Rated 4 out of 5 by ILTTOM3 from This product is good I like the color and the pockets. I wear a medium but I decided to get a large and I'm glad I did. The jacket does not keep you warm as much as I thought so I would recommend wearing with hooded/sweatshirt.

Rated 3 out of 5 by outdooradventuresgurl from Waterproof but short for a rainjacket- Not packable. Waist cinches dont stay This jacket is nice and lightweight and would be ideal for backpacking--- if it just had a packable pocket. Was dissappointed that it did not have this feature. I also would recommend buying a size up as this runs small for an outer layer. I wish I would have bought a size bigger for added length as well. I can fit a hoodie under mine but its just long enough to cover my torso. I prefer rain jackets to be longer to help cover at least part of my backside. It would have been nice if it would have at least been long enough to cover the jacket I was wearing underneath it. It would also have been nice to have longer sleeves so as to keep my hands from getting freezing (I like to pull them up into my jacket. I did end up buying a size bigger than my chest/waist measurements-- and the bust was plenty big it just needed to be longer. This jacket will probably work great for people that aren't tall and skinny. I was also bummed that the cinch up things for the waist are made of a rubbery material and dont keep it cinched up well at all! The hood ones are a little better and it stays cinched up for the most part. Also the hood isn't very deep... so if you have a bun or a ponytail its hard to keep the hood far enough forward to be effective. This jacket is def. Columbias very basic rain jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FLreader from Wished I Had This in Antarctica! Really pleased with the look and fit of this jacket. I like its longer length as it gives more warmth and more protection. Based on reviews, I chose a medium. I can wear turtleneck and fleece under it comfortably. I like the use of velcro on sleeves and on front zipper packet. I wore another Columbia Crest while traveling in Antarctica--wish I had this one then, but I bought it after the trip. With layering, I would have been comfortably warm on deck. Haven't tested the water repelling feature yet, as it hasn't rained hard in Florida recently. I hope it is as good for that feature as for the others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Juniemoon from This is a great product at a reasonable price. I needed a good hooded jacket to use when walking the dog in the rain and this fits the purpose fine. It is completely waterproof. I got the White-Niagra and it is really classy looking. If the weather is cold you need to add an extra layer under it (it is not for use as a cold-weather jacket alone) but there is plenty of room to add a sweater and you are toasty warm. As recommended by the manufacturer, I ordered a size larger than normal and it fits fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nikki13 from Excellent Rain Jacket This jacket fits great. I purchased the small, I am 5'2" and 118lbs. The jackets has an inner zippered pocket, which is great. The waist and sleeves both have velcro to tighten. The only thing I don't like is the hood. At least for my head, I wish it was slightly larger. Otherwise, it is a great quality and good looking rain jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bpdx from Awesome! Living in Portland I'm no stranger to the rain, this jacket keeps me dry all day running around Portland State Campus. The sleeves are long but that worked great for me because I always have problems finding jackets with sleeves long enough for my arms. Overall very pleased and happy with my purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Smiz from Excellent Product Best jacket for my environment. I'm very picky about my coats, it doesn't get very cold in my region so I usually burn up in coats. This jacket keeps the wind at bay and keeps me at a reasonable temperature. It keeps me dry and the size is just right. I can fit a sweater under it for added warmth. Great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Queenbee32 from Excellent look, feel and comfort This jacket was purchased as a gift and the person loves it. It has become their main jacket. It breathes, which makes it very comfortable. It is roomy enough for a sweatshirt to go underneath. The drawstrings at the bottom and the cuffs around the wrist are excellent at keeping the wind and rain from coming through. The hood is deep enough to cover the head without blocking vision. I am more than satisfied. I have a few Columbia products and I have not been disappointed. Thank you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Aimeerene from Nice rain jacket Purchased this for a Christmas gift for my mom. It's somewhat light weight, so on chilly days, you would need to wear something heavier underneath. The medium fit, with a little room to spare. My moms 5'8" wtih a slender build.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dazyromo7 from Columbia Jacket Review I LOVE my Columbia Water Proof jacket. It gave exactly what it promised. It was the perfect fit and is very light weight. I like how there are pockets inside the jacket. I really recommend this jacket to anyone who wants to stay dry in the rain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by elmo19 from Stylish and functional I needed a nice rain jacket for the Florida spring showers that would go with my colleges colors (navy&white). My current rain jacket is the Whirlibird outer shell and it's just a little too thick, and hence warm, for Florida. I ordered a small, as I always do with Columbia outerwear, and it fits perfectly. I'm 5'7" and 135 lbs. It's has a nice cut specifically for women, so it's not boxy at all. I could easily fit a sweater underneath it if need be. The colors were true to online. The hood doesn't fold into the collar, which would be nice if using as a wind breaker, but that isn't a deal breaker for me at all.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Lanny from Runs small in chest, long arms Nice jacket, but not cut well for those ladies who are busty. I went by the size chart for bust measurement and ordered a large, but it was too tight across the bust to be comfortable. Also, I'm 5'4" and the arms hung well past my fingertips. With the arms so long I decided not to try an XL. This jacket is going back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JCMS from Kept Me Dry in Downpour I bought this rain jacket to take on vacation, but have used it numerous times around here (Ohio) for hiking and running errands. It fits a little snug, I would order one size up if you want to be able to put a heavier layer under it. I got caught in a downpour a mile and a half from my car and did not have one leak or wet spot anywhere on me that the coat was covering.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lily18 from Cute But Not Dependable Rain Gear This coat may be great for a quick dash to your car on a rainy day but I would not recommend this product to anyone who needs dependable rain gear. I work on a farm and purchased this coat with high hopes of relying on it to keep me dry on rainy harvest days. After an hour or two of harvesting in this coat, I find my clothes are consistently soaked during moderate to heavy rain showers. I have always thought highly of the Columbia brand and was extremely disappointed in the quality of this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by nrogall from Practical rain coat I am 5'8" and 140 lbs. I ordered the small but had to exchange for a medium. I have not worn it in the rain yet, but wanted to give a heads up about the sizing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Piper from Love this jacket! Being an Oregonian this jacket is great! It's light weight and water PROOF not just water resistant like many others, plus the colors (I got the blue dark compass one) are vibrant. I had to order it online cause they didn't have my size in store still but it was literally at my house in like 2 days.

Rated 4 out of 5 by aggie2012 from Very Practical I really like this jacket since it's light, yet keeps you warm and dry. I ordered a small which fit a little longer than I'd like. I am only 5' 2'' 110lbs so assess your size accordingly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Shellipp from how come nobody has commented on the zip and armpits? chose the quill, lovely color. have not yet checked function. has a nice shape - not boxy. two problems - the zip is awkward to join, the armpits are tight, even when only wearing a t-shirt underneath.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lola144 from AWESOME lightweight wind/rain proof I work on a dive boat. The winter can get very cold after the dive. This coat is PERFECT. Lightweight. Keeps the spray off my body while returning to the dock. It is a GREAT color and the usual quality that is expected from Columbia! I am 5'4" weigh 112 lbs and the small fits PERFECT

Rated 5 out of 5 by MrMike from Great lightweight/waterproof jacket I purchased this jacket for my wife and it fits true to size. Took it to Britain and it repelled water well. I did seal the seams as a precaution based on other reviews. Good variety of colors and features. There are not instructions on the use, so you kind of have to figure it out yourself. eg Velcro on hood can be used to adjust forward placement when raining or tucked in jacket loop to keep hood tied down. I haven't quite figured out how to get it to collapse into 1 pocket. Prices can vary between vendors. Served as windbreaker too. No sweating when wearing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Skipdawgs from Foul weather no prob Great foul weather jacket, need it for harsh rains on the boat and for everyday use. It has the inside plastic lining so rain doesn't soak through. The jacket is actually quite stylish too. No complaints, exactly what I wanted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bee14 from Great weight, fit , quality and color! This purchase was simply a color upgrade. I have a perfectly good Columbia rain jacket that I bought many years ago, the only "problem" is Columbia's commitment to quality makes their jackets last forever!! I'm a purple fanatic, so I bought this jacket in 'Quill' (and another style in 'Velvet Morning') - I plan to pass on my older Columbia jackets to my nieces - An active family of 4, our closet looks like a Columbia outlet store. Great (long lasting) quality, designs and styles for any and all activities!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Susie1000 from Exactly what I wanted! The Arcadia Rain jacket has great color which is characteristic of all Columbia clothing--I bought the Deep Blush which will make me happy on gray days. Rain bounces off the fabric, it's light, but not too light, sweaters fit under it--and the price is excellent when I compared this jacket to a similar-styled and colored North Face rain jacket that my friend had purchased. I am a native of the NW, have been a huge fan of Columbia, since its inception and I'm always satisfied and proud to wear Columbia clothing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by HelloEveryone from Great Rain jacket! I am female. 120 lbs. 5'6''. I ordered the Small size and it fits very well. I've worn it with a heavy sweater underneath and it still works pretty well, although it is a little tight. Most importantly, the rain jacket actually repels rain! This is most definitely worth the price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by CollegeGirl14 from Rain Coat! I love this coat! I was worried about it being warm enough, as I go to college in western New York, but although it's pretty light, it's perfect! The fit is great as well. I'm pretty tall and sleeve length is always an issue for me, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that this jacket has long enough arms without having a body width that is way too big. The drawstrings on the sides are great for solving specific sizing issues. Overall, a great buy!

Rated 1 out of 5 by PJ52 from Not as good as prior Columbia jackets I had an omni tech several years ago and wore it out. This replacement jacket isn't the same quality, doesn't keep the wind at bay as my first jacket did. Also, I am a size 4-6, ordered a large and it barely fit. Overall I am quite disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sel3 from Get what size you think you should get Ok, so I was reading the comments before buying the jacket and everyone was saying you should buy a size smaller. Now hearing that I figured I shouldn't buy my original size a XS and went up to a S. Now the S was kind of big and made me look a little boxy, but it was still cute and I just kept it. But, overall I am saying buy the size you think you should get, because not on everyone it runs a size small. Anyways the jacket is amazing really nice look, feel to it, it kept me warm, and protected me from the mini "hurricane" we just had. So I would defiantly recommend it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bug58 from Didn't work for me I ordered the jacket in Velvet Morning that was really pretty, and the material was soft for being waterproof, not plastic feeling. The downside was the sleeves were very long and for an x-large I assumed it would have a little more room than it did. I unfortunately had to return it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Hot in Hawai'i This jacket is as waterproof as plastic, but not impressively ventilated. For hiking in Hawai'i it is just a little too hot, especially in summer when rainstorms don't take the temperature much lower than 75F. Everything else about the jacket is superb. I am 5 ft 5 in tall and generally wear a size 4 but I got the jacket in Medium so I could travel with it and use it as an outer layer if necessary. Very roomy Medium! BTW there is probably no rain jacket that is cool in tropical showers: in Viet Nam everyone--even on bicycles--wears plastic ponchos in the rain ($2), giving them adequate protection and superb ventilation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by rainraingoaway from Let it rain!! I bought this product due to the "biblical" rains that Colorado has been getting lately. Although I didn't get the jacket until the end of the horrible weather I have still gotten to use it in sprinkles and slight rains. I am dry and warm, which is good. I think the jacket is great, although it does fit a bit big I am normally a small but my arms are long so I thought a M was a good idea. I like the anti chafe zipper strap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MollyS from Great basic rain protection! I've had this hooded rain jacket for about a week and it seems to be ideal for the purposes I want to use it. It is light weight and can be packed into day back for hikes and is light and comfortable for protection from wind and rain. The price is reasonable and affordable and the color choice is great! I went with white for easy visibility in rainy weather.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Iliketobike from Summer Raincoat I am 5'5", about 135, ordered a medium (which almost always fits me in anything), and the coat fits just right if I have a light shirt on. It is a bit tight under the arms, and I wouldn't be able to fit a sweatshirt comfortably under it. I was in the market for a summer raincoat in the mountains, so this is perfect, and the quality of the coat is great--I've already gotten some great use out of it. But if you're looking for something on those cold rainy days, either buy a size up or look for a different style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jimee from flexible The fabric is very flexible and soft. It really surprised me. I love it! I would recommend to add some pictures from the inside of the jackets. Only some show all the product; also some details. I think that would make the experience of buying at Columbia much better.
