Men's Silver Ridge™ Convertible Pant is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I gave in...and bought convertible pants I have been hiking and travelling a lot. Going on a safari in the summer and I realized function over fashion was going to win. these fit true to size, I am 6'2 and they are not too short. The shorts are a good length. Comfortable and it seems they will be easy to wash. They have a lot of give and I will be able to hike and travel freely in them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfort and Durability!!! These are great pants, the material has just enough stretch to keep from splitting them when doing serious climbing. Put them through a grueling boy scout high adventure trip on both myself and my sonand they are holding up perfectly. We are both over 6 foot and 240lbs and hard on gear. Appreciate the great quality!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A perfect fit for a really tall guy I ordered these pants online for my 6ft 8in grandson. He always has trouble finding trousers that fit his slender frame. The pants fit perfectly, no baggy bottom. He will wear them traveling to Central America; they're perfect for city, travel and adventure.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Incorrect color In the pictures, the product looks like it’s dark blue/navy blue but when receiving the product the blue is not dark at all it’s actually a lighter blue closer to the Columbia brand blue. I was very disappointed after seeing this. Since I purchased this on sale I don’t think I will go thru the process of trying to return it. I just wished that in the pictures, it would of had shown the true color for the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants Ideal for outdoor work. Super light material. Legs detach from pants have tags on the zippers to indicate where each leg goes and one does not have to waste time figuring out. Definitely recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome pants My 15 year old boy scout LOVES these pants! He said these are the most comfortable pants he owns. We bought them for an upcoming 2 week hike to Philmont, N.M. They zip off so he can use them for short and pants. They are super light weight and have lots of pockets. They have Omni wick and sun protection. I ended up buying another pair for him because he loved them so much. I purchased size 34 34. He is almost 6 ft tall and the length was good and waist as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent pants These convertible pants are as good as the description suggests they are. They fit according to the measurement guide. They are light, dry fast and are good quality. Pockets are deep and secure. They are worth the money. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ideal pant My Columbia Convertible pants are ideal for all my travels. The comfortable waistband with belt, secure pocket closures, fabric with sun protection technology and length of shorts in the convertible pants are the only pants I need for all my globe trotting. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Traveling Pants I've Ever Owned This is my third pair of these pants. I bought the first two in 2012 and after extensive use they are still wearable but looking a bit stained. The original pants have been all over SE Asia on remote treks as well as canoe trips and mountain climbs in North America in addition to day to day wear. One pair became work pants and has survived a year and a half of major carpentry jobs. All the zippers still work and the ripstop fabric has proven to be true to its name. They dry fast which is great when it's monsoon season or you're doing laundry overnight while traveling. Ample secure pockets are another great feature for travel, hiking or working. They are comfortable and reliable and look good too. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pants for traveling I bought them for traveling for carribien vacation. First of all to get from my home to airport, be on the plane , get to resort. Then there go for excursions. This pants suits all of the above. Lots of pockets for passport, money, etc. Then if it cool outside ware them zipped and when arriving to subtropical unzip them right in the plane and be ready for hot temperature !! Excellent pants (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants I am 5'10" and 235lbs. I wear a 36 waist (wear my pants just below my belly) and these fit perfect. Had a pair in the past and lasted 4 years and now seams starting to come un sewn, otherwise still good. Will buy again. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Practical and useful Pants are excellent for hiking and simply walking around. They are light and comfortable. The belt that comes with the pants is very practical

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad stitching Pants feel and work great. Unfortunately, after only one use the stitching of the back pockets and other areas of the pants has started to become undone. Very disappointing for this product in this price range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic travel pants I am retired now and started to travel monthly with my wife..We wanted to only bring 1 back pack each carry on. I bought 1 pair to try a 4 day vacation. It was the only pair of pants I brought,.. no shorts...We flew out of Toronto when it was -15C going south to 30C weather...It was wonderful to go from pants to shorts on the plane. I spent every day in the Ocean,..the zippered pocket was excellent for money, visa etc.Lots of excellent pockets for cell phones etc.. The pants dry very quickly, are very light in weight..the zippers work very well with no fuss...Just a excellent product..You can easily and quickly hand wash in the sink if you only bring one pair on vacation..I purchased 3 more pairs all different colours..I now have light tan, dark tan and grey and are the only pants..shorts I bring when I travel or wear on the boat. I also purchased the light windbreaker with hood tucked in the neck made from lightweight material as well.same qualities, fast drying, rain proof..Columbia in my opinion is a bit on the expensive side but the quality is worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Travel I bought these to replace a competitors product after losing a lot of weight. The Silver Ridge pants had much better sizing, material is a higher quality, and they fit much better than my old pair. The higher quality zippers make them really easy to change while sitting in steerage at the back of a plane. The only negative is that Columbia does not offer shorter inseams. Sorry Columbia, I'm vertically challenged, and a 28" or 29" inseam would have made these perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from consistant This is my 2nd pair. Wear them till they fall apart and am sad to retire them.
Date published: 2016-11-21
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tighter in the waist than my other one I love these pants and this is my second pair. I am a bit disappointed that this pair feels more snug in the waist than my other pair that are otherwise exactly the same other than size 32 length instead of 30.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from dececnt pants I work in retail and use these as my normal work attire. I have three pairs all in the same size. One pair fits perfect, one pair feels slightly smaller and the last pair feels way too small. Also this last pair has had stitching in the crotch and pockets come undone. If the sizing was more consistent I'd buy a couple more. The functionality of them is ultimately their saving grace

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Silver Ridge Convertible Pants They seem like they are going to be good pants, very light.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A little small From what I seen and felt they were a good product. I had to send them back though. Too small. I'm a 36W 30L, but I found them a bit tight. Leg length was spot on though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice convertible Worth buying on sale. I expected it to be little bit thicker but is thin suitable only for summer weather. It is water resistant and feels light. Packable pant
Date published: 2015-10-01
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very lightweight I consider this more of a summer early fall pant. Comfortable and really lightweight

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants! This is the first pair of pants like this that I've owned and I love them. Super comfortable and versatile. quickly convert from long pants to shorts. I recommend folding the placket that covers the zipper before unzipping and zipping to avoid catching in the fabric. The pockets are perfectly placed and very useful. I have since purchased another pair. Highly recommended these pants!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from He loves it for kayaking! Purchased these pants for my boyfriend, for kayaking. He loves everything about them- fabric, fit and function.. they are breathable but protect him from wind and sun, and the zip-off legs provide an option when it's warmer out. They dry quickly. Really the prefect garment for his purpose.
