Rated 5 out of 5 by AngieN from 3 in one coat This is the perfect coat. It’s 3 in one. The down coat is every day use in chilly to cold weather. The outside shell is great raincoat. The part with the fur zips on extra to hood. The down coat with the fur on hood is a perfect ski/ snowboarding coat. I sized up one size. I bought medium so i can wear sweatshirts etc under if need and doesn’t look too big on regular day. Thank you Columbia !

Rated 5 out of 5 by kehdc from The perfect jacket for my ski vacation I spent 2 weeks in Austria, skiing and visiting cities, and this was the perfect jacket for the whole trip. I also got the MIX IT AROUND VEST to combine with this jacket. I could not have been happier and warmer. I ordered the jacket in black so that it would be an easy city jacket too, and that way the liner could be dressed up if needed. And it worked! 1. cross country skiing at 0°C: cotton turtle neck and only the outer layer 2. cross country skiing at -3°C: turtle neck, vest, and only the outer layer 3. hiking at 3000m at -17°C: capeline long sleeved crew, turtleneck, vest, this jacket including liner layer 4. city sightseeing at 0°C: fashion turtleneck, this jacket including liner 5. indoor chilly spaces: just the liner as an indoor jacket. If I over-heated while skiing, opening the pit zips worked well too. I fit into the Large perfectly (I'm 5'9" and 165lb), but upsized to the XL so that I could easily add extra layers if I needed them (which I rarely did), and so that it would be a little longer. I'm super glad I upsized.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tara11 from Nice jacket, runs big I usually wear a medium in jackets so that I can layer up underneath. This jacket is rather boxy and was quite large on me - 5'4", 123 lb. I liked everything about it, it just didn't fit. The price was right as well. Keep in mind the boxy style when ordering your size and order the size you normally would wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MyLiz from great multi-functional jacket Great value for money, you get 3 different jackets in one. I love the color (got night shadow), it's very different from the usual black winter jacket. Very lightweight and compact considering the warmth that it provides. The shell by itself provides sufficient warmth for balmy days. Its very versatile since you can wear each item individually and it doesn't disappoint with its performance. It keeps you warm and dry. This is my second Columbia jacket and it's a keeper!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sharvari from Great Winter Jacket This jacket is very useful and looks great ! It's very warm as well. The only problem with this is the size. It runs a little small so I'd recommend you order a size up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Niki70 from LOVE IT! I love this jacket! This is the perfect jacket for mild to somewhat cold days. The look is great and I've received several compliments on the jacket. I wouldn't recommend this for really cold days unless you have some good layers underneath. The inner, detachable jacket is also cute on it's own and surprisingly warm with the reflective heat technology lining.

Rated 2 out of 5 by KristiZLoves465 from Awkward fit I was so exited to buy this jacket since there were so many good reviews, but it’s a very odd fit. The jacket around the body fits okay but the underarms are so incredibly tight. The sleeves are also excessively long. Will be returning and buying another style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ledhead from Love this coat!! My 10 y/o coat from a comparable company was showing its age so I decided to replace it. I had never owned anything from Columbia but decided to look because of their sale. I’m so glad I did! I didn’t think anything could be as good as my old coat, but oh my!!! When both jackets are zipped together, this coat is so incredibly warm. I love the water repellent outer jacket and the inner jacket is wonderful for those sunny yet brisk Indiana days. I ordered an XL because I wear a lot of hoodies and sweaters and I’m big busted. A large probably would have done just fine but I’m not complaining. This is one of the best coats I’ve ever had!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Shirley22 from VERY NICE COAT The older I get the more I just freeze in the winter. I ruined my old Columbia coat that I had and loved for about 8 years. I ordered this coat and I really do LOVE it. It is very warm and breaks a good part of the wind. I do like the attached hood I will say it does run a little tight across the top area. Sleeves and coat length are just fine. If I would have had more time I would have exchanged it for an Extra large I would recommend this coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by cano from Multi-Purpose Jacket This jacket kept me very warm while skiing in Mammoth, California. I am 5'3 and usually wear a medium top. However, I bought a large size jacket to account for layers. This was a good decision but the jacket is a little long. However, it still looks pretty good. On the way back from Mammoth to Los Angeles, I like to stop by the small towns and nearby areas where there is a drastic temperature change. It was super easy to take off the top layer of the jacket and wear the shell underneath. I could not believe how perfect it was. I can tell that this will be my go-to jacket for years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rainee429 from Lhotse Interchange Jacket I could not be more happy with this coat. I am sz 12 normally a lrg, but ordered xlrg and it fit perfectly and roomy! Clean lines and the liner jacket is the perfect weight. I ordered the teal and it is beautiful very greyish as is the liner not garish at all. The fur on the hood needed to be fluffed up a bit but is cute!

Rated 5 out of 5 by CC32 from Great choice The jacket is very functional with lots of pockets. The lining of the inside jacket is well made and warm. I'm 5'1" and 130lbs so it hangs a little longer than I thought but not bad and not bulky. I ordered a medium. When worn together , makes a great winter jacket. I also like that you can customize it( no hood, hood , hood with fur lining).

Rated 4 out of 5 by stwine from A very well-made jacket but... This jacket is very well made. I bought it for skiing but sometimes wear it otherwise. I like the versatility of a removable inner layer and the heat-reflective lining. But I couldn't give it five stars for two reasons: The sizing at the hip is too small for women with even medium-sized hips; and there's no option to open the zipper from the bottom, which is very useful when sitting on a chairlift (or in the subway). This second issue is the more significant of the two. Not only would a two-way zipper alleviate the tightness at the hip when seated or otherwise, but I'm also puzzled why Columbia - generally reliable for quality products - wouldn't use a two-way zipper when most ski jackets have them. I kept this jacket because it was already an exchange for another (too snug) style and the "interchange" design is at least more versatile. But these two issues keep me from loving it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Meg03 from Great coat for skiing I just returned this weekend from skiing In Snowshoe, WV and this coat kept me nice and warm! After reading the reviews, I did order a size up from what I normally would and glad I did since I had to wear layers. The inner lining coat was perfect for when we weren’t skiing to wear around and stylish. Overall I’m very happy with my coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by James06 from About service The product is top notch. I have two daughters attending college where warmth is a must. It’s performance is outstanding. More importantly I appreciate the ease in exchanging the coat for a larger size. This model does run a little small. The app worked wonders as I returned the product and ordered a size larger with ease. My credit went through and I only had to read the notification. Great product fantastic service

Rated 3 out of 5 by May05 from Good jacket I bought this jacket for a ski trip and it did its job well. It kept me warm without needing to have a lot of layers and came with enough pockets for storing hats/gloves. The only thing I dislike about this jacket is the faux fur lining on the hood which it seems they have changed since. I have only worn mine for a season but the fur is all flat and matted. The jacket itself is of great quality except I wish the fur matched as well. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Slashlilystar from Great jacket I was very impressed with this jacket. It's quite warm and I love the versatility. I also like that it is quite compact when folded up and yet provides a lot of warmth. This is a great jacket to travel with as I can adjust how warm I need it to be and yet I only need one jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Msuvet2006 from Great coat I love Columbia coats. My last one lasted me over 10 years. It was hard to choose which coat to buy since they have so many 3 in 1 coats to choose from. I needed a general all around warm winter jacket but also one I could wear skiing. I love how versatile it is. There are zip pockets inside the coat for extra storage of winter accessories which I liked. The fur lining on the hood is removable and the hood is removable too. I picked the raspberry color and was not disappointed. It is really a nice color. Because I know that women’s Columbia winter jackets tend to run slim and tapered, I ordered a size up and I am glad I did. The XL has enough room to wear stuff underneath. The sleeves are a little long but there are Velcro cuffs that tighten the cuff so it fits. Overall it’s a very warm, versatile jacket and I can’t wait to take it out on the slopes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MtnGalCO from Lovely jacket - but runs small Jacket had all the features I was looking for; warm, pit zips, lovely color and removable fur trim. Outer material is a little stiff. Returned this jacket in favor of Hersh Mtn which had same features, but ran a bit larger & had more stretch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hogieman from Warm and perfect coat! I had to replace my other Interchange jacket and found this one!! I am always cold and need the attached liner. The color is great and different from my usual black color that I always wear. I like it big because I wear layers underneath. I removed the fur liner, it is quite ugly. Great pockets and functionality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MrsSciTeacher from Warm and dry in Iceland I purchased this jacket to replace a 16 year old Columbia jacket that was falling apart. It kept me so warm and dry while on excursions in snow and 32 deg F weather in Iceland. I often didn't have to wear a thermal under layer if I had on a sweater underneath. It accommodated a bulky sweater very well. I thought I wouldn't like the faux fur trim, but it proved to help greatly with shading my eyes from the sun and keeping snow and rain out of my eyes. Also didn't think I would like the green liner, but it's more on the grey side and I'm ok with it. All in all, this jacket has been the best choice for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SarvinaRN from Perfect for skiing the Pacific Northwest I have worn this coat skiing twice. Both times it has been snowing heavily. This coat has been perfect! It has kept me warm and dry. It's not too bulky, I think the weight is perfect. I did get a large based off of some of the other reviews. I wanted room to layer if necessary. I am 5'9: and 140 pounds. Extremely happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ColoradoBabe from AMAZING! Lasted 5+ years. Made CO winters feel like summer. A actually bought the predecessor to this jacket abt 6 yrs ago. I HATE being cold and finally my bf convinced me to buy a proper winter coat. I stumbled upon this coat and I am SO thankful I did. This coat is ridiculously warm and comfortable. I get so cold so easily but with this jacket I could stay outside in -10 for hours and be perfectly toasty. This jacket lasted 5 years and held up and looked like it was brand new. I highly recommend this to everyone. And for the price? It's a no-brainer. I bought an XS. 34"-24"-36" 120lbs. I tired my jacket after I broke the zippers on it, but that was my fault, and now I plan on buying the "WOMEN'S EVAPOURATION™ TRENCH INTERCHANGE JACKET" bc it looks the same but longer and although this jacket was absolutely perfect, I could never find pants to keep my hips and legs warm, and this other jacket is longer and hopefully it'll keep more of me warm. PS The pic is of the inner jacket. The coat looks really classy and I wore the inner part by it's self all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Akitamom from Great jacket! I live in the Columbia Gorge where our east wind is famous for it's chilling effect. First trip outside in my new jacket was in 30+ mile an hour winds, 32 degrees, with heavy rain. I stayed warm and dry. I was only wearing a light sweatshirt underneath and stayed very comfortable throughout my extended walk. Since I am nearly always cold, I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by getaylor46 from Arctic Coat Hard to really determine quality when only worn once. Function: Walked to work (2 min.) 14F I was only wearing a Tshirt and my arms did feel a chill. 4F no wind up on tundra still only wearing tshirt I was comfortable with arms getting cold. Upper body stayed warm, but did only stay out 15 minutes. Pockets are small as is the fit. Very nice form fit but if I do need to add another layer it will be tight. I believe if I wear an appropriate shirt I would not get cold.

Rated 3 out of 5 by mctnash from Somewhat satisfied I am going skiing for the first time and bought this jacket as a starter. I am a true size 4 in all my clothing, but this coat seems a little snug in the shoulders and across the back. The faux fur is also not nearly as lush as it appears in the photo. For the price (I got it on sale), it will certainly do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Amz00 from Super cute and warm Wasn't sure what size to order after reading the reviews. I decided on a medium (I usually wear a small) it fits pretty good. The only things I don't like is that the arms are longer than mine but I'm 5'1" so this happens quite often with me lol. I am not in love with the shiny silver inside of the coat otherwise I couldn't be happier with the coat! I will defiantly be keeping it (:

Rated 4 out of 5 by csdogmom from Flattering and Versatile My goals with this purchase: (1) A coat that’s comfortably warm over two long-sleeve shirts in 20-degree weather, and that I can wear over a sweatshirt in colder temps. Something I can quickly toss on for three-a-day dog walks and numerous errands. (2) Velcro sleeve adjustment, a necessity as I have short arms. (3) Something flattering. (4) Versatile, easy-to-keep clean main color, i.e., black or dark gray. (5) Collar color that does not drain color from face or need frequent washing. I prefer fleece linings, but who wants to remove and wash a lining every time its baby blue collar shows a little dirt? I ordered the Alpine Action in a 1X, and found it too large for my build (38-35-45). It might have been more flattering in an XL, but I decided the reflective lining wasn’t warm enough. In 45-degree weather in high humidity, with a couple layers, I could still feel a bit of a chill. For vigorous activity it might be fine, but for a brisk dog walk it was lacking. Based on the reviews regarding warmth, I switched to an XL Lhotse Interchange. More flattering. Insulated lining could stand to be a little warmer, but it was sufficient over a single long-sleeve tee in 35-degree weather. And I think the “pit vents” could improve motion and comfort when layering over a sweatshirt. A feature I appreciate: If you unzip the faux fur collar trim, the zipper on the hood stays hidden. I’m keeping the Lhotse and returning the Alpine. BTW, I dislike giving "true to size" or not ratings since body sizes/shapes and sizes all vary. Hope giving actual body measurements proves more useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ArcticTraveller from Super useful I got this jacket for a future trip to Iceland. Unexpectedly I had to go to Alaska for work. I stayed the weekend and went on a glacier cruise. The jacket kept me warm when we were really close to the glaciers :) I love it. Since Otis two jackets together I was able to use the huge jacket for the outside and simply remove it and stay with the inner jacket inside the cruise. I love this jacket and the water resistant material was awesome, kept my phone safe when it started to rain freezing water. Fit is a little tight, but not a big deal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jskier from Lhotse jacket Just got back from a week of skiing with my new jacket. Very warm, but lightweight. I loved it. It felt like I had forgotten something because it was so lightweight and comfortable! I only wish there was a second small zipper pocket in the chest area so I can keep my ski season pass separate from my phone. That would be my only improvement on a great jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RomH from You have to wear a fleece underneath First of all, the "black" option isn't really black; it's more like a grayish colour. Secondly, the hat sits really awkwardly. I can't really see anything if I put it on. It's fairly warm if you wear a fleece or a sweater underneath. It's very stylish, comfortable and light. I guess everything has it's pros and cons, huh?
