Rated 5 out of 5 by Marvel from Great Jacket I’d had my eyes on this jacket for a while and finally caught it on sale and bought it. So glad I did! It’s so comfortable and just warm enough for those chilly mornings. I really like the fact that it’s water resistant too so I can use it like a rain coat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by csa94 from Versatile and excellent quality, love this jacket! I love this jacket!! It does run a little large and because of that, may feel a little bulky. (Most of my jackets are L, so I bought this in a L, but would purchase a M next time.) The extra space is nice when layering with other coats in the winter, though. The inside is extremely soft, and the outer shell is excellent quality. The pockets are nice and spacious, and it also has inside pocket holes as well, which is nice. It’s very lightweight, yet holds true to what it’s meant to do. I love this jacket and it is my go-to for almost any type of weather. Worth every penny!

Rated 5 out of 5 by KZKotara from Tried and True I actually had to return/exchange for the right size (ordered wrong) which is disappointing on my part. But just like the rest of my Columbia gear it's awesome! I feel like you can never go wrong. Material doesn't absorb water and i love the fact that there is a hood for rainy or windy days

Rated 5 out of 5 by LisaInAZ from Very nice jacket! Light weight but blocks the wind well. It is plush lined and cut to flatter the figure. I found it ran small and sized up to an XL. ThIs jacket goes over your hips so keep that in mind when choosing your size. I also found that the sleeves were to long so I had to roll them up. Not a deal breaker though. I bought the red wine color, and it is beautiful. It is lined with a gray fuzzy plush material. For size reference, I am 160 lbs, 5’6 tall and 36DD. I purchased the size XL.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JanetRG from Love it! I live in southeastern VA, where winters are often moderate but it’s windy yearround. Most fleeces do not handle the wind well, but this softshell with hood does and is so versatile! Perfect for running errands in and out of rain & wind, but not overly warm or bulky in stores, etc. It’s my new go-to jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cedes07 from Amazing Jacket This is by far my favorite jacket from Columbia. The lining on the inside is nothing like I have seen in the past, it is incredibly soft & comfortable. I normally wear a large but after reading the reviews I ordered a size up, I dont like things tight and it is perfect. HIGHLY recommend!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Sandys from Not what I expected I was looking for a jacket to replace a favorite I’ve had for years (wasn’t Columbia) that’s not made anymore. This jacket was much thinner than I’d expected and it’s very loud due to the material of the shell. May be good for some but my sensitive hearing couldn’t take it. I returned it and bought the phurtec II softshell. I LOVE that one and I’m so happy I decided to try another Columbia jacket. It’s good in the rain and isn’t really a raincoat feel. Runs smaller than this but that’s perfect for me (XS and I’m 4’10” 100 lbs). The Kruser could be good for some but it didn’t suit my needs for warmth (but not too warm) and an everyday jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HollyD from Great Fit I do not like restricting jackets. This one has a fitted look and allows for some stretch so I do not feel confined or look like a box. The fleece lining is nice. Perfect Jacket for Houston's colder days. I bought the black. It isn't dressy but I wear it with my business attire and still looks nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mgarza from Great jacket Fast shipping and great jacket. I was a little skeptical of ordering online due to not knowing which size to choose but the measurement chart was very accurate unlike other brands. I am 5'3, 174 lbs and the XL fits great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Faith0 from Nice Jacket I ordered this jacket to serve as my "transition" jacket from fall to winter. The jacket turned out to be a good bit larger than I had anticipated. I ordered a medium (am 5'3, 130lbs) and thought that it would be optimal for layering. This would have been fine except that the sleeves were way too long for me. I think it also was a little thinner than I imagined it being but seemed very sturdy. I ended up finding something somewhere else and returning this one because of the size problems but it was overall a nice jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ColdInMN from As expected This coat is perfect for that fall, cool day. I have also worn it on rainy days and it keeps me warm and dry. The inner lining is nice and soft and keeps you warm but not hot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ana15 from Great Jacket! I bought this jacket for late Winter early Spring time.. I love how it breaks the wind and keeps you warm without making you feel so hot. The quality is great and it also keeps you dry during rain showers. I love it very much and recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Cubsgirl from Good basic jacket Was looking for a rain jacket that wasn't too bulky but could keep me warm at 45F. This one almost made the grade. It's comfortable, and a nice basic jacket, but not warm enough for 45F and too tailored to fit a layer under it. It could also use a little more styling, very soccer mom. For sizing, I'm 5'8" and 175LBS. A medium was tight on me and a Large was too big.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kafton from Columbia Jacket I just purchased this jacket a few days ago, haven't got to wear it in very cold weather yet but it's is so soft and seems warm. They fit is great but does run slightly small, I'm 5'3" and 125lbs I'm normally a S small but did get a M to be able to move around in it but in all love this jacket and glad I purchased it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by RAYBee32 from Love it !! Will admit at first I was definitely iffy about choosing such a light jacket. But it's really warm. Keeps wind out. Long enough to cover my back if a lot of movement is needed, which is always helpful. Best of all stretchy so that you could be comfortable thru your daily routines.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lisa47 from Very nice jacket The color is really pretty and definitely keeps the wind out. Not sure how warm it will be as I got it for fall and it hasn't been that cold yet. I ordered large so I could wear sweatshirts under it. I have a large in another Columbia coat so I just ordered the same.

Rated 3 out of 5 by ilovethecold from Nice jacket but doesn't breathe I bought this jacket as a replacement of a similar Columbia soft shell jacket I had bought years ago and where the zipper had irrevocably broken. I loved that old jacket and it served me well through many cold Ottawa winters hiking, skating, skiing and cycling in temperatures down to -36°C. I thought this new jacket would be as breathable as the old one but it isn't. It is windproof and water repellent and looks good, but the designers should have put in some vents somewhere because perspiration builds up especially on the upper back and no amount of moisture wicking under- and mid-layers can prevent me from feeling cold and clammy after wearing it for a short while. I am considering putting some zippers in the arm pits for ventilation. I like the clean and unfussy cut and the bold purple colour. Otherwise I would have returned it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Southerncali from Great jacket if you don't need a hood I really wanted to like this jacket. It's great in every way except for the hood. The hood is very short and barely covered my head. Also, since there is no way to cinch the hood, the first gust of wind would blow it right off. Having to return it for this reason

Rated 5 out of 5 by Melania from Sporty Jacket This product is well-fitting with a longer back and hood suitable for cooler, wet days. It has a cozy lining for warmth. It is not suitable for wearing anything heavy as a first layer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LaurelPDX from Exactly What I Wanted I have a bit of a coat addiction and I was looking for a good in between jacket for spring/fall. It's the perfect weight for those cooler days that you just need to throw on something over a t-shirt. It's also roomy enough that you can layer underneath for colder temps. The fit is a nice relaxed fit that leaves room for layering but doesn't look baggy or sloppy. I got it in black because I think it gives it a dressier look that makes it super versatile so I can wear it to the gym or to work. Some people said the hood is too big but I think it's just fine. Columbia and other winter sport companies often make the hoods roomy enough that you can fit a helmet underneath. If it was smaller people would be complaining they couldn't get it over their helmets and that's never a good thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by linniep from My New Favorite Jacket The fit of this jacket is absolutely PERFECT. Not only that but it keeps me warm and dry and should still have room for my to wear a long sleeve shirt underneath. I am about 5'11" with 38" bust and a 30" waist. My only wish is that the sleeves were a little longer and that the hood had a little more room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MeepsAnne from Love this jacket! Replaced a much older, larger jacket with this one and put it to the test today in our storm. Love it! 2 points to consider: doesn't breathe so wear light clothing if temps are warmer and as with all Columbia jackets I have, the hood is large. This one has no drawstring so it can blow off though the high-zip neck helps better than some of the others. (For some reason, the hoods are made for Charlie Brown-sized heads)

Rated 4 out of 5 by JibGirl from Functional and stylish Great rain/wind jacket! It's very warm yet not bulky at all and feels like it's made with high quality materials. I love the zippered pockets and the adjustable Drawcord at the bottom to make it look a little less baggy. Also, I like that there's no huge branding on the breast, just a discrete logo on the sleeve. The only thing I'm not crazy about is even at a size x-small, it's still fairly big on me (I am 5 feet tall and 105 lbs.) Wish it was slightly more tailored and fitted, but overall I'm very satisfied with this purchase!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Bluekittymom from Great Color - Wrong Size I liked the color, lining and hood. But the size was way off. The jacket was VERY small but the sleeves were long. It was almost like the body and sleeves were not made for each other.

Rated 4 out of 5 by cmarie from Great mid-temp jacket This jacket works great for those in-between damp temps in the upper 30s to 50s, and the hood stays secure without blowing off when the jacket is fully zipped, something many of my other hooded jackets have a problem with. I wish it were a bit longer, but it's still worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bennie from Kruser Ridge jacket Bought this to fill in a gap in my coat closet, needed something that would be warmer than a fleece but not as warm as my down coat, hoping this fits the bill. The fit seems to be right on, read a couple other reviews that said it fits large, I'm a large and it just fits, don't think I'll be able to get much underneath it. Lining is soft, not sure how warm yet as it has been in the 20's here recently. Seems very wind and rain resistant, which should be perfect. I bought the India Ink which is a grayish blue.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kwaltarina from Great coat, but mine came needing repair This coat is perfect for day to day errands. It's fairly light, but heavy enough to keep you warm and dry. The sleeves are very long, but it's a typical problem for me. The only problem with the coat was the pocket wasn't sewn closed on one side. I purchased online and it's not worth the hassle of a return. I'll repair my brand new coat myself. I'm mostly reviewing to alert COLUMBIA that they should pay closer attention.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cuties from So far, so good. It does block the wind but you still need a warm sweater underneath. I'm tiny. 4'11 and slim and the x-small was still a little big, but with a sweater, it fits just fine. I do like that it's water resistant. The reason I chose this jacket is because I'm not outside for a long time (a quick walk to the car). I don't really need a big jacket. Unfortunately, it hasn't been that cold over here in Chicago, so I'll post another review in a month.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Umas17 from True to size, wonderful jacket I had another softshell jacket by another company that was lined but I just didn't think it was a quality product. So I ordered this jacket and it exceeded my expectations. I read reviews saying it was large but it was true to size for me.
