Women’s Cascades Explorer™ Pant is rated out of 5 by 31.
Rated 1 out of 5 by MichelleK from YUK Wasn't impressed with these pants at all!! I normally wear a medium or size 10. I ordered a 14 anticipating they would run small. The 14 was tight! The are scratchy and the regular length was way to long. Completely disappointed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Shovelbum from Runs small Unfortunately I had to return them because they ran about a size smaller than my normal size. If I had kept them, they were thin and light weight which would be perfect for working outside in the summer, which is what I would have used them for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Patty80 from Great lightweight pants I've been looking for lightweight pants to wear while hiking in the summer, that would keep me as cool as wearing shorts but would also protect my legs from bugs and scratches. These are those pants! The fabric is thin like a parachute but also strong. The articulated knees are great for walking or climbing hills, and the pockets are very handy. The attached belt helps you fine-tune the waist for comfort. These definitely run small, I had to go up a size. FYI, I'm 5'7" and weigh 160, and have always worn size 12 in Columbia pants, but the waist was too small so I went to a 14.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Katey from These pants feel great. The pants fit well except in the waist. They are a little big, but the adjustable belt fixes that and is really convenient. I haven't had a chance to wear them out yet, but I'm guessing they'll be great for hiking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by elizab from Great Lightweight Pant I bought this pant in the colors Fossil & Gravel (LOVE the Gravel color!). It's true these pants run small, but I ordered one size up & they fit fine. I'm pear shaped, but I feel I have enough leg room to bend, etc. I like the belt as my waist is smaller - these pants won't sag! I live in Florida so the lightweight material is great while outdoors. It's a great buy!

Rated 2 out of 5 by evelyn64 from Long Inseam - Poor Fabric I am 5'11" with long legs, and I can happily report that these pants in a long inseam were long enough for me. I'm usually between a size 2 and 4 because I have a small waist and larger hips, but I found the 4 to be larger than I was expecting based on the size chart, and the pants are slightly baggy on me. I do not like the fabric of these pants at all. It is very thin, wrinkles easily, and gets a static charge with even the slightest movement. As a result, these pants pick up pet hair like crazy. If these pants were available in a more sturdy wrinkle and static resistant fabric, I would have given them a higher rating. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 3 out of 5 by NotAnymore from Thin Material, Limited Movement I ordered three different pants with different cuts but same size from Columbia. My weight tends to settle more on my hips, thighs, and calves. Of the three these were okay around the waist but lifting my knees or easing into a squat resulted in limited movement. If I had gone up a size I don't think the waist would have fit well enough to truly be useful. The fabric is incredibly thin and I don't trust wearing these to anything other than a quick stroll on a bike trail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TallgirlBC from Finally - the right pants for me I haven't worn these outdoors yet (no rain this summer) but I love them. I am nearly 6 feet tall, and I have never found a pair of hiking pants that were long enough before these. I read the other reviews and sized up, and they fit perfectly. Thanks Columbia for making a "long" option! (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 3 out of 5 by L0R3N from Tall Girl Troubles I was so excited to get these pants in the mail, because the inseam promised to fit my long legs. The fabric was nice, leg length spot on for a girl of 6'2" (very leggy) and overall look was great. I'm normally a 13-14 but the waste band on these in a 14 was uncomfortable and the legs too tight when bending/moving. my legs aren't overly thick/sticky either so I think this are better suited to those with very slim legs. I would definitely order these pants a size up if you are getting them, but mine will have to go back, unfortunately. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ckieler from Love this pant As other reviewers might have mentioned. Make sure to size up one size if you want a comfortable fit. I typically wear size 6/8 in most pant sizes. Bought this one in a 10 and it fits perfectly. Very nice looking. Will see how it holds up for my next upcoming hiking trip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Gairis from Nice travel pants Pros: look nice, fit well, good features, packs very small, comfy. Cons: wrinkles more than some other brands, pocket design lacking what some others offer. Fabric lacks compared to 'parachute' cloth

Rated 4 out of 5 by Pearlmama from Ordered a bigger size but turns out keeping I am 7 month postpartum with my second child. I previously ordered two Columbia pants of different style in size 8 and they served me well. I bought this pants with web special and thought it would work until I lose my pregnancy weight. I accidentally ordered one size up and wanted to return it. When I got it in the mail, it turns out fitting me. I like the belt came with it, which prevent my pants from falling down. The material looks kinda cheap but for the price I paid, it's worth keeping.

Rated 3 out of 5 by garbagetruck from Beautiful pants... BUT -- I usually wear a 6. Reviews said "they run small" so I ordered an 8. I am returning them now because I think a comfortable fit might be a 12...but I don't want the hassles of shipping and replacing and...

Rated 4 out of 5 by Oakbank55Plus from Great Pant for Walking and Casual Wear These pants are great for my daily walks. I have a pair in black and they're sturdy, yet light, and fit comfortably without being baggy. They are even nice enough to wear for a casual evening out. I have a size 4 regular, which fit a bit long for my 5' 3 3/4" height, but they can be easily hemmed. Wish you had more colours available, as they are a super reliable "go to" pant for the summer. Rated 4 out of 5 by Bertie43 from Good Choice When I ordered these outdoor pants the description recommended that I order a size up. Since I wanted a comfortable fit for outdoor activities I decided to do that. It was a good choice for me. I wanted to be able to enjoy hiking in the outdoors. They are a bit loose but feel good. The fabric is of good quality and the color is a bit lighter than indicated on site and I like the shade very much. The belt would not be my choice but the pants can be worn without it. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RosieTheRiveter from Workaholic Pants I bought these pants because I work in construction and am outside a majority of my days. They are comfortable and breathable, and also very professional looking when I am in the field.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tennessean from Small in waist i bought these for plane travel rather than hiking. Usually a 14 fits perfectly but I exchanged these for a 16 and the waist is still tight. The hips and thighs are loose so these are made for an hour-glass figure. They are really good looking though. Maybe if I hike in them my waist will shrink.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GoPower from Very nice all purpose pants The only reason these pants score a 4 out of 5 is that they run a little small. I am a size 8 and they are tight but not so tight that I'd want to get a larger size. The material is very nice and light weight, the length is good, and these pants have lots of pockets. They are useful for travel but also for hiking. If they were just a little wider at the bottom, they could be rolled up but that's not the case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HomeInMontana from Great fit! Ordered two pairs - the first one I ordered a size up after reading reviews. They were larger than I normally like so ordered the 2nd pair in my normal size 10. Lots of functional pockets, comfortable waist and nice fabric.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BarbJ from Needs better pockets I like these pants, I got them because they have a "classic waist". Sadly almost none of your pants have a classic waist any more. I suspect you are going for fashion not function. The pants run small, I had to get the next larger size, but that's OK. The pants fit well. The front pockets are useless, far too small to carry anything at all, not even hands. That's unfortunate, because I'd like to carry things in those pockets when I go exploring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Melisande from Perfection. MUST HAVE MORE COLORS! These pants fit better than any pants I've bought in the last 20 years. Amazing! Please please please get them in more colors! I'm 5'11" and bought a size 12L (I'm in between a 10 and 12 usually). The 12 is just perfect--not binding anywhere and not too loose anywhere either. I usually have trouble finding a rise that fits right because I'm long all over--but this is perfect. The fabric is so light that it feels like wearing nothing--perfect for the hot Texas summers. Bonus: makes my rear end look amazing. Can't believe the perfection.
