Rated 5 out of 5 by Cindy35 from Not just a Hiking boot but can be used as a Winter Boot This is a very good boot. It is comfortable to wear everyday. But it is warm and gives great traction on ice during the winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HAHhiker from Comfy Hiker This shoe is very comfy just like my other Columbia light hikers. This is my 1st Columbia mid rise light hiker. I am a true size 8.5 and ordered 8.5 and it fits just right. I always take out the insoles and replace with more comfy ones and this shoe allows that and it works. Lightweight but ankle support and immediate comfort. I have the lavender color since on sale and it is a bit early 1980's retro color....but I don't mind for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bitvoy from Extremely comfortable I just received them and haven't been hiking with them yet, but after a couple of days of city-walking, I love these boots. They're warm and very comfortable. They don't have any seams that rub, especially on the heel, which is a problem with a lot of boots. They feel like a pair of athletic shoes. They're also cute and did well in the rain. I ordered the same size that I buy in athletic shoes, and even with hiking socks, they fit perfectly. As others mentioned, they are very warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lenchezzz from Very comfortable shoes! Although these are Very comfortable, very warm (i think might be even good for winter) they are a little bit too hot. After a day of walking in them my feet were like from a sauna and in the end of the day i stated to slip in them, my feet slip inside and i hurt my heel. Funny enough i didn't think it's possible to get callus in That place of the heel, but it is. Still a great boot though! Except that callus it was perfect! Walked a whole day and legs was not hurting! PS. They look just great for the city! Not too much sport style but very casual! I do love them! (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by lori29 from Needed to size down I noticed that there are several reviews that suggest to size up. I decided to order my regular shoe size which is 6.5. They were too big. So I ordered a half size down 6 and they fit perfectly. I got them to wear in the rain when commuting to work. I have not tested out the dryness, but they are VERY warm. So far the correct size has been comfortable. I have not worn anything above my ankle in years. I was worried after testing out the 6.5 that these would not work out. Once I got the correct size, that worry was quelled. Fits very well and is comfy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kathl from Love this shoe Years ago I bought a similar lightweight boot for a summer long camping and hiking vacation. I continued to wear them casually until they were completely worn out. I looked everywhere for a new pair and finally I found them! After the first pair arrived, I was so impressed I had to order another in a different color. Please never stop making these boots!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ashhhx13 from Great shoe -order half size up! I love these boots, they aren’t as bulky as the typical hiking boot which is the reason i ordered them. I usually wear an 8 but I ordered an 8.5 due to other reviews and they fit perfect. Definitely size up!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Taylor1216 from Light weight boot I was in the market for a light weight boot that was functional/comfortable like a tennis shoe but gave more support like a boot. This shoe was right on the money, and made out of durable material. Wore them first day out on a couple mile hike and didn't get any blisters. Worth mentioning, a lot of people on these reviews said to order a size up. I normally wear a 9 in tennis shoes so I originally ordered 9.5, was too big ended up returning and ordering a 9.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Newfita from Quality and comfort I read the reviews and opted to size up a half size, as a result these boots fit perfectly. I find Columbia to fit a bit wider but a little adjusting of the laces seems to correct that quickly. The cushioning in the heel of these boots adds an extra layer of comfort that I really appreciate. Additionally, these looks really sharp! Very please with my purchase. Rated 4 out of 5 by sophiac from Happy! These are great hiking boots! Definitely going to take a little time to break them in, but that's a given. I love the purple color, and they have a nice tread on them for hiking. They definitely run a little on the smaller size. I am usually a 9.5 but ordered a 10 and am very happy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by HikingGirl82 from fire venture mid boots Dark raspberry corange color is very nice! These shoes runs a little small ( I usually buy 8,5 , so I bought 9 and they fit perfect). They seems to be comfortable and they are really lightweight and this is very important when you hike!. Soon I'm gonna check if they are really waterproof! . Overall I'm glad with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lettyb1gal from Comfortable from first wear My love affair with Columbia products actually began when my husband bought a pair of your hiking books. His raving comments on comfort and support prompted me to look for a pair. What drew me to the Fire Ventures was the color! I am so happy with these lovely boots. These too proved to be comfortable from first wear. My new Fire Ventures provide good support for ankles, are waterproof and soles allow nice traction on the gravelly trails. Awesome technology and beautiful colors!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Laura628 from Great hiking boots I've been in the market for a new pair of hiking boots for awhile and finally decided to get these. They are great for a few hours of hiking - lots of cushioning and support. I liked how the ankle support is there yet you still have plenty of flexibility. Only thing I noticed is, on the downhill, my toes kept hitting the front of the boot. Might be because the boots are a bit too small (they run a little small). Other than that, no complaints. A great set of boots!

Rated 5 out of 5 by SMCinOakland from Brand New - Trekked 10 miles day 1 Very comfy & who doesn't love raspberry boots that are actually warm & waterproof! Used for a week trekking in Patagonia with no break-in period. My feet were never cold or wet even when we hit snow flurries! Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Blobby from Tested the waterproof and it worked! These boots are great for if you have a rambunctious puppy that loves water and wants to pull you into a creek! (see picture) I've been on a few hikes with these boots and have had no sore spots and have walked in water multiple times. My socks always stayed dry. I got the Magenta ones and I love the color. I normally wear a size 8.5 shoe and got a 9 in these shoes. I was skeptical because I typically like my toes to touch the end of my shoes but after reading reviews and guides for hiking boot fitting I came to realize that with hiking boots your toes shouldn't touch. My toes do not touch the end in the size 9. Like I said though, no sore spots or blisters after a few 2-3 hour hikes. Have not tested them on longer treks or multiple day ventures.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GRich2477 from Cautiously Optimistic After the water proofing on a different pair of Columbia boots failed I sent them in and the Columbia customer service department was wonderful! They were prompt and very easy to communicate with, giving me a full refund on my old pair. With that money I decided to give these a shot, I haven't fully tested them yet but so far they are definitely very comfortable and seem like they will fit the bill nicely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Drjulie from Love the purple Love the purple The shoe is of high quality and very comfortable. The only thing that would've made it a little better would be more cushioning. Hopefully it'll last a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Clarichala from Stylish and ligh hiking boots I Usually have trouble finding a nice pair of hiking boots because they are either too heavy for me or too ugly. But this pair of boots has neither of those problems. They are very comfortable , very light on my feet and they are beautiful. The previewed reviews are right on the size though I am usually a 7 1/2 but I bought size 8 and the fit is perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BB1234 from Cute and Comfy I purchased these boots for an upcoming hiking trip to the Olympic National Forrest - I currently own a pair of Columbia hiking shoes that I am seriously in love with (the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn) but they are not water proof at all so for long hikes in a rainforest environment I need something that will keep my feet dry and not hurting after 15 miles. I hadn't tested them in the rain yet but as far as comfort they feel great - it only took about a week of normal wear to break them in. There is no rubbing or pinching, very comfortable even with thinner socks. I normally wear between a 7.5 and 8 in shoes and found that the 8 fit perfectly. These boots are also pretty light weight, keeping your feet cool in warmer weather. I would not recommend as a good winter boot. Overall very happy with the purchase - Can't want to get them dirty in Washington.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LizzieThai from Stay Dry in THESE boots! Love these hiking boots! Been in the mud with them and I'm extreme down pours and I've stayed dry! The mud actually cleans off quite nicely too, leaving a modest stain of that. I originally bought them for snowshoeing and they are working well for me in this regard as well. Can't complain!

Rated 5 out of 5 by jw89 from Very sturdy and comfy These shoes not only serve its purpose as comfy hiking shoes, they definitely make a statement of trend and beauty, i got a lot of compliments on them. These shoes run a bit small, get half a size up for extra comfort especially if you like wearing thick socks. I am glad i got half size up, the shoes are quite fitted so you can lace them tighter for thinner socks. You will want to wear them in before going on hiking or long walking trips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by tallKate from mail-order happiness They're waterproof, high top, cute (husband says they make my feet look small, and when you wear size 12 that's saying something!) and comfortable. Only improvement I would wish for: more arch support/sole cushioning. To avoid foot fatigue I did have to add a pair of good inserts, but found them (with inserts) easy to wear for extended periods of time. I'm sixty and walk a lot, mostly sidewalks and dirt walking trails, so can't speak for more challenging outdoor activity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MsEngineer from great field boots I wore these boots on a levee repair job site where i had to walk up and down the slope several times. The slope was heavily vegetated with grass, weeds, and shrubs; and was soaked from the recent storms. The traction on these boots was awesome. I caught myself sliding a few times but the boots saved me from falling down. As a female working in a field dominated by men... I pride myself for being able to keep up with the guys and not falling on my butt. TRUE STORY. I love that the boots are waterproof and lightweight! Now if only they're mud resistant............ they would be perfect!!!
