Women’s Hexbreaker™ II Down Jacket is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 60.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed results This coat is very warm but the zippers have constantly been an issue. A zipper on the pocket is completely busted and the main zipper constantly gets stuck. I'm frequently having to wiggle out of this coat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm, but watch the pocket zippers Like most people, when the polar vortex hit, I scrambled to find a longer & warmer jacket. Although I wish Columbia carried petite sizes, this jacket is great. It hit me at the knees, the collar covered my neck and the knit cuffs on the sleeves helped it from looking too long on my arms. I am pear-shaped and while the jacket fit perfectly on the top, it was was a bit snug at the bottom (not Columbia's issue but mine!). The only issue I had (repeatedly) was that the pocket zippers kept coming apart. Fortunately I am comfortable with fixing zippers & handy with a needle & thread to sew the ends together to prevent future separation, but it's disappointing that I had to do that in the first place after spending that much money on a coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great jacket Needed a longer, warm jacket with a hood for this never ending winter. Ordered the jacket in white and love everything about it! It's not bulky and the style is great. I agree that it runs somewhat small, especially if you plan to wear something heavy underneath. It has kept me warm so far in the '20's feels like single digit' weather! Haven't worn it in the snow or rain, but hope it stays relatively dry. Like the longer cuffs because the help to keep my hands warm

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great winter jacket for Minnesota I love this coat! It looks great and keeps me toasty warm. The arms are a bit long, but I don't think it's noticeable to any one else but me. If you do have longer arms..this coat would be perfect for you. I am 5' 4" and 125 lbs. The only negative thing I could say about this coat is that I have had zipper trouble..but it's not enough for me to return this awesome coat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very warm, light and good quality of materials used I would definitely recommend people to buy this down jacket as it keeps me warm during -13 Fahrenheit in Midland, MI. I can walk for more than 15 minutes in the a very cold weather from my hostel to campus every day. I loves to put my hands in the pockets and they keep my hands warm with a pair of thin gloves. It's easy to clean off dirt on the jacket by wiping it with a wet cloth. I bought a XL size jacket and it fits well when I'm wearing a few layers underneath the jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Jacket as it is long enough to cover the seat of your pants! This jacket is very attractive on. I do not look like a stuffed pig! Glad I ordered a size larger than usual as it does run small. It is light weight but warm. Hope to have many good years of use from this perfect jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from omni heat reflective lining This coat is much warmer than I thought it would be. I was able to stay warm during this frigid cold winter in NYC while only wearing a light shirt under the coat. The omni heat reflective lining really added warmth to the coat. I am 5'7" , 130 pounds and bought a medium size which fit fine leaving a bit of room for a heavy sweater which I really never needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mostly satisfied I love the fit and look of the jacket. It is very warm. But I have been having a bit of trouble with the zipper from day 1. It is a struggle to get it started to go up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Jacket This jacket has been helping me survive the Snowpocalypse of Boston. Highlights: *) Comfortable frozen bench sitting and butt coverage *) Awesome hood that blocks wind, rain and snow *) No need for gloves with the tight wrist sleeves and omni-heat inside Lowlights: *) Loss of peripheral vision when wearing the hood *) Probably can't wear it year-round Honestly, you don't have much to lose when buying this amazing jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Functional and cute The jacket fits perfect. It is extremely warm and has a nice slim fit through the torso.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat I've only had this jacket about 2 weeks, but I got it just in time for a big dump of snow and some cold weather. I am about 5'4" and 125lbs and ordered the medium because I have wide shoulders; it fits perfectly. The knit cuff around the wrist of the sleeve can make the sleeves seem too long at first, but the tight knit material keeps the cold out. In terms of length, in front it hits just at the top of the knee; it's a bit longer in back, hitting just at the bottom of the back of my knees.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thin, light and warm This is a perfect jacket for travel (light weight) and for everyday for temperatures below 40 degree F. I love the interior silver lining, really cool. It's pricey--but you get what you pay for. I had my other puffer jacket for 10 years and replaced it with this new Columbia coat. I figure that I'll have this one for the next ten years. It has all appearances of a sturdy, fashion forward, toasty-warm quality coat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Smaller Than Average + Cost to Ship Return This is a great product - no doubt. It is well made and warm It comes to right around or above the knees, so if you are looking for the longer coat, this one is not it. It will cover the tops of your thighs only. The product runs small. We got it for my mom who fits a large very comfortable in every other coat, with sweaters underneath or layers. However, this fit her super tight just in a t-shirt to the point that it was hard to zip. Additionally, Columbia offers easy returns, but you do have to pay for return shipping. So beware of that, it is not so simple to return.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beating the Cold. Overall I'm very pleased with this coat. I'm 5'7'' and 145lbs. according to the size guide I was in between a Medium and a Large. I took the advice from others reviews that the coat runs small and purchased a Large. I got the right size! I was surprised to try it on, with a sweater, and find it fit perfectly. (I thought the Large was going to be very big.) I live in Chicago and spend time in Minnesota and Canada and purchased this coat to keep warm in the sub zero temps. This coat keeps me very warm, even on long walks. The hood is great at keeping the wind out, however I'm still trying to figure out the cinch around the face to tighten the hood. Shoulders are broad and comfortable. The sleeves are longer than most coats and with it's elastic cuffs, it keeps the cold from creeping up your arms. Like other reviews, I also found the zipper challenging the first several times of using it. I think because it is a double zipper you have to be careful to have everything squeezed together and lined up, then give the zipper a little push while you're tugging up on it and away it goes. I would've preferred the teeth of the zipper to be made of metal. It's made of plastic and I'm concerned it's not going to hold up to all the tugging it requires to work over the years. I do like having the double zipper though. Having young children and bending down to help them with their boots and things, I can unzip the bottom zipper up a bit to give me room to squat down and help them without having to take my coat off. The coat has a nice shape to it in the waist, so you're not completely lost in this coat. The bottom of the coat lands about 4 inches above my knee. I would've also preferred this coat to be about 6 inches longer to help keep the legs a little bit more warm. I also like that this coat is light weight and not overly bulky. The pockets on the sides are small with zippers; enough room for keys or a cell phone. There are also secret pockets on the inside of the coat that are more deep. This is a great coat. For the price, I think some improvements could be made on it. I'm happy with my purchase and have received several compliments that it was a nice looking coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my new jacket I absolutely LOVE my new jacket! It is comfortable, soft, and does a great job at keeping the cold out. The length is perfect for covering the waist and upper thighs and the hood covers the head great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best coat I've ever owned! I absolutely LOVE this winter coat. I walk my dog about an hour a day regardless of weather conditions, and especially in this winter, it has been a life saver. It is worth double what I paid for it. It is SO warm and I have worn it in negative temperatures as well as pouring rain and it has kept me warm and dry! The fit is perfect for me. I got a medium and I am 5'10" with longer arms. I can easily layer underneath it (not that it is necessary). The arms are plently long and can even go to the middle of my palms if I allow. They also bunch up nicely if you need to use your hands. I would say this coat is true to size and I would highly recommend it!

Love the hood it is a great fit and protective from weather

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING I love this, i had a winter coat for over six years just because i couldn't find one as warm. Then i went to a columbia store in Mall of America and i was amazed. i looked around and found this amazing one, but they didn't have my size. i search 16 different store for a winter coat and none of them came even close to this. I got mine online and delivery was amazing fast too. i wear this coat every single day and absolutely love!!!! its not only warm, but stylish too. so glad i waited to find this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm & lightweight without all the bulk I own other omni tech jackets but needed something long with down for this brutally cold winter-this worked great. Bought it one size bigger based on other reviews and it is perfect for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thin, but Incredibly Warm When it first came in the mail, I was concerned at how thin the package was. I've never needed a down coat before (lived in the fl). But this coat is super warm, and the thinness is actually a great feature. It's flattering, rain/snow resistant, and toasty. Other people say the sleeves run long, but at 5'10", I liked the length. I did have a problem with the left pocket zipper breaking, but I fixed it with 20 minutes and a sewing kit. Overall, fantastic coat. Definitely a worthy purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best winter coat This is by far the best winter coat I have purchased. It is extremely warm and yet when I have to run in a store I don't overheat. Only wish I had purchased this coat a long time ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally a Warm Jacket My Fashion Conscious Daughter Will Wear My 25 year old daughter is very attentive to the style of every garment. She will forsake comfort for it. On a recent trip to a local city on a bitterly cold day, my heart went out to her shivering in a woolen pea coat as we walked the windy streets. I resolved to find her a warm yet fashionable coat she would be happy to wear. I surprised her with this coat and she was THRILLED! It fit perfectly, was extremely warm and she loved the length and style. She wears it every day to work and out on dates. The coat was a big hit and mama's happy that she's comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps my baby warm and dry in sub zero temps I bought this coat for my daughter who is away in college. It has been especially cold (sub-zero) often and she was miserable. When she got the coat, she said it was the warmest coat she has ever had. She paid us a surprise visit for Valentine's Day and I was surprised at how thin it looked. The reflective lining really does its job. She doesn't feel or look like the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man but stays warm and dry. She loves it, so I love it. After reading the reviews I did buy one size larger than she wears and it was a perfect fit!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldnt ask for more! After searching high and low for a longer down jacket at the mall, with no luck I decided I needed to order one online, did a little research and decided that a Columbia would be the best fit for me (I have also had them in the past-love the quality). I found this jacket and read the reviews, I decided this was the one for me. It does run a little large- I am usually a medium (140 lbs and 5'5") but I went with the large just for some breathing room if I wore a bulky sweater or something. I have been happy with my choice, I will say the sleeves are pretty long but not a huge deal, and i can feel the extra space the large provides but at the same time it keeps all the cold air out. This jacket has kept me warm in these negative temps, i can go out in -20 weather with just a blouse on underneath and not feel a bit of cold! I would certainly recommend this jacket to anyone who has to brave these cold winters, its worth it! I have to say it is absolutely wonderful to have such a high quality jacket to keep me warm! Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat This coat is awesome! The longer length is functional, and yet still stylish. Omni-heat keeps you warm without the bulk. And though it is a down coat, it is still quite slimming. The sleeves weren't as long as I had expected based on other reviews, but still fit my long arms. And it does run a little small compared to other brands, but not enough that I would have considered returning it. I was a little put off by the price at first, but I can say that this coat was worth every penny!! I would absolutely recommend this coat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Will keep you warm! If you want a very warm coat, this is it. Works extremely well in single digit and below zero temperature. Runs small and a bit narrow. My only complaint, because of the narrow fit I need to unzip the bottom slightly to make movement a bit easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did not disappoint I had a close friend recommend this jacket for cold weather days. I ordered it online and have not been disappointed. It is lightweight, fits the body well and functions perfectly. I am sometimes a medium and sometimes a small. The medium fit well for me. 5'8" and 140 lbs. Hope this helps!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and stylish I bought this for my daughter who will be going to University of Chicago in the fall. We gave it a test run this week, during the 5 degree weather/snow Chicago had. It was great! Kept her very warm. The fit was also very good. She is 5' 6" and weighs about 110 lbs. There was still plenty of room for her to layer under the coat. The cut of the coat is tapered in at the waist, so it's not boxy at all. I love that it has the dual zipper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket! We've had subzero temps and this jacket has kept me cozy. So warm and cute, too! We've had subzero temps and this jacket has kept me cozy.
Date published: 2014-02-10
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps you warm! Very very pleased with the jacket. Although I did notice one zip was broken which I don't really mind because I don't use that zip as it's one of the hand pockets and usually I just keep my hands in the pockets to keep them warm. I live in Boston so definitely need a jacket to keep me warm and I'm thrilled with it - the sleeves are fantastic as it has some cotton at the end and the pockets are also a nice material inside that will really keep your hands warm! Very highly recommended - Couldn't be happier. I usually wear either small or medium clothes but I got a medium which is perfect because you can still fit a sweatshirt easily underneath and not be tight but not loose either.
Date published: 2014-02-10
Rated 3 out of 5 by from All was great except for the sleeves I loved how the jacket fit through the body, the length and the fact that it was warm without the bulk. However, the sleeves were just too tight over the full length of the sleeve. The cuff was so bulky that that it pushed my mittens off. Sadly, I had to return the jacket.
Date published: 2014-02-10
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Little Narrow in Bust and Hips This jacket is not bulky and a great length. I have several Columbia jackets (can you ever have too many??) and always wear a small. But this one does run a bit narrow so I can't wear bulky sweaters under it. But it is getting me through the polar vortex walking to work so I am appreciative of the snug fit that is keeping out the wind. I also love that it has a great fitting hood that doesn't flop into my eyes.
Date published: 2014-02-10
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket Light weight, relaxed fit jacket provides comfort and warmth. It has been wonderful in the wind and 20 degrees and below temperatures. Fits a bit smaller than most large.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Get it on sale I absolutely love this jacket! As a college student I am out walking in the freezing cold every day. It's incredibly warm and I often wear it with only a long sleeve shirt underneath. However, several weeks after purchasing the product the left pocket zipper broke. Very disappointing, but still functional. It's been a great coat for the freezing past couple of weeks!
Date published: 2014-02-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Runs to small as others said I bought extra large believing that would fit me from other comments made. It was still too small, I gave it to my daughter, she loved the coat fit her perfect. She wears a Large. I still would love to purchase the same coat IF it would run true to size.
Date published: 2014-02-08
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Maybe not for buxom bosom or bootie women I returned ran way too small. If you buxom on top or bottom this is not the coat for you.
Date published: 2014-02-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket for tall and slim I can see why people say this jacket runs a little smaller. I am 5'6", thin build and small bust (34A) and this jacket fits me perfectly. The sleeves are quite long but i love that because I usually find my wrists freezing from that space between gloves and end of sleeve! Materials are great. Length is perfect for this winter chill. Love the knit cuff that keeps wind from going into the sleeves. Overall VERY satisfied with this product.
Date published: 2014-02-06
Rated 3 out of 5 by from very small and tight The jacket is nice quality but so not true to size. I wear medium but ordered large and it was very tight ad uncomfortable under my arms.
Date published: 2014-02-03
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this coat! I am 5'9" and 125 lbs (with long arms) and the Medium is a perfect fit. I live in Ohio and purchased this coat after experiencing the first "Polar Vortex" with temperatures in the negative digits. We're currently experiencing the second round with temperatures as low as -12 and the coat has been amazing! The sleeves have an additional elastic band that fits snug around the wrists, which doesn't allow any air to sneak in. The Omni Heat provides warmth without the additional bulk, so you can move easily in this coat and don't look like a marshmallow. I purchased the SEA SALT (off white) color and was a little nervous about it getting dirty, but the fabric wicks away moisture and dirt. It's perfect and I love it!
Date published: 2014-01-29
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the quality but sleeves are too long! I loved everything about this jacket except for the sleeves. They are way too long for me!! I wear large in all brands and after measuring myself, I ordered the same size for this. Sleeves end at the tip on my middle finger, so now I have to get it altered. The fit otherwise is perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trying to Survive this Winter and Look Good I bought this for school to survive the winter in Ann Arbor. Though I couldn't test it out during the first polar vortex because my flight was cancelled, I'm assured there will be one coming this week, which I am excited to test my coat in. So far I've used it in the 20 degree weather range and it works great! Mind you I would only wear a t-shirt underneath and I would be 100% comfy. Interestingly enough, I am still as comfy if I wear a sweatshirt too, not too warm. I imagine it will be fine in the negative degree range. It covers great and has fitted cuffs and also pull strings on the hood, very soft, nice pockets, easy to wash. Only complaint is that the sleeves are a bit long. Also, just a fact, not really a complaint, you will get hot in this jacket if you're just walking around indoors shopping, or something of that sorts. I bought it in Sea Salt, looks great. I didn't want to look like another black blob walking around, considering I have black snow boots, and considering that everyone has the long down jacket in black. I'm 5'3'' and 135 I got a Medium for room in the chest area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't wait for another cold snap ... ... Ridiculous I know but I'm dying to see how warm this coat keeps me in those single degree temperatures. Wearing it in the average cold temps, I don't feel such a need to layer underneath it because it's so well insulated. I thought of exchanging sizes because it does run a little small but changed my mind when I realized it's warmth.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from myvenus I do like this coat and it seems very warm. I wear a M top but ordered a L and it fit perfect. I did return it, but the only reason was because I wanted a long coat with a belt on it and that was more figure flattering to my smaller waste. But the coat is nice, I just wanted a different style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WONDERFUL COAT! I love this coat. It looks good, is comfortable and warm! Is a little too warm when in the car but otherwise I am very pleased and happy I purchased this coat! It does run small as others have indicated-I usually am a medium and the large fits well. I am 5'6" and 145 lbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Quality This is a perfect cold weather coat. High quality design, attention to details--extra length cuffs, slightly longer in back, easy to reach zippers, well fitting hood. I needed a medium although I am slightly over 100 lbs. I tried it on in the store before purchasing on line for the desired color.
