Men’s Summit Crest™ Interchange Jacket is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 91.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Be Careful This jacket lacks one key feature--a two way front zipper. Since it fits below the waistline and fairly close to the hips (I am slender build) it means your skiing movement is hampered by the jacket. Slitting on the chairlift is even worse since you have to "hike it up" so you can sit. How Columbia can market a decent jacket without this simple but essential zipper is beyond me. I cannot recommend it for any activity that requires waist movement or sitting. After wearing it twice ! am donating it to Goodwill. Not a good ski jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy Fits great. Sleeves leave the arms a tad bit colder then the rest of the body. But overall, great jacket. This coming from someone using it a Minnesota winter daily!
Date published: 2018-03-18
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality jacket This jacket has lots of great qualities, except that the heat reflective liner is not slippery enough. This means when you put it on, the long sleeves on your inner layers(shirts or sweaters), get pulled up as you put this jacket on, and it is frustrating. That is my only complaint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very warm for I bought this (Summit Crest Interchange) for ski trips. Everything seems high quality and the fit is a good average, though runs large for me. I wear a 42 suit coat and 34/35 shirt sleeves and the large was much too big for me - I returned it for a medium, which fits perfectly. The full jacket is very warm and more than enough for ski trips on the west coast (temperatures down to 20 F or so). It will likely spend most of its time unzipped. The reflective dots do seem to make a difference. I felt overheated after maybe 30 seconds when trying it on indoors. The liner portion is surprisingly nice, with a durable athletic feel, and seems to breathe nicely. I'll be wearing it on its own when not actually out at the snow, when the weather is cold enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps him warm! My husband picked out this jacket to replace one that was old and torn and he has been very happy with this one. It helps keep his warm with the multi layers and it is not really puffy or big. It looks nice on too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket Bought this for my husband for the cold weather in Northeast Ohio (the wind chill has been in the negative numbers recently). He says it is warm. I bought it in a Large size. My husband is 6ft and slim. It fits great, if maybe a LITTLE bit big, but it allows for layering. An XL would drown him. It looks great and I would recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Summit crest interchange jacket As usual with Columbia products this jacket didn't disappoint! We purchased it for my husband and he absolutely loves it... it is keeping him cozy and warm without being too heavy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! Due to extreme cold weather forecast for this winter season, I purchased the Men’s Summit Crest Interchange Jacket for a family member as a gift. It is comfortable, stylish, and toasty warm! The design isn’t bulky and fits well in all configurations. Pockets are roomy and easily accessible. The breatheable waterproof outer shell sheds rain and moisture completely without trapping body heat and perspiration. It has been the perfect jacket for record setting cold weather this season.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Great Winter Jacket I bought this jacket for winter in Pullman, Washington. At first, I was very disappointed because the jacket is not as thick as I thought. But unfortunately, I was surprised because it could keep me warm in 25F and up! Eventho it's thin, it can keep you warm! Recommended! Thanks, Columbia!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replaced another Columbia Coat I purchased to replace another Columbia Coat that had been an excellent coat for 20+ years but was starting to show its age. The Summit Crest Interchange Jacket is a little lighter weight than the one it replaced but a suitable intermediate coat and once the weather warms up a little bit it will get a lot of good use. Design is great and with the 3-in-1 capabilities it will be very useful in different situations.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just ok This coat looks great, but it is not as warm as I had hoped. Material is stiff, and uncomfortable. This coat just does not measure up to other Columbia coats I have owned. First time I've ever disliked a Columbia product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice winter jacket I live in the northeast part of Ohio and winters get pretty cold sometimes up here. This jacket is comfortable and well made. The overall fit is excellent and it looks good on me when I go out. The liner zips in and out which is easy to do. Keeps me warm and comfortable even when I get into a freezing car. I like the fit and style. The reason I did not rate it excellent is the liner can sometimes feel a little heavy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Warmth Encountering the Vermont arctic blast of December 2017. Temperatures down to -15, chill factor to -40. This jacket has been a lifesaver, whether outside shoveling snow or traveling the mountain ski slopes. Be sure to layer though. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MEN’S SUMMIT CREST™ INTERCHANGE JACKET I found this Jacket very useful in snow and winter. Especially this is a best choice for snow and winter for New York / New Jersey. It is long last and good to wear and easy to use. It is easy to carry and it is light weight. I will recommend to buy this product for winter season.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality My husband liked the jacket, but just wasn't crazy about the color, so I'll exchange for the same item in a different color. It looks like a warm, durable jacket that he can wear for years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great multi functional jacket I love wearing the shell on cool rainy snowy days, perfect if your in and out of the car running errands. The liner looks good by itself, stylish and warm. Together they are great when your going to be outside for a while, warm and dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm I ordered this jacket for my husband. It keeps him warm, but it´s a bit heavy. You can separate the grey jacket from the blue one, so you would actually be getting two!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth it! I am so happy with this coat. Got it right before the cold hit here in Chicago and I have never owned a better coat. I have always worn Columbia and will continue to do so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very functional I bought this jacket for my son for a visit to Pittsburgh in 27 degree weather. It kept him very warm. It had numerous pockets which he was able to store his gloves, phone, portable phone charger, etc. it was lightweight and stylish

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not good if you have a beard... The jacket is nice but I think the silver dots are a gimmick - it isn't any warmer than any other jacket I own and not as warm as my 20+ year old Columbia jacket. The high "priest type collar" is not good if you have a beard because it forces your beard up into your face/nose if you are doing something like shoveling a driveway - not comfortable! The velcro on the outer zipper flap, makes it almost impossible to zip or unzip the jacket with heavy gloves on because you need your bare fingers to un-hook the velcro to get the zipper to work. I do like the inner fleece jacket (insert) and the way it is securely zipped into the outer shell and has latches on the sleeves and collar so it doesn't come out when you take off the jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Non-Bulky Very Warm Jacket I am very happy with this jacket. It looks great on. It's comfortable. The shiny inside was surprisingly soft to the touch and VERY warm. Tested in 25 degree weather and faired very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gotta love the chest pocket venting This jacket is awesome, I wear the Omni-dry/Omni-heat liner for most days while jogging and on the daily hike up the mountain, and attach the shell when the weather picks up. I really like the chest pockets, they're totally mesh and double as vents which I like more than the normal zippered underarm openings, this jacket is ideal for my purposes to say the least. Hat's off to Columbia, once again, all their gear is top notch

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The one! I have been trough a lot of jackets and this is "the one"! I have been an outdoor enthusiast since childhood and this jacket has been on my wish list for along time. Finally a jacket that holds up in the rain and cold! Thanks Columbia!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great size This has been one of the best decisions ive made this year. The fact that I can use the sweater by itself is awesome (which is the warmest part). As a big guy myself I was scared ordering something without fitting something on beforehand but it fit perfectly with a lot of comfortably to sit down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really nice style, fit, look. Main zipper catches material Pros: Really nice style, fit, look. Materials seem good. Cons: Main zipper catches material on the inside - the way it was sewn kind of creates this problem. Also, the softshell zipout is unnecessarily short. It could be another 1-2 inches long easily. Haven't tried it in cold weather yet tho, so can't speak to warmth

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good coat I’m a 6’4” man who always finds coats that are always not long enough for my frame. This coat fits me perfectly. Even my wife agrees that it looks good on me. Comfortable and warm are the other 2 things that makes this coat work very well for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Coat I would definitely recommend this coat. It is outstanding!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile, warm, utilitarian Purchased this jacket for my husband. It fits true to size on him. We both agree that it looks nice, the sleeves are long enough, and it's very well made. The only down side is the velcro panel down the front (keeps wind out, but snags sweaters and scarves if you're not careful). The two layers each look great separated. I also have interchange jackets, and they're our go-to for travel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid jacket, especially if on sale Good quality jacket. I really don't like giving five stars for products unless they're somehow beyond expectations so the four stars is very good. Jacket blocks wind and rain very well. The back goes to the bottom of the behind or so which helps keep you warm. And you can still sit down no problem despite that without noticing the jacket. The jacket is a bit heavy for its insulation, but that's okay given how thin it is and that it isn't a down or filled jacket. Nice changes would have been pit vents and longer sleeves. For reference I'm 165 lbs 5'11'' with a very lean build and the small fits very well except for arm length.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat so far Haven't been able to use it skiing yet which is the main reason for my purchase, but wearing it outside in 20 degree weather it feels like it is well made and will do the job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ski jacket I received my new Columbia Hi Teck Ski Jacket last week and it is Awsome! Just put it to the test in cold weather & snow and it exceeded my expectation! Jacket kept me very warm without sweating and Water Proof through & through as never once let wet snow seep through at all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic jacket! Multi-purpose I’ve been wearing Comumbia for decades. Not just quality but exceptional value. This jacket is multi-purpose & we will use it in the off season as a rain jacket. Only complaint is that the zipper should be two way meaning we should be able to zip up from the bottom to privide more room in active wear.
