Men's Silver Ridge™ Convertible Pant is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 277.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great outdoor recreation pant These are just about the best pair of outdoor pants I’ve ever purchased. They are extremely comfortable and have very solid stitching in the all-important places. The only reason I marked function a little lower was that there have been a few instances that I’ve had a little trouble uncoupling the belt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pants for travel I'm on the road all over the world on a regular basis. This versatile pair of pants can convert to shorts and helps me keep packing to a minimum. It's a big help considering all the professional gear I have to pack as well! The pants are comfortable and breathable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These pants are amazing! I travel and hike full time with my kids all around the country. We have been to almost every state and every climate. These pants have been amazing! I wore them with just a pair of underalls underneath in Colorado all winter. Then when spring hit they were perfect by themselves. We were in New Mexico and Arizona in summer where the daytime temps were very high. The zippers for the legs are both fast and convenient. My cat also tore a small hole in the leg when i first got them and here we are a year and a half later and the hole is the exact same size!! I love the material of these pants. Very durable and strong but pretty lightweight. I love these pants!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Getting another pair Just tried out my new Silver ridge pants and they are better than expected! Comfy, well made, and fit perfectly. Going to buy a 2nd pair. Hiking the PCT in March for JDRF and diabetes research, and the pants are perfect!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Women can were these too I am 5'9 and have a hard time finding women's pants in my length. I usually find men's but they don't fit my backside and hips. These work though. They are very comfortable to hike in and don't hold moisture. Light weight in dry heat and humidity. I have a few pair and never have to unzip the bottoms to keep cool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The only pants I wear These pants are perfect I wear them all year round. I have several colors if you get them wet they dry in minutes. I have worn them in the cold down to 13 degrees with a pair of silks underneath and been toasty warm. I wear them hiking, canoeing, kayaking and fishing as well as going out at night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fishing Husband loved these pants! These were purchased in advance of a Gulf Coast fishing trip, where space was limited and every piece of clothing had to do double/triple duty (keeping sun/mosquitos/water off skin). My husband loved the comfort of these pants, and asked for a second and third pair. Easy to purchase with standard sizing, and the zip off legs are great when the breeze is stronger than anticipated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SIlver ridge convertible pant I use these pants every weekend for fishing in the Florida keys. I deal pant for hot weather and protection from sun. If it gets wet dries emmediately and if you feel like taking a dip in the water you can unzip the leg bottoms and go for it. Excellent pants highly recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Convertible Pant I have ever owned Columbia makes the best convertible pants ever, I have owned a Grey one for a while now and is so comfortable that I have overused it. So I recently started looking for more of the same and I bought a beige and a dark blue one. It has the best utilitarian pockets and flexibility, I have even used it while playing golf. Also, this one does not look like a convertible pant but a regular pant

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy Care & Durable Lightweight and comfortable pant used for hiking/camping. Initial size ordered was normal size worn, however the pant was tight through the waist and hips. Exchanged for next size up, which fit well. Received great service with the return/exchange process!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Traveling Pants I've Ever Owned This is my third pair of these pants. I bought the first two in 2012 and after extensive use they are still wearable but looking a bit stained. The original pants have been all over SE Asia on remote treks as well as canoe trips and mountain climbs in North America in addition to day to day wear. One pair became work pants and has survived a year and a half of major carpentry jobs. All the zippers still work and the ripstop fabric has proven to be true to its name. They dry fast which is great when it's monsoon season or you're doing laundry overnight while traveling. Ample secure pockets are another great feature for travel, hiking or working. They are comfortable and reliable and look good too. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MEN'S SILVER RIDGE™ CONVERTIBLE PANT is now the new PFG! I'm a vertical endurance hiker who backpacks over 1,500 miles a year, at a incline of over 75 miles of elevation change. I purchased one pair of of the MEN’S PFG BLOOD AND GUTS™ CONVERTIBLE PANTS 3 years ago... and wore them on every hike, for the past three (3) years. I finally was forced to retire them, only after accidentally washing the pair of pants with a pack of gum... and unfortunately, the gum won. However, it really makes you wonder how much longer that amazing pair of pants would have gone. In the winter, I put thermals under them, while blazing through chest high snow, up in the Northern Arizona mountains. I also took advantage of the convertible feature, by wearing them as shorts, when I hiked the warm, humid mountains of the Hawaiian Island of Maui. However, I recently noticed that Columbia changed the design features of the MEN’S PFG BLOOD AND GUTS™ CONVERTIBLE PANT. It now appears that the MEN'S SILVER RIDGE™ CONVERTIBLE PANT has adopted & incorporated all those wonderful features of the former PFG model... such as the zipper pocket. Therefore, I just purchased and received two pair of the SILVER RIDGE™, to replace my former PFG and am now a fan of the MEN'S SILVER RIDGE™ CONVERTIBLE PANT. Best Pair of Pants... Ever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent performance Bought these for an 8 day hike in the high Sierra. Held up great in fact looked great when I exited the trail despite not having been washed. Only used the zip off feature a couple of times but zippers work great and love how they are identified right and left. Saw weather from rain to hail to snow to bright warm sun. Seemed to dry fast while wearing and did great wicking perspiration. The legs did get saturated once and did not dry so well hanging in my tent but that could have been due just as much to weather conditions. Material held up very well despite scrambling over granite and fallen trees. Excellent product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pair of Do Everything Pants I've had two pairs of these amazing convertibles. They are light and breathable as well as about as stylish as you can get for convertible pants. The only complaint I have is that some of the stitching on the back pockets and crotch area begin to unravel after heavy wear. I have been on the road for over a year and tried many other travel/hiking pants. None of them even come close to these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pants Great pants for fly fishing, quick drying and the muck comes off in the wash after a long weekend of fishing and camping. Great to have pants/shorts option. And....they are really comfortable pants to wear in the office too, better than my jeans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pant! Great Value! No doubt these are the best! Light weight, Cool (Looks and Feel), and Versatile. Easy to wash, Easy to wear! Don't hesitate...buy these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pants! These are the best travel pants. Quick dry, stain resistant, convert to shorts, zipper pocket for cash or wallet, flap side pocket for maps, wrinkle free, very small storage, and rip resistant. All the pockets are so functional. I can't find a better pair of pants for all around use. They even look decent for eating out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pants These pants were a little smaller through the thigh than normal pants however they will be great on my next hike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SMG I am an avid golfer and fisherman and these pants provide me with the option to convert to shorts when the weather warms up and the reverse when weather turns colder. They dry quickly and are very comfortable and durable. I have many in my wardrobe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants I am 5'10" and 235lbs. I wear a 36 waist (wear my pants just below my belly) and these fit perfect. Had a pair in the past and lasted 4 years and now seams starting to come un sewn, otherwise still good. Will buy again. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I bought two pairs for hiking the Inca Trail. I was initially concerned because the material seemed very thin but they held up great and were warm enough for cool early mornings. I carried my cell phone and a camera in a cargo pocket comfortably. The mosquitoes were bad so I never zipped off the legs and can't comment on that feature. They come with a nylon belt that clips which I took off and my 1" leather belt fit through the loops without problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pants a little tight in the crotch and zipper doesn't open up far enough in my opinion. Otherwise, I love these pants. lightweight, very comfortable and functional. I now have 3 pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Siver Ridge Cargo Pant Luv these pants.. light weight great for warm/hot weather BUT they need extra belt loops to prevent belt from riding up over pant in the hip areas! I luv the belt BUT the pant needs an extended loop that's 3 to 4 inches wide in the hip area which will also keep the belt from turning. Constantly, one has to hold the belt in place and make sure it has not turned with a loop off-setting the front connection making difficulty for initial fitting! Other than these complaints, they are great pants!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for Summer On our recent trip to Budapest I ended up wearing these pants (more than 1 pair lol) the whole trip. They are very comfortable. The fabric breathes unlike denim type materials, making those sweltering days bearable. They wash well. There is a small amount of unraveling at sewn joints though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loose the checked luggage Reducing space is essential for long trips if the goal is to only have a carry on bag and no checked bag. Converting pants do the trick with one garment taking the space of two. No more checked luggage for me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I bought these for my husband who is a Land surveyor. He works outside in the hot Florida heat. He originally did not even want to try them on as they were not his usual brand. Once he wore the first pair to work- he is sold on them. He loves them!! They are light weight but durable. They move with him and he does not feel constricted at all. I just bought two more pairs for him and two for my son who is also a land surveyor.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great pants, but sizing too small I like the quality of these pants--wicking, breathable, light enough for summer wear. But none of this is very good if the sizing is off. I always wear a size 30/30 but the waist on these pants is more like a 28/29. I could button them up, but they felt too tight across the front and not enough space in the groin. I would recommend these pants if you plan to get a size 2 inches bigger on the waist than usual. I hope Colombia can exchange my pants for the same style in a size larger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Landscaper finally found good summer work wear! I do landscape work for a living, and we are required to wear khaki colored pants. I have searched many brands and recently bought these. To-date, I am happy. One big requirement for me that these pants met was zip and/or top flap pockets. So many pants have open top pockets, which are debris catchers in my line of work. They are great in hot temps, "breathe" well, and the ability to remove the lower pant legs and have instant shorts is a big plus. I have not worn them in cooler temps and have some doubts, given they are a thinner, breathable material. But for moderate to hot temps, I like them. I also wonder how they will wear at the knee, as I bend to knees often. TBD.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for the trail Perfect for my early morning hikes. Very comfortable and functional. These pants protects me from the elements and they look great! Very pleased with the amount of pockets. Highly recommend.
