about 2 years I end up ripping the crotch of the pants because I am bending down a lot or just actively moving around the boat and this seems to be a weak spot. Maybe if there were just a small triangle of stretch material or something since this is a high stress area maybe they would last a little longer?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb Travel Pant Great fit, comfortable, lots of pockets, light and washes so easily on the road! Took a couple of pair to Egypt for three weeks; just about all the pants I needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A bit too generous in the leg length Purchased the 32 x 30 size and had to shorten the legs by about 1.5 inches. I like them over my shoes, but not dragging on the ground. Otherwise very satisfactory for hot weather wear. Plenty of pockets, plenty of security for the pockets. Totally comfortable for strenuous hiking or hot weather activity.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless Zipper -- snags and breaks This is a potentially decent pair of pants with a fatal flaw. The cheap zipper on the left leg is USELESS. If you try to reach down and pull it closed with your left hand, it pulls the lightweight pants forward, but does NOT close the zipper. If you try to reach down with both hands to close it, it can be done IF you are VERY slow and careful. If not, the zipper snags so badly that when you take off the pants and try to unsnag the zipper, it breaks, making it useless. Unfortunately, I did not discover this until I had washed the pants, so supposedly I cannot return them. Interestingly, the cheaper version of these pants that Columbia sells at its outlet stores use Velcro, not a zipper here, so they do not have this problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Husbands favorite My husband has about 10 pairs of Silveridge pants. They never wear out! These new gray ones are a bit more up to date in style. They are a perfect fit, and are so comfortable he wears this product exclusively. The Silveridge shorts are the only variation in his wardrobe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One pair fit and one did not fit Bought 2 pair of the same size. One fit great, and the other was way too tight at the waist. Of course, I sent the smaller one back. So far so good on the one which fits. Soft material and very comfortable. Length was good on both.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pant Amazing pant for hiking
Date published: 2017-11-12
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable hiking pants I ordered these pants with the idea to keep them in my vehicle for a backup pair of pants, just Incase. I wore them around for a few days and my first impressions were that the pants were a lot thinner than i expected. They are almost wind breaker style pants. But i must say they are extremely comfortable and the stretch around the waistband was just an added extra. The belt that’s included is a nice feature as well. Stitching on the pants was excellent and it seems like quality material with rip stop. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great active wear pants Bought a pair of these pants for fall golf outings. They turned out to be the perfect golf attire! They’re lightweight, durable, and stylish on the course. I love all the pockets for storing knickknacks. The pants are so great, I ordered two additional pair. I would definitely recommend for active gents who enjoy great style!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are the ones If you're looking for functional, light-weight pants that can be worn in many situations and look good after days of travel, these are the ones. We just ordered my husband's third pair. He wore them hiking in Slovakia, and to the opera in Vienna. They repel stains, they hold stuff for travel, and they pack easily. Wish they had more colors. Like black, and navy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ridge Cargo Pants These cargo pants are by far the best pants I have ever had. I really like the material and the appearance of them. I wear them at work because they almost look like slacks from a distance, but they are super comfortable, and I don't feel overly fancy with these on. On top of that, they are great in the outdoors, I wore them while water skiing and no rips, tears, and I still stayed warm. 10/10 Would recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Third pair... great pant! I love these pants for kicking around town. But I use them mostly for wet wading when I fly fish. They dry very quickly after I get out of the river. Have several pair and will continue to buy them until I get all the colors.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from husband enjoys, but wife has to get them repaired My husband enjoys these so much but sticking on back pockets unraveling so I have to return. I am also having to return another style because of some issue. Please fix this problem because my husband loves to wear these....

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not worth the price I purchased a few pairs of the women back beauty pants and I loved them so much that my husband asked for something similar. He really liked the material the back beauty pants were made out of. They are comfortable and wash and wear really well. We purchased these pants for hi hoping they would be just as nice as the women pants I ordered but what a disappointment. The fabric is very thin and wrinkles awful in the wash. Not worth the $$ at all. Wanted to return them but I have already washed them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Benchmark for Hiking Pants These set the standard that all other hiking pants have to be compared to. Light, tough, quick drying, good fit, and the material is such that mosquitoes can't penetrate. I've used these on High Sierra hikes for years and they just keep on giving. No ripped seams or frayed bottoms. I have a slight rip in the bottom of one leg where my boot eyelet and a piece of granite collided. It happened two years ago but the rip has never gotten bigger. I can't say this for other pants that seem to give out after a couple of rough seasons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent design, execution, fit, comfort and washability I've owned a lot of warm weather pants and tried many styles and fabrics in my life, and, these are my all time favorites. Perfectly cut to look good but with enough room for comfort (Im 6'/183lbs). The construction is very strong and each piece put into these pieces is quality. Everytime I open or close the zipper of the left leg pocket I appreciate the use of a small refined mechanism and how smoothly and silently it moves in action. The elastic bands in the waist do not die, and make the fit always comfortable. Velcro closures on back and right leg pocket stay neat and closed, and the belt loops perfectly sized and generous in width hold my standard beefy 1.5 inch belt. They wash easily by hand or machine. I line dry mine because they dry so quickly there is no need to waste time, money or resources on a dryer. These pants are light as a feather! Absolutely cool even when it's 90 and 50% humidity in NYC. Funny last detail: I discovered these pants by asking a guy I saw on a Manhattan street if he'd mind telling me where he got his pants. He was like 6'4", not too muscular, nice build, and he looked great wearing them... His first line in was response was " I love these pants, I have like 5 pair because they're a great price and they're incredibly comfortable. He shared the store to go to and I got 2 pair. This summer I waited too long and they were sold out for the summer but were kind enough to give me the sku numbers so I grabbed 2 more pair in new colors online. Perfect from first sight to most recent purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No wrinkles, stylish look If you're looking for absolutely wrinkle free and easy care pants, these are for you. If you want a look that's several cuts above denim these are for you, casual but stylish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect! Columbia is one of my favorite apparel brands. These pants are perfect for warm summer days and for all outdoor activities (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Pants!!! These are terrific pants. They are lightweight and cool in extreme heat and humidity, yet the fabric blocks the wind and they remain warm enough in cool weather (not cold.) The small amount of elastic in the waistband allow for some flexibility like tucking in a shirt or not, just day to day changes, etc. Compared to some other brands (Arcteryx), these run a little bit longer in the inseam, which is great. Highly recommend these pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Right I have had 2 of the Silver Ridge Cargo Shorts & wear them most every day in the Texas heat for last 3 years! Cool, comfortable & look as good as new! Neighbors must think I have no others. I do, but they sit in a drawer & never see the light of day! Ordered the Silver Ridge Cargo Pant. Perfect complement to the shorts. Will be ordering another pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice light pants I like the solid yet light construction of these pants. I really appreciate having the Velcro back pocket flaps so that I'm sure to keep my wallet secured while hiking or doing other outdoor activities. I recommend this product. The reason I put that they run a little small is because the inseam seemed a bit long for what it was labeled. I normally wear a 32 inch inseam but the 30 inch inseam fit me perfectly

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best summer pant out there By far the best pant I've owned. Hate wearing shorts except at the beach and these pants fit the bill for hot summers as well as rainy springs. Stays cool and drys fast. Minor gripe is weak stitching on back pockets. I have a 4 pairs and they have all worn through the back pocket stitching.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Men's Silver Ridge™ Cargo Pant is great for everyday use I live in Florida and do not hike or fish. But these pants are great for everyday use in that they are very light and comfortable. They take the place of jeans.
Date published: 2017-07-01
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wish thhey were PFGs I really do like the pants but the waist size runs a little small and the waist line runs shorter than the old PFGs. The inseam seemed to run longer too. Same kind of material that should last forever and keep me cool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These Pants are Great I live in Florida and have had a couple of bouts with skin cancer. I was looking for pants that would be comfortable in the hot Florida summer. These pants fit the bill perfectly. They were true to size and fit perfectly. They are very light weigh and dry very quickly when they get wet. I would highly recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Different than the store I got two of these pants at the store and love them – the fit was great and the material is wonderful during the hot summer times. Online, I ordered two more colors that were not available to store and the size is very much different – the ones online fit a lot more snug around the waist and thighs. While not as comfortable as the store-bought pants this is still a great item for anyone who lives in a hot climate !

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What a short zipper! These pants have gone cheap. There is a 3-inch zipper now. I'm slender guy (30" waist), even with the zipper down, it's hard to pull these pants on over your hips. And forget about trying to urinate by opening the fly. I can't even get my hand inside through it. These are pants really aren't made for men. The older pair I had was really nice. The new tiny-zipper model isn't worth the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pockets Front slash pockets should be a little deeper to keep items from falling out when reclining. Back pockets need more or better Velcro to secure properly.
Date published: 2017-04-03
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Pants. Little expensive. These pants are great for hiking and backpacking as well as traveling. They're lightweight and wind proof. You can also use it in cold weather. I love the multi-pockets. A tad bit expensive. I got it on sale. If the price drops, I'll definitely buy a couple more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Caribbean Pants Wore the heck out of these while in the caribbean. I am fair skinned and like to protect my skin from any burns. Were light and comfortable for long outings in the sun (walking, fishing, boating). Will buy more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice These pants are light, comfortable, functional and actually really durable. I wear them on the trail, camping, heck! I wear them around town running errands and shopping. There so comfortable. I will be buying more pairs in different colors.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Was surprised that the pants (Blue) came with a yellow zipper on the leg pocket. No mention of the yellow zipper on the web page. Returned pants to the store. No other pants or shorts of this type have a different color zipper in the store. Either it was a reject or something else. This was my first on-line buying from the store. Won't buy again on line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Field Pants I ordered these pants to use for field work in the wet forests of Hawai'i. They are just what I needed as they dry out quickly and stay comfortable all day. The only reason I gave 4/5 stars and a "Good" quality are the stitchings around and in the pockets are coming undone; however, I'm sure that is mostly due to the day-in day-out abuse these pants get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these Pants These pants are lightweight, comfortable and stylish. Love these pants, hoping you make them in black soon as well.
Date published: 2017-02-17
Rated 1 out of 5 by from bad fit I bought these for my husband. They are too shiny. There are not enough secure, zipped pockets, and the backside is too tight even though the waist and length are fine. It seems as if they are simply not cut properly. There is no "give" when he sits down so he feels he would never wear them on a long plane ride. As a consequence, I ordered the Silver Ridge "stretch" to replace them. Those were worse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants Christmas gift for my husband who said it was just what he wanted. Put them on immediately and the fit was perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soooo comfortable I own 2 pair in different colors. They are so light weight. They are sturdy. I have a 10 year old Columbia ski jacket that is like new.
