Women's Insect Blocker™ Plaid Long Sleeve Shirt is rated out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by csquaredsf from My hiking shirt of choice Light enough to wear even in the heat, offering coverage and sun protection; also does its job with the insects, as far as I can tell. I've worn these shirts in the High Sierras and on Canada's West Coast Trail, and they are my hiking shirts of choice for shorter day hikes. The fabric also dries very quickly. I hope Columbia continues to sell more of these. Bright colours are the best!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rockann from Insect Blocker Shirt Bought shirt to play golf. Worked great with plenty of room to swing. Played golf on the Texas gulf coast after rain and did not get one bite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Farmeranne from Too pretty for gardening I live in a hot humid climate and I am trying to tame a heavily wooded property. The chiggers, ticks, gnats, and mosquitoes have been merciless. I have removed more ticks from myself than I can remember. Not only does this shirt keep the bugs off but it also dries very quickly. The pockets are weightless and discreet. At 5'10" I can confirm that this shirt will cover the average lady's wrists with length to spare. I bought a size larger because I wanted plenty of room to bend and reach in comfort. I like this shirt so much that I don't want to get it dirty! Oh well, I guess I'll just have to get a few more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ATstretch13 from Looks good! The fit on this shirt is flattering and true to size. The plaid is a great pattern and looks good on. The sleeves fit perfectly when down but were tight when rolled up to "short sleeve", so I just bunched them up above my elbows and it was more comfortable. I wore this backpacking for 2 days. It kept me comfortable when it was cool and wicks well in the heat. I did sweat a lot and the shirt did not wick well when it was hot and very humid one morning, but I think that would have been the same in most shirts. There were a lot of mosquitoes at one campsite we stayed at. I had a mosquito land on my finger with the sleeves rolled down, but I guess this shirt is supposed to repel bugs on the shirt itself. A few times, random insects landed on the shirt itself (one was a beetle, the other was a little flying thing). My legs were bitten badly by mosquitoes, but nothing on my arms. I'm unsure if that had anything to do with the Insect Blocker or if it was the fact I had the sleeves down. Overview: I'd rate this about average as far as hiking shirts go. Looks are great, function is good, insect repelling is not as good as DEET.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AlkaliedAnnie from Fits well and seems to work! I actually have two of these shirts - one plaid and one orange. I've been wearing them out to weed. We live in the woods and I'm always surrounded by mosquitoes when I go out - and no matter how much I sprayed myself I always seemed to have bites. I've had this shirt about a month now and so far - no bites! They still hover, but so far none have landed (still spraying my jeans). This shirt is light weight (good for summer) and I appreciate the sun block capabilities as well. I feel protected wearing them. I also love the long length - if I bend over, my back isn't exposed. I usually wear a small but the medium of this shirt fits me well. It's also nice enough to wear for gatherings on our deck in the evenings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Spartina from Bug Shield shirt I've developed a sensitivity to all sorts of biting insects and am trying, this year, to keep the varmints away with Bug Shield shirts and pants. This means that for once in my life I look snappy and stylish while gardening even though I bought a larger size than usual for greater ease in squatting, reaching and so forth. I wish you carried Bug Shield women's socks.
