Men’s Whirlibird™ Ski Glove is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice gloves, but expected better Originally purchased these gloves to replace a different set that I used to keep from having to grab onto a cold steering wheel first thing in the morning. Tried the gloves on in-store before I bought them. Realizing that the medium was pretty snug, I went to the next size up and felt a lot better. Took these gloves to a local ski area last weekend (2/4), and I took up downhill skiing for the first time! Really enjoyed my time there, but the gloves took a lot of abuse from the tow ropes. The fingers showed quite a few scuff marks and the fabric is splitting to the point where I can begin to see the inner insulation. Probably would have been nicer to have a pair of lined choppers on the slopes instead.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Gloves, Snug These gloves seem like they are great quality. We havent had any cold temps yet so i havent gotten to put them to the test. They do run small. I by no means claim to have large hands, in fact i say the opposite, so i went with a medium and they are almost too tight, which was surprising.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gloves These gloves are extremely warm, I had them in a blizzard last year and my hands were nevr cold. Very functional for still being able to use your hand, they are not overly bulky. They do run a tad small. I have meaty hands and they fit snug, however I prefer it to them being oversized.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MEN’S WHIRLIBIRD™ SKI GLOVE This is a great product, so far I am getting through Wisconsin's winter quite well with them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too Short Size was too short for my hands. disappointing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Trump Gloves.. The gloves themselves look like quality gloves, haven't run them over with my car testing yet.... I decided to go with the omni-heat option because I hate the cold and I live in it. The inside palm has a slight grip which helps when throwing snowballs at my kids faces. Overall, they are good gloves if you have Trump hands. I have purchased Columbia for years, these have to be the smallest gloves they have made to date. If you decide to shrink gloves as we get fatter, make an XXL size then. Not only were they small in length, the fingers were also slightly tight. Any other glove in XL I own, no issues with fit. I nearly have to squeeze them in. Overall, good gloves for tiny hands.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from First day I used it, first day it became unstitched. I´m very disappointed because I was waiting high quality considering the price I paid for it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm and functional with one flaw These gloves are warm and good quality. I'm female, but have fat fingers like a guy, so I always buy men's gloves. A men's medium is usually sufficient, but these are a bit tight. The one flaw is that when you shove your hand in as far as it will go, then pull your hand out, the lining of the pinkie finger also comes out. So the next time you put your hand in, the lining of the pinkie is all bunched up, and you have to really shove to get it to cooperate. On occasion I've had to use my first finger to really shove that lining back into the finger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ski glove Wonderful item, keeps hand warm, I would recommend this glove to people that is outside most of the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Men's Whirlibird Snow Gloves I ordered these for my son who lives to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle to work even When it's cold outside. He already owned the matching jacket and has a pair of Columbia ski pants. These worked out perfect for him.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved my Whirlibird Ski Gloves Just returned from Sun Peaks in British Columbia and it was cold in the morning, but my hands were warm. This is the first pair of gloves I have worn where my fingers didn't get cold. Thank you Columbia and the Omni heat in my gloves. Awesome. I highly recommend them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Way too small If you normally use a medium glove, order the XLs
Date published: 2016-01-19
Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT warm at all! Do not buy this product! I love Columbia, but this is complete garbage! Your fingers will freeze in no time. Return if possible. Columbia, please do something about these gloves. They have severely decreased my confidence in your design team.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Small These gloves run really small. My wife tried on the large size gloves and they didnt fit her who wears a small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gloves I bought these mainly to have with me while driving the 4 wheeler around during hunting season. Tried them this weekend for the first time in mid 20 degree weather. At first they aren't warm but as soon as your body temp warms up the inside your hands will start sweating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome gloves These gloves are great! They are very warm and keep the snow out. I have been very impressed though with how incredibly warm they are. The Omni Heat technology is amazing. I own the Whirlibird Jacket as well and it blows me away. Thanks for such an wonderful product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Qualified Recomendation I lost one of my gloves recently and needed a new pair, these came in Tradewinds Grey which matches my new pants so I gave them a try. First the nits, most of my other gloves are medium, one large pair, they are all 'roomy'. The large I bought here actually fits perfectly which means they run small, I probably need the XL. The problem with the perfect fit is that the lining pulls and skews when you take them off (especially if your hands get sweaty). Next these are not all that warm, I don't often get cold hands but with these gloves my fingers have been cold on an average ski day (20's). Maybe I have poor circulation in my fingers but these gloves are probably not suited for really cold days (they also don't have pockets for hand warmers). That said I do like these gloves. We are currently in spring conditions and their snug fit works well (they are also pre-curved for wrapping around ski poles). The construction seems good and the styling is attractive. While they may not be your only gloves they do work for the right purpose.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What's the point I paid for gloves to keep my hands warm they did not help after 10 minutes outside on a moderately cold day - can't wear them to keep warm as I heat up or clean off the car so what's the point? would definitely return if possible
Date published: 2015-03-05
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too Small. I ordered the largest size available for my husband (XL). They were still way too small for him. Overall disappointed in these gloves
Date published: 2015-03-03
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not for big-handed guys :( I have big hands, (size 12), the XL are just too small. You would think Columbia would make one more size up, as most 2XL gloves fit me. I had to send these back and ordered a different style with a removable touch-pad gloves. It's too bad that all of Columbia's gloves and boots run so small. I love the products - just not the sizing. Well-made products, Omni Heat fabric is amazing - I would love to see it used for hammocks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good glove, good value This glove has excellent thermal properties - so far this winter, it's kept me warm at -8 F - and excellent manufacturing quality. The shape (pre-curved fingers) works well for me. My only minor issue is that its stated size seems small: I usually have room with a men's large; this one is a snug fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Whirlybird Ski Gloves Great pair of gloves. The sizing is a bit small but fits good once they are broken in. They keep your hands, fingers, and wrists warm in the coldest of temperatures.
Date published: 2015-02-22
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Be Careful, These Are Really Small Unfortunately they do not come in a XXL size, if you have big hands, these just won't work. Struggle to get on and off - shame, as they round out the jacket and hat nicely to be a warm solution.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Men's sizes smaller than women's My wife has a pair of this same glove in medium that fit me fine. can't even get my hand in a men's medium
Date published: 2015-02-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Inadequate sizing Unfortunately I was unable to wear these gloves do to the poor sizing. I have never had a problem with fit of an extra large glove before. I gave them to my son to use. Columbia needs to rethink their sizing since I read a similar complaint on another glve that they sell. It is a shame since I am very happy with my other Columbia purchases.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NIce GLoves Just bought 2 pairs for my teenage boys. Fit great and love the pull string at the wrist to keep the snow and cold out. Great gloves and warm too!
Date published: 2015-02-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Snug in the fingers, but overall nice fit I own somewhere between 8 and eleventy-billion pairs of gloves. All for different purposes. These are on the snug side in the hand for a Large, but the chart is accurate, so measure, don't go off of your typical size. I needed new cold weather waterproof gloves. I found my old ones were not as waterproof as they used to be while sitting outdoors in a snowstorm watching a sporting event. Not the time you want to. So I was able to get a great deal on these and bought them in black. The gray paneling on the black glove has just a hint of blueish gray to it, but the picture here is very close. Just a heads-up to guys looking to match an off-brand gray coat. Overall they are very comfortable, very warm, fully waterproof and easy to tighten/loosen while wearing if need be. Hard to go wrong.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs Small I order the XL gloves. I had trouble getting my hands into the gloves, but after getting past the elastic above the thumb the gloves fit great.
Date published: 2015-02-06
Rated 2 out of 5 by from fits small Used the size chart to order and it wasn't even close. Measuring from the base of my palm to the tip of my middle finger is 7.3/4" inches. Measuring from the base of my thumb across the palm is 4.25" I ordered the large just to be safe. The glove was short in the fingers & I could not even make a fist. Sent back for Refund.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Way too small Made for tiny hands. Even the xlg doesn't fit & there are no xxlg. Gloves appear great but WAY off in sizing. VERY dissapointed with my first Columbia product. I am 6-ft tall, 210-lbs, 62 years old & athletic but not musclebound; have long fingers but not fat hands. Xlg normally fits.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too small Was not able to test them except to say that I ordered the largest size and they were too small so I had to return them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from These gloves are for Looks! These gloves are for looks. My hands felt just as cold and burning with these. The same feeling as not wearing any at all. I did not get them wet or even put them in the snow. I pulled the garbage can in and shovelled the driveway. It seamed that the material transfers the cold from whatever you touch right to you fingers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome gloves Both strap systems on these gloves are awesome. I just spent a day on the mountain at 16 degrees and my hands never got cold. Best gloves I've ever owned, even better then the racing ones I had before. Really, I love them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and comfy I have been thinking about purchasing these gloves for a long while. I am glad I finally purchased, it is around 20 degree now and my hands stay warm (far above freezing), the Omni Heat works, though it is better in coats, gloves are very comfortable and fit very well, my hands stay dry and warm, excellent winter gloves
Date published: 2014-12-14
Rated 2 out of 5 by from non effective! Definitely not what I expected from Columbia, I'm a big fan of omni heat but I honestly don't think it works for the hands. As soon as I stepped outside I was ok... 10 min. Go by & my hands are not warm, the omni heat on my whirlibird coat is reflecting body heat but not the gloves, Columbia let me down this time.... & it was only 20° out with no wind nor precipitation.
