Women's Baselayer Midweight Tight is rated out of 5 by 61.
Rated 5 out of 5 by MayberryMagpie from Best layering tights ever! I love these tights. After reading the reviews on several sites, I wasn't sure I would like them, but I'm so glad I ordered them. I liked them so much I even bought a second pair later. They fit great -- true to size. (I'm a size 14 and 5'11" tall and the size L is perfect for me.) They are soft and comfortable and warm, a perfect base layer. I wear them under a heavier outer layer for winter running and I wear them under slacks to stay warm in my cold office. I read one review from a woman who did not like the omni-heat lining, saying it was itchy. I did not find this to be the case. I think they are extremely soft and comfortable. I have tried many different kinds of base layers, including silk, and these are by far the best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joycie12 from This product was as expected I ordered this product for an upcoming trip to Quebec, so I haven't put it to the test yet but the fit is great. The pants are not too bulky so outerwear should slide nicely over them. I bought the matching top in a local sports store before ordering the pants. Now I have the matching set for some below zero temperatures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TheMooreClan from Exactly What I Needed I spent New Years Eve in Times Square standing outside for about 7 hours in 30 degree weather and my legs felt perfectly fine in these thermal leggings. Between 28 and 35 degrees Fahrenheit, these babies are magic. They are super comfortable, thin so they fit beneath your jeans easily, and true to size. Above 35 degrees or so though, you'll probably get hot. Below 28, it started to feel like not enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mish1100 from Stay warm I was waiting until we reached your typical Canadian temperatures of -25c,-30c to let you know what I really think of these under layers and the result is.... I wear them like I wear my underwear... EVERYDAY! I have been iceclimbing in -20 temps wearing them where I was standing still for a long period of time. I wear them to work everyday since I am outside on yard duty everyday. I am able to wear them under my dress clothes and they don't make me look 5 lbs heavier. They are comfortable and fit well. I love my under layers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by oberdieckk from warm and comfy I like the feel of these and they keep me warm. They are true to size. I am usually a size 8/10 pants so the Med fit. They were a little long as I am 5'4" so if you are a little taller they should fit perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sbeth1 from So Comfortable! I wore these today under a skirt to work. Kept me warm waiting for train in 9 degree weather and still were comfortable at work!

Rated 4 out of 5 by ClassiMahler from It works I live in the Boston area and it gets cold during the winter months. The tights are thin enough to wear under my work slacks but when I'm outside racking leaves and doing yard work, they keep my legs warm. The tights do exactly what the description says. I thought the size that was suggested would be too small for my large, round bottom, but the sizing was surprising right on!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Not so warm These fit like a dream and were nice to the touch. However, they are not warm. I was out in only 25 degrees walking with a pair on under my jeans while wearing a mid-thigh down coat and my legs were so cold. They are more of a lightweight base as I had to add another layer just to walk to the store. I am outside every day as I walk and use public transportation. These fail at 40 degrees and under.

Rated 5 out of 5 by nwoodworth from Second Pair! This is the second pair of the midweight baselayer omi-heat pants that I have bought from Columbia. They are wonderful! I live in Northern Minnesota and work outside everyday, even if it is -40 with windchill. These keep me so warm! My job is very active and I can honestly feel the heat when I am moving. I love Omni-heat products and I am growing quite the collection! They fit nicely under all my pants and I never feel bulky wearing them. I wear a pair of these nearly everyday during the winter season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cambridgegal2010 from Very warm during the winter This is not only fashionable, but very warm. I didn't have to wear tons of layers because all I needed was this tight plus a thin extra layer on top to feel warmer than I used to with two pairs of pants on. The only thing is that during the winter, the price is hiked up more than half, so the next time I buy more it'll be during the summer ;-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by abellek from Great quality, comfort and functionally cute! I love these leggings/tights- I bought 2! They are very comfortable, light, thin and warm. They kept me dry, warm and comfortable for downhill skiing in 25 degrees F on mountain in rain/sleet/snow/ high wind mix conditions. I wore them under gore-tex snow pants-just a shell, not even insulated snow pants and I was still plenty warm enough and not wet!) I was one of the last in my crew to be done for the day because I stayed dry and warm the longest! I am a size 28 sometimes 29, 4-6 in avg pant sizes and the size S fits wonderfully because it stretches nicely and is well constructed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by errinlee from Great in Germany I am studying abroad in Germany and that is the reason for my purchase. I wear these tights under my pants during the colder hours of the morning / evening. They are so warm, in fact, that during the days they are too hot! I also wear them alone when I run outside in the cold. The weather here during the day is currently avg in the 30's. There is still snow on the ground. I hope this review helps. The colors are bright and fun fyi! I am 5'8" 130 lbs and I wear a small comfortably.

Rated 4 out of 5 by accurl from Keeps you warm while moving! I ordered these to wear for curling as I am always cold! They are very easy to layer under athletic pants and fit close to the body nicely. They are very long, but I didn't find it to be a problem even though I am only 5'3". The only thing that made me knock them to a four instead of five is that the omni-heat dot things can be a little scratchy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Shanon from Love them! Tia is my second pair of these leggings. I have worn them for everything from skiing in the Northeast to backpacking to rock climbing. They're nice and warm for every activity I've tried except for indoor running. In that case they get a little bit too hot. In terms of quality, these are great. I bought a second pair for aesthetic reasons, as rock climbing had created pills on the seams. Now I've set aside the old pair as my rock climbing leggings and the new pair as the one I live in. Size XS: 5'3 115lbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ashli from Love!! I loved the idea of these but once I got them I loved it even more! I am 5'10" and they go almost to my ankles (which is a miracle with a regular inseam). I wouldn't recommend buying these for leggings though. The wind goes right through them and the omni-heat is useless unless there is some sort of wind block. They are thin enough to wear under jeans without bulking. The only thing that I didn't necessarily like is that the omni-heat made my legs a little itchy. I don't usually have very sensitive skin. After you wear them for about ten minutes, you get used to it. I don't notice it anymore though. Definitely a must for snow sports though! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by atokad22 from love these pants i bought these and the extreme fleece pants. these arent as warm, which i expected as they are mid weight. they still do the job and are very comfortable. if you don't need lots of extra warmth i recommend these pants. not great on a super cold day but other than that they do their job. a bit long but not enough to be an issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Julie14 from It's very comfortable The pants of XS size (rose) fit me although a little long but not matter much. I love the color and the touch of feeling. It's a little bit thinner than I thought, and I haven't gone outside sport so don't know its heat-keeping ability yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NDeck from Does what it advertises. Very stylish long underwear - ooops, now called base layer. I use it under my tennis shorts playing tennis in the winter on cold indoor courts. Also under regular pants just around our cold house. Fun to put on - the silver on the inside is pretty high tech and allows the tights to be thinner, which is nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kathy1952 from Perfect weight I absolutely love this baselayer for wearing under my everyday Columbia pants. I have numerous styles and these pants do not add bulk or rippling. They add just enough warmth on most of our colder days. I'm going to try the heavier weight for the more extreme cold weather. The fit is perfect, plenty long in the legs (I'm 5'8) and they are not too short. Even the stride is perfect. This is my second pair and now I want all the other colors!

Rated 5 out of 5 by AnchortownGal from Comfy base layer and running tight I've worn these for subzero runs (not warm enough to wear alone but good as a base layer) and on a 35 degree temp run. They were not warm enough to wear for walking only in 35 degrees (during the warm up walk) but were fine once I got running for a while. They do feel like they are being "activated" by your body heat as you get moving. They hold up to wind fairly well and are super comfortable and flattering. I'll use them alone for running in temps 35 and above. The fit is wonderful. I bought a large and it is perfect size for me at 5'4" and 165 lbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SHPSgardener from Warm and light weight These are an easy layer to throw on under a pair of jeans for working outside in the cooler weather. I tried them out on a motorcycle ride with temps in the upper 30's and they were fine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by petite from the silver dots made me itchy I think the Omni-Heat technology really works well, however the silver dots made me feel very itchy on my skin. So after trying them on, I immediately decided to return them. I think it does the function of keeping warm very well, but not good for sensitive and dry skin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Annie834 from Great Product! I love this product! It runs very true to size, is extremely versatile, comfortable, and keeps me the perfect temperature! It reflects my heat in keeping me warm, yet allows for breathability. You are kept at the perfect temperature. They are extremely comfortable, I can wear them as baselayers for the cold, as leggings, or even to bed. I love these and would highly recommend them!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by RLH1969 from Great base layer I pared these with the medium weight long sleeve top and they are great. During the camping trip I wore them day and night and I stayed dry and warm. The fit is perfect for me. They performed in every way as described by Columbia.

Rated 5 out of 5 by EllaF from Weekend attire I live in these pants every weekend! They fit great and I just wear them as leggings with long tops/sweaters. During the winter I wear them underneath khakis for work because I'm constantly in and out of my car (in chilly Buffalo weather). They are great for layering or wearing on their own. This is the second pair I've purchased because of how frequently I wear them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BC825 from Nice Pants I really liked these pants for wearing as a baselayer when it was really cold out. They really do insulate but not add too much bulk. I actually really liked them as a running pant when it was really cold out. They wash well and are flattering as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rowdy from Super warm and super light I got a pair of these to help keep me warm for the winter. So far I have only gotten to use them one day in the snow but they kept me really warm. The whole day I wore them under some thin pants, but they still kept me warm. They are really comfortable and feel a lot like my running pants, but warmer. The Omniheat is really great and keeps me warm all day.

Rated 3 out of 5 by gahiker from Not quite warm enough I purchased these long underwear because I tend to run cold, produce little heat while standing still, and wanted something warmer when I'm out climbing and hiking in the fall and winter months. Columbia's omni-heat technology sounded like an innovative way of meeting my needs at an affordable price. When the long underwear arrived I wore it around my apartment in 60-something degrees. I found that when I stood still or the wind was blowing that I was actually cold, but when I was walking/moving I was warm. Given that I climb and frequently stand still while belaying others, being cold was not a good state to be in (esp. since I was buying them be warm). However, most of my friends do not have trouble producing heat/being warmer than me and would have liked having these in their closet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kellie from Whistler in March I bought the mid weight base layer shirt and pants for my trip to Whistler in March. I was concerned it wouldn't be warm enough, but found out after about 10 minutes on the slopes that I was wrong. I was glad I didn't wear a mid-layer on top because I would've overheated. The base layer pants fit true to size, the elastic worked well to hold them up, and they were thin enough to wear under jeans just strolling the village. I would buy these again in a heartbeat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Very happy I needed a baselayer to keep me warm under thin rain pants while skiing. I was very concerned about being to cold, but these worked out perfectly! Rated 5 out of 5 by Justme from exceeded expectations We bought the entire outfit for me and my wife and have used it from skiing to mountain biking to wearing it in the cold early morning hours to and from swimming. It sure keeps you warm and lets the sweat evaporate without feeling wet or clammy. We can highly recommend it and it is worth the extra cost because of the versatility and lightweight design.
