Women’s Bugaboo™ Interchange Jacket - Plus Size is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 107.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sporty style I love the looks of this coat. It runs small because of the liner so I recommend you get one size larger. Having the liner to wear alone is an extra bonus. These are high quality coats and recommend purchasing them. My last jacket was a Columbia and it lasted 20 years! I hope this one lasts that long too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Coat for a Minnesota Winter I have had this coat for about a month now, and so far I have nothing but wonderful things to say about it... The zip-out fleece is very comfortable and very warm on its own, and I have gotten several compliments on it. I love the large pockets that fit my phone, my keys, my chapstick, and my mittens. When I add the shell, this coat is wonderful in snow, in rain, and in wind. In fact, I walked 1 mile in it when it was 19 degrees (no precipitation) and by the half-mile mark I had to unzip it to my chest and take my winter cap off because I was so warm. The zipper pockets in the shell are deep enough to fit all of my winter accessories, and I like the lightweight hood that I can simply pull over my cap to protect me from wind and precipitation. The coat looks sporty overall, but in my line of work (business casual) I would have no problem wearing it with dress pants and feeling as though I looked completely appropriate. I normally wear a 2XL in shirts and jackets, but I bought a 3XL after reading previous reviews, and I am glad that I did. It gives me just enough room to wear a long-sleeve shirt with a heavy sweater under my coat and still feel comfortable. I hope to enjoy this coat for years to come, the same way I have enjoyed previous Columbia coats.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very nice coat We have high winds along with the cold weather and this coat keeps me very warm. And it is very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprised! I am a Mississippian relocating to Iowa in the dead of winter and I was reluctant to purchase a jacket without being able to try it on! However, this jacket seems perfect for what I will need and I’m confident it will help keep me warm this winter!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Jacket for Cool and Cold weather It's only September and it's cool enough to wear this jacket without the liner. I was surprised hoe warm it was. It's very attractive and comfortable. I bought 1 size up and it will be just right for fitting over other layers comfortably.
Date published: 2017-09-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too much velcro! Although this coat is well constructed and of good quality, it has too much velcro, which catches/snags on my clothing every time I put it on. Also, it's not as warm as I had expected it to be. For my upcoming trip to Iceland, I will need to wear an additional quilted jacket under it. I liked some of the colors better than the black that I purchased, but didn't care for the contrasting colors on them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Jacket! This jacket is comfortable, stylish and versatile. I wear an XL but bought a 2X and it's big on me, but it's comfortable so it's perfect!
Date published: 2017-01-20
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight warmth After reading reviews, I chose to order a 2X. I'm 5'10" and have broad shoulders for a woman. I also workout quite a bit and have bigger arms. There's plenty of room through the midsection, but it's still a tiny bit snug through the shoulders and upper arms. I won't be able to wear bulky sweaters or sweatshirts under it, but I do like the length and fit of the rest of the jacket. I really like that it's not bulky but still feels quite warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and stylish This was a gift to my wife. Normally, a large would fit with some extra room. Had to go with a 1X for proper fit. She loves the style, features and warmth.
Date published: 2017-01-13
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what it says it is This coach is not for winter it is more of a fall or early spring jacket. I bought it as a present for my wife, so she put it on and walked outside and she said she was freezing it's not even a winter jacket. I would definitely not recommend this as a winter jacket at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Homerun! I always buy Columbia whenever I purchase a jacket as they, in my opinion have the best quality. I bought this jacket in a 2X as I like to be able to wear sweatshirts/sweaters underneath if need be, and have always found that if I order one size bigger than I normally wear for comfort that does the trick and this was no exception. I love this jacket...keeps me warm, dry, and stylish all at the same time! Couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket Well made, lightweight and warm without bulk. It looks good on and keeps me warm and dry. I also bought snow jackets and pants for my grandkids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great style and comfort! I ordered the chalk color with a fushia inner jacket. What a lovely combination with a bit of navy blue thrown in on the sleeves. The omni heat makes this 3-in-1 light weight, not bulky but very warm. Came in just in time for our 20-30 below freeze. Very happy with the style, color and warmth provided by this jacket.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nebraska weather Purchased this woman's 2x jacket. I'm 6' and the sleeves were too short. The jacket be ok if I had long gloves. It also didn't have a chest pocket inside or out side. I'll be ordering men's size when I get my refund for length. Jacket is really light weight and won't keep you warm when it's -1 outside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what the winter ordered! The jacket is great! Meets all expectations. It's true to size. I don't know why people say it runs small, it doesn't. You can move smoothly in it. It's very warm. Looks great, slimming. Zipper works great. Only negative is when taking it off you have to grab the end of the sleeve to pull it off. Sleeve aren't smooth so it really grabs you, doesn't come off easily but arms are warm with like a flannel feeling material. Also a zipper at top and bottom would be nice so when sitting it wouldn't bunch up but these are real critical suggestions. I love it and am very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warmth without the bulk When this coat came, I was skeptical because it was a lot thinner that my old Columbia that I've had for about the past 7 years. I was pleasantly surprised that it was actually warmer than my old bulky one was, I'm guessing due to the Omniheat technology. Right now in Wisconsin we have had -20 degeee wind chills for the past 2 days, & the coat is doing its job keeping me warm. I wear a 3X and have trouble finding a jacket in my size that actually looks decent. And while this jacket was a little smaller than my old 3X Columbia from 7 years ago, it wasn't overly small as a lot of the previous reviews have led me to believe. In fact, it fits perfect, since my old Columbia was a little big. I got the blue with the coral colored liner & the coat is beautiful. Definitely one of the better purchases I've made this year!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm without the bulk, fits well! I really like this jacket! It's really warm, and isn't heavy or bulky. It fits well. The fleece lining and outer layer are well-designed. I do wish it had a chest pocket in addition to the side pockets. Also, it's a bit difficult to zip the zipper all the way up because the flaps keep folding out. Overall it's really good.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from product was good except the sleeves Ordered this coat one size up because of reading that it ran small. The body fit great, but the sleeves were very narrow and long. Wouldn't be able to wear a sweater under it and the sleeves came halfway down my hand (I'm 5'9"). Very disappointed and sending it back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not My Best Choice For the most part, Columbia gives a fantastic product. However, I was disappointed in this jacket -- and even more disappointed that I did not return it. I wear a 2X, but because Columbia routinely runs small, I ordered a 3X. The sleeves are sooooo tight, however the rest of the jacket fits great. My biggest problem is with the lining. When you put your arm in the sleeve, the lining comes out the bottom. When you pull your arm out, the lining comes with, probably because the sleeves are so tight! In addition, this jacket is NOT warm -- at least for a Minnesota winter. Beautiful jacket -- just not functional or warm.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable jacket This is a good comfortable winter coat. It's light weight and easy to wear. It isn't quite as warm as I expected it to be though. In 35° weather it's ok but if you just have a light weight shirt on underneath you can feel the chill. I'm not sure how it would do in much colder weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Bugaboo Jacket. I love everything about my Bugaboo Jacket. The colors are great, the fit is a little big, but that's ok I can wear sweaters under it. Great jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Doesn't feel like a heavy duty coat but keeps me warm I am normally a 1-2x depending on the brand. After reading reviews that it seemed to run small and I wanted to be able to wear a sweatshirt underneath, I ordered a 3x. It was too big so exchanged for a 2x which is a perfect fit and I still have room for a sweatshirt if I want but it doesn't look huge on me. LOVE the color, I ordered Red Camelia and it's actually more of a coral/neon pink. The jackets feels lightweight so I was worried that it might not function well in cold weather but so far so good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed You may want to check to make sure someone kept the product before sending them a review.. I loved the looks of the coat but it runs small.. I don't take a 3xl in anything else but I wanted to get it bigger as I am always carting my son and wanted room to move around and it was very tight at the shoulders. It would have been very uncomfortable if I would have kept it :-/ I wish you had bigger sizes because I would purchase a size that fits I do love your products but that size just didn't work for me :( so I'm very disappointed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bugaboo coat LOVE LOVE this coat! I bought it in the bluebell color and it is beautiful, I also got the hat and scarf in the bluebell color and they look gorgeous together! I usually wear a xl coat but went up to a 1x so I can wear a hoody with it if I'd like; and it's perfect, it's a lil tight in my shoulders but not enough to be uncomfortable. I have always loved Columbia products. My last coat lasted me a good 4 years b4 the zipper wore out. Only complaint I have is that the inside zipper is under the fleece lining, if they made the pocket in the fleece lining it would have been a no flaws jacket. But it's not something that will bother me. Overall I'm in love with my coat, hat, n scarf! Thanks Columbia!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved the colors! I ordered a 2x to give myself room if I was going to wear sweaters under it, I'm glad I did because it does run a little small. The quality is great which is what I expected from previous Columbia purchases. Warm without the bulk. The colors are fantastic and I have received many compliments.
Date published: 2016-11-16
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the same. It's not the same type of very warm Bugaboo that you may of had a few years ago. It's made out of thinner materials that makes it no where near the warmth it once was. It would make a good fall/early winter coat, but not a dead of winter type of coat.
Date published: 2016-11-12
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! I absolutely love the color/fit of this jacket. Not sure if it is going to be as warm as I would like it once temperatures drop, but so far it has been excellent! It does run a little small. I wear a size 16 and ordered a 2X and it fits perfect. I have room to wear a sweater and I don't see it being to tight.
Date published: 2016-11-07
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wish you had this in petite sizes I really like this coat with the exception of the sleeves being too long for me. I'm taking to a seamstress to have the sleeves shortened, where as a petite usually fits me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderfully Warm I bought this coat as I have fleece Columbia jacket which I love. This year I wanted a new winter jacket. This one is lovely and warm and keeps you warm even on the coldest days. What I really like is that you can use it as a fall jacket, rain jacket or all three together for a warm winter jacket. I normally wear an XL bottom and L top but I ordered a 1X as Columbia also runs their sizes small. I would recommend ordering one size up from your dress size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love Columbia Coats I don't have any Columbia stores in my area where I could try on coats, but I've had two Columbia coats before (and I love them for their warmth! A side note: both of their zippers broke, though, so that's an issue Columbia may need to concentrate on). The first coat was a little big; the second was quite tight. I'd read the reviews that Columbia coats run so small, so I decided to order up to a larger size. But, it was HUGE on me. (My son described me as a "giant marshmallow"). So, I'm ordering down a size and see if that one fits better. I hope it does!
Date published: 2016-10-01
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just a tad small. I read the reviews but ordered my regular size (1X). I did have to reorder for a 2X. I am bigger in the stomach area and where I have most problems with fit. My arms, shoulders, and bust are not where I carry my weight so 1X was fine in those areas but too small around waist. The "bluebell" color was a good powdery medium blue with a little bit of a purplish undertone (pretty close to color on website). I have always enjoyed Columbia products and will get a lot of use out of this too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Versatile Jacket I purchase this jacket in black last winter to wear in Nebraska while visiting family. It was perfect! I wore it daily for nearly a month in sub-freezing to 13 degree weather and snow. I never got cold at all. Best of all, when I returned home to GA, it came in handy for the week or so of really cold weather. After that in our moderate climate, all I had to do was zip the lining/inner jacket out and wear either of them depending on the weather of the day. I particularly liked the zip-up pockets and the adjustable sleeves. The hood was nice for wind and is easily detachable or, if you prefer, you can just stuff it back into the collar and zip it up when you do not need it. Overall, I consider this a purchase well worth the money. I think it will last for a long time. I highly recommend this jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A bit bulky I first ordered a 2X as I've gained some weight and found my XL coats too tight around the bottom (I didn't find a 1X option at first). It was HUGE!! Returned it and did then order the 1X. Am accustomed to more form-fitting cuts, so this coat seems a bit boxy. The fabric is somewhat noisy, but Columbia's quality construction makes up for that. The layers are great - makes it useful for more things. The length and snow skirt will make it good for powder skiing and it fits over my insulated pants (which are bulky, too!). I haven't used it in the cold and snow yet - my feeling is it may be too warm, but can adjust underlayers accordingly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket but lacks storage Great look and classic Columbia style! love the jacket but it is missing storage access. The fleece liner has to be unzipped to access the jacket storage for a cell phone or iPod. Needs an alternate Zipper location on the outside or in the zipper flap so it can be accessed when the fleece liner is used. Still one of the best coat manufactures out there. We trust Columbia to keep our family warm and dry outside!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat I love my new jacket. I was worried it would not fit but it does with some room to spare. I like my coats a little big. It is so lightweight, and does not feel bulky. My daughter wants one with omni-tech now. It is super warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected Love, love, love this jacket! Fit is great and it's very lightweight. Keeps me warm on cold days, but don't get too hot while in the car or if I run indoors wearing it- so it breathes well!
Date published: 2016-02-27
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Little to tight Love the color. It fit a little too snug with the liner in. I would prefer some more exterior pockets like the men's style. Returning it, will need a bigger women's size or maybe get a men's
Date published: 2016-02-26
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product but... There is a inside zip pocket at chest level, but I miss having one on the outside for my keys. It is inconvenient (and possibly cold and/or wet) to have to unzipped the jacket to reach the inside pocket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderful jacket It was what I was expecting and I love the color but if I could have ordered 2x I would have but I really like it any way and thank you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A bit small but able to work around After reading the reviews I originally ordered a size up. When I got that jacket, it was really too big and will be going back so I reordered down a size. When I get that jacket I understood what people were saying about it running small. What I found with the smaller jacket was that the arms are still too long, I don't believe that I have short arms. So when I push the sleeves up the extra fabric makes the jacket bulky. Solution: The inner fleece on it's own fits nicely, I just turn up the sleeves an inch or two. I also find that not zipping it into the shell makes it less bulky on the rest of my body. I also love that I can wear the shell over my Benton springs fleece. As for warmth, I wore this last weekend sailing. 40 to 50 degrees on the water feels 5 to 10 degrees cooler and I was plenty warm. I expect you'd want something warmer when it gets to the 5 to 10 degree range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome all around coat I wear a size 18-20 and this 3XL just does fit me. I love Columbia quality through and wanted a new snow coat. The macaw blue and bright pink is very vibrant. Not low key by no means. The reflective coating on the inside of the coat for heat is really awesome but my shirt sleeves do not side in and out as well as my old Columbia interchange coat which was more comfortable. Very pretty well made coat through.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waaaaarrrrmmmm! Believe it or not, it can get really cold in Florida. As a result I bought this jacket. Separately the liner and the shell are nice light jackets, and the shell makes a great windbreaker. When I put them together I have a nice warm jacket for the few days a year that are bone- chilling cold. The quality is great and I expect to be wearing this jacket for many, many years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Look & Fit! I love my new Columbia jacket! It fits perfect and the bright plum is so pretty. I like the fact the the Bugaboo jacket can be used as a warm coat, or a lighter layer that will keep you dry. I can't wait to use it on my upcoming trip to Iceland.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Coat I'm very impressed with this coat. It's pretty neat being a 3 in 1 to begin with but what has won me over is how warm it keeps me and how it blocks the wind from even getting through the material. It's water proof too and I have to say it was nice not having the water soak through the materiale specially the ice/sleet when it melts. It fits snug but I'm still able to move around as if I didnt have it on. Very Nice Coat and well worth the penny spent.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too small I should have listened to other reviewers. This item was way too small in the shoulders and arms. I couldn't even get it on, and it was a 3X and I normally wear 2X. Columbia, I hope you realize that when people wear a 3X, they are usually fat, and that means fat arms. Sent it right back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jacket Overall I enjoy the jacket. So far I've worn mostly the fleece portion. We only had enough cold to justify both layers on a few days. It's much easier to put the layers together than other pieces I've tried and when put together, you can't tell it's a 2-piece. It's comfortable and roomy, but if you plan to layer (I live in the south...we don't do much of that) you might want to order a size up. I would recommend this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent jacket Based on the other comments I thought this jacket would run on the small size. I am a tall lady and have a hard time finding a jacket that is the right length for me. Most jackets end up to short in either the length or the wrists. For me I feel it runs true to size. I originally got a 2 sizes larger thinking it was going to be smaller and I wanted room to be able to wear a sweater underneath it as well. The only thing I wish is that the arms were a little larger. When I exchanged my jacket for a smaller size, the arms a little tighter than I would of thought if I bend my arms repeatedly. I don't think it will be an issue though. I believe it's going to work out great. The jacket is very warm and comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Columbia Jacket I am pleased with my new Columbia coat as I have been looking for a plus size Columbia coat for quite sometime. Coat is light weight and windproof. The cost though was a bit more than I really wanted to pay. Could have more color selections in plus sizes. Suggestion would be to have the white piping be reflective at night.
