Men’s Whirlibird™ III Interchange Jacket - Tall is rated out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by 70chevelless from Soft, comfortable, and warm jacket I love this jacket. I am not a skier and was basically just looking for a light jacket for winter wear. I mainly wanted the coat to just wear the removable inner jacket separately. I am 6’ 5” tall – 380 lbs. – and ordered the 4XL Tall size. The fit was in my opinion “true-to-size” and I loved the feel of the soft jacket and it was very comfortable. I am basically a “shorts and t-shirt” guy most of the year, so heavy and thick coats are too warm for me. For me, I would rate this coat for weather -20° F to +35° F with just a t-shirt and wearing only the inner removable jacket (maybe another 10° F colder wearing both jackets together). The outer jacket alone would be great for weather above 35° F and also windy and rainy weather. The one knock on this coat (at least for me) was that the inner jacket was a bit too short for my tall size frame. It would have been perfect for me if it was 2 inches longer. The outer jacket is sized just fine. So, I did end up reluctantly returning it because of the too short inner jacket. But, I’m not going to downgrade my 5-star rating because of my odd-shaped frame. I really wanted to be able to keep this coat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Flyingelden from Little too big I am 6'2 270lbs and athletic. This coat fit amazing except it was too big in the middle by an extra 8-12 inches. I hade to send it back and get the xlt instead of the 2xlt.

Rated 3 out of 5 by tlrthnu from Far too big for the stated size I'm wondering what happened to Columbia's sizing. Every coat I've bought (including this one) in the past two years has been far too big. I have an older Whirlybird II jacket that fits perfectly, but five other jackets in the same size have all been far too big on me. I can't really comment on function since I have been unable to wear the jacket in normal conditions due to the size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jessiegirl from Big jacket for a big guy When we went skiing this past year, we couldn’t borrow ski clothes because my husband is a big guy. We bought them through Columbia and the 2XT size fit him perfectly. It was nice to have clothes that actually fit him right. They kept him super warm and had a lot of pockets which was nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by none12345 from Coat is warm, looks nice Nice coat and very warm. Would have questioned the purchase if I had known the coat did not have a reverse zipper. Uncomfortable to drive in or sit when wearing it as one has to hike the coat up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CRM14 from Great product, will stay warm I haven't worn it in the elements yet, but it'll definitely get the job done. No complaints on it. I was unsure whether to get a L or LT, and I ended up going with a LT. The inner jacket fits well, but the shell is just a little baggy. LT is probably a little too big for someone that is 6'2 185 lbs, but it's not bad enough to where I wanted to deal with returns and the waiting. Just wanted to possibly help out the next customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Twoweeksam from Nice! Excellent build quality as I expected. A little surprised by the packaging not being in a box. But arrived without damage. I have to admit that haven't totally tested the jacket in the weather yet. The hood seems kinda tall, not sure how that will work out. It seems like it would come down and cover half of my face especially unless I wear a cap with a bill sticking out. Love the 3 in 1 design. Liner jacket is awesome, so soft & comfortable. Highly recommend if you want to stay warm & dry - who wouldn't want that?

Rated 4 out of 5 by odb619 from nice jacket Quality of materials is obvious. only negative is the powder curtain does work with liner. bought jacket with liner for real cold days on the mountain. Annoyed powder curtain will not be useful.

I have use other Columbia products in the passed. Never had any problem. This jacket is the same true to size, warm, dry and keeps the wind out. Great jacket with out the bulk. Yes I would recommend it to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TG35 from My jacket Nice piece of gear. Well made. Bought for an upcoming trip to Germany at Christmas to visit a relative stationed there. Was able to use this weekend as it had cooled considerably. Kept the cool out. Appreciate the attention to the detail. Looking forward to wearing it during the upcoming trip.
