Rated 5 out of 5 by steve0357 from Nice fabric and keeps you warm, large pockets I purchased this jacket and received it right on time. Mostly wearing it to work, 2 block walk after parking. Keeps me plenty warm but the temps have been in the low digits above zero with light wind. Went for casual half hour walk this morning dressed with light weight t-shirt and sweatshirt. The Columbia jacket and hood kept me plenty warm, The temp was -4 below zero and wind chill of 20 to 30 below. The “Men’s Wild Card Jacket” was plenty warm. Jacket has nice size pockets. The hood is a little large but I know it is designed to fit over a helmet and my Mellon’s not that big. I snugged it up and today I wore ear muffs for extra warmth. This jacket is surprisingly warm for the weight. I Like the color Black, Charcoal Hthr Jacquard.. I would definitely recommend this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Duckywallace from Going to Alaska!! Purchased this jacket to be used on a trip to Alaska. With the recent cold weather and snow I tried it out and found it to be a wonderful jacket. Very nice features In the sleeve fit kept my arms warm, also loved the new Inner reflective lining, a very warm coat, kept me warm and dry. A very comfortable jacket with a removable hood, perfect for my trip to Alaska.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Return from Not what I expected The material around the zipper was not what I expected. It actually is the same material used on a jacket I paid $30 for. Also, there was no liner in this jacket, but apparently it used to come in a different version that had it liner. Long story short, I returned it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Coup4 from Warm and not bulky We bought this jacket for my son who's heading to college in Chicago. It is super warm yet not bulky at all. The sleeves run a bit long but he likes that because he can tuck his hands in so they stay warm and protected. The grey portion of the jacket has a tiny bit of a greenish tinge...works for him as green is his favorite color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PickysonMom from Picky son approves We got this coat for my very picky son. He completely approves of the color blocking, the color combination, the fit and the function of this coat. He wore it all month up in the Rockies for both casual wear and powder skiing, said it worked great and kept him warm and dry.

Rated 3 out of 5 by bluebird10 from Perfect except zippers poke underarms I ordered this jacket for my son and it was perfect except the ventilation zippers that go under the upper arms were stiff and poked into his arms even with a long sleeved shirt on underneath. I'm a similar size so I tried it on too and found the same problem. I have a nice Columbia women's ski jacket from last season and while it has the underarm zips, they aren't irritating. Too bad because otherwise he loved this jacket - it fit so nicely, was the perfect weight and was well made. We will be sending it back and trying a different Columbia jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DavidF73 from Excellent Jacket Used for the first time on a 10 mile hike with temperatures in the mid 30's, with wind gusts of 15 mph, and a steady wintery / wet mix for most of the day. This jacket kept me warm and dry. It regulates your body temperatures nicely so you don't overheat. The omni-heat & omni-dry technology really works. Can tell I'm going love this jacket already. It runs a little big but realistically my size runs between a small and medium. Excellent quality and nicely made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by zippybob from Great Fit and warm Was totally toasty at 19 degrees with only sweat underneath not crazy about the silver collar but is light and with the additional lining of down no problem for winter I like how the collar zipps up too the chin will not have too put face mask on much and will protect from cold as well on face

Rated 5 out of 5 by MacPhinz from Wild card Great jacket. Except for the wrists, no Velcro, so the zippers are sealed. Removable waist skirt. Hood is insulated, unlike most other jackets. Liner is not removable, giving better wind resistance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Whitestar from Bright Visibility - Wife can find me in a crowd! My jackets arrived in the nick of time. Had a cold spell, 29F rain and windy. My previous Columbia jacket served me well for 10 years. I'm in and out of the elements all day. The rain beads up, I just give this jacket a shake, and get in the vehicle. It has good visibility, too -- and the wife can find me in a crowd. Bright, fun colors, and this puts a smile on her face.

Rated 3 out of 5 by cfgyjdtyjdtyjdyj from Coat not worth $250. Returns department priceless! Fit great except for the collar. HUGE. Like Dracula. Not as warm as the 7 year old Columbia I sent in for zipper repair. Bought this with a credit. Wore it for 10 minutes talking to the neighbor. Brrr. Too drafty. Like it wasn't windproof. Maybe I'm getting more sensitive to the wind. I don't know. I sent it back not knowing that I had left my keys on the pocket key snap. About a week later I got a package from the returns dept. MY KEYS!!! They sent them back! WOW! Thank you Columbia!

Rated 5 out of 5 by keith32 from Winter Warrior Jacket This jacket really was an upgrade from the snow jacket I had for about 5 years now. For snowboarding or skiing, it has several functions that help keep the snow out. -The sleeves have inside cuffs that cup your wrists and make sure any snow that gets past your gloves wont go much further and you can remove it before it melts. -The snow skirting is really well made, with good elastic and multiple adjustment points. -Plenty of storage pockets, maybe 7 total inside and outide -Detachable hood that is actually lightly insulated and has something inside of it to help it actually fit on your head. When I forgot my stocking hat it actually kept my head a little warm compared to being exposed completely. -Venting throughout the jacket so when it gets hot on the hill you can actually cool down. Many other features too but overall Im very satisfied with this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PeterPro from Outstanding!!! Best single-layer jacket I've bought from Columbia and I've had several. Super warm from below zero to above freezing without having to re-layer. Pit zips really do the job when it warms up. If between sizes, go up or shoulders may feel snug. Tried M and L on in a store, went with L. Absolute winner all the way!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nick01 from Amazing jacket This jacket is great! Perfect for skiing. It runs a little large, not in width but in length, which is great for skiing. The Omni tech heat thing is great, I only wear a base layer with this jacket on top. The powder skirt is very useful and the color looks great!! (Orange)

Rated 3 out of 5 by Gumby00 from A little bummed... This jacket was suppose to replace an older Columbia skiing jacket, and I'm a little disappointed in it. There's little to no insulation to this jacket. It does have the heat shield technology, but it's much thinner than expected. I honestly haven't tried it out in the cold yet, mostly because i plan to return it and get something that will help protect me while skiing. Maybe the Powder Keg jacket, but still $400 is a bit high :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chuyescuelas from My replacement I have not used it yet. If this jacket is anything like my last one then is a gem. I had my other jacket for over 5 years skiing about 35 plus days a year and it was great. I can let you know how it does after another 35 days of skiing this season . Keep your snow dance going and enjoy your skiing season.
