Rated 5 out of 5 by bigbuffalo from Bought as a gift for a family member. They were pleased with it. I like the quality of Columbia apparel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nadine from Warm and Light Weight Jacket Got this before moving to Germany and needed a warm jacket that also holds up in the rain. So far it hasn't let me down. Keeps me warm in 30 degree weather with light rain. Walk a lot so that may be a contributing factor. Very light weight. Ended up taking the fur off the hood as it just made my face itchy. The color is actually a dark grey with the bottom material more of a black color. I usually size up on jackets so I can layer. Would be nice to have the warming material in the arm sleeves as well. But over all a good product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kathrynNJ from Great for NJ winters Ordered pond... just a little different color than I expected. Otherwise great for winters in NJ.. runs smaller than I expected, I have owned several Columbia jackets in size medium and found them to fit perfect, this was a little tight around my hips more than anything else (but I have larger than average hips).

Rated 4 out of 5 by kc89 from Great for snowboarding I usually wear a small but bought a medium so I could layer up underneath. The length is great for riding the chair lifts since it doesn't ride up. Definitely kept me warm in snowy, Breckenridge, Colorado conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ohiomom2 from Very Flattering coat I've only had this coat for about one month, and I've had endless compliments on it already. I went with the nocturnal color which is a beautiful dark blue. It is very warm for our cold Ohio winters. It is also great for that wet snow we get since it is waterproof. I love the length, it is very flattering. Great quality so far, the last Columbia coat I bought lasted me 8 years. The quality is worth the price, especially for a every day coat that gets more use. More than enough pockets. The only thing I would change is that the fur on the hood does not wrap around very far so it looks a little funny when the hood is up, but I usually have it down anyways. I am 5'4" and around 120-125, size small fits perfect.

Rated 3 out of 5 by alee20 from Measurements off I wanted to love this jacket. The style was more on the casual side and exactly what I wanted. I ordered my normal Columbia size and the arms were huge. It was super long and looked like i could had fit two arms into one. Like another commenter said, if you use the cuff to make the hand opening smaller it only makes it look like I'm the hulk with ridiculously big arm. Its not proportional at all.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Beth05 from Interesting chose of material It is hard to see in the picture but this coat has multiple black fabrics being used. I don't like how the change in fabric cuts right across the bottom. The styling of this coat was not very flattering.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Wilson from Runs small I find that most Columbia items are typically the same- I am proportional but the items as you reach XL don't take into account you will have larger hips and a larger bust. This was a nice coat and I was pretty bummed that it was one of the ones that is just too tight to be consistently comfortable around the bust and the hips area and I have a derrière and hips that equate to my size. Columbia seems to be the only jacket that I am plus size, and I learned that lesson with this coat and a rain coat later on. They do allow room for arms and wider shoulders though, which I appreciate as it allows much better freedom of movement than most.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Cateisme from Not for cold, windy weather. This is a nice coat, however it is not insulated well enough for lower than the 40's. In my opinion, its a good coat for rainy cool days, but definitely not for cold days and especially not for cold, windy days. The wind takes all the warmth right out of this coat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by adamso from overall nice jacket I love the jacket its very warm and made well. The only thing I would change is the hood runs a little small if you want to wear a helmet underneath.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ash123 from Looks good and very warm I have received many compliments on this coat since I got it a couple weeks ago. It has proved to be very warm for outdoor activities. I even wore it ice fishing and was comfortable the whole time. However, I would recommend considering going up a size if you plan on wearing this coat with layers underneath because it is more form fitting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tessie from wonderful warm and lightweight Parka with style I bought an XL, am tall and strong boned female, not fat. It fits perfect. I like my jackets a bit loose, so I can move freely. Tried a large, but it seemed a bit tight, so now I am comfortable with this Jacket. I walk lots in the woods with my dog. Hope to use the jacket when snow-shoeing as well. It is super warm and light weight! I walk with open vents these days. I like all the pockets, they are large and deep. There is one inside chest pocket. The insulation struck me unusual at first. It looks like cellophane lining. I gather it is the insulation. What initially attracted me to this jacket besides the 'pond' color is the stitching design at the lower part. Very nice. It is a well thought out jacket, which is very warm but not bulky. Thanks you

Rated 4 out of 5 by cjc3 from Would be warmer with a tighter fit This jacket looks great and has a ton of features that are awesome for commuting in Portland, but the fit is very large. The sleeves are especially baggy up top, but also near the cuff. There is Velcro to pull in the cuffs, but then the sleeves look even bulkier. This jacket could really benefit from some interior tightening or something. My heat escapes because of how loose it is. I'm 5'5" 110lbs and always perfectly fit into a Columbia XS, but this is different for some reason.

Rated 5 out of 5 by faeriegirl from Stylish & Functional I love this coat! It fits great and keeps me warm but doesn't overheat as most winter coats do, also is not bulky at all. The hidden zippered underarm vents are great for keeping me cool as I run warm. Tons of fleece lined pockets & the inner thumb holed comfort cuffs are added bonus! I love that it's stylish enough to be both somewhat dressy and yet has all the functionality of a ski coat. The nylon canvas outer material is very attractive and the lower panel with slightly different coloured material adds great contrast and is long enough to cover and keep bum warm. The fur lined hood adds a ton of warmth and wind protection and is very plush and soft for a synthetic. Its everything I want in a winter coat; I can wear it as both a stylish casual coat for in the city but also out being active in winter sports. Definetly earns 5 ☆s.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hikingisfun from Great City Jacket I am 5ft and 100lbs and some times XS is too big on me but this jacket first perfectly. I live in Portland but I'm always cold so I wanted something that would be good for rain as well. Every time I have worn this jacket I get compliments!
