Rated 5 out of 5 by from Black Fur coat amazing (white fur too) i was worried about ordering this coat no one in the city of Edmonton had it because it is new so i amazon and bas pro to see what i could see on colour and reviews and was worried for sizing and fur colour because it was different on all sites... this jacket is prefect & it is WHITE FUR!! and the fit is not fitted like my last Columbia 3 in 1 whirlibird but it does say it is not fitted but it still fist like a normal small would fit and it is true to fit like i dont look like a sack of potatoes i fits like a nice winter coat for going to an from your car n looking stylish ... and still just as warm!! the only thing i found different between this and the whirilibird is the tight to comfort fit and the hood other than that it is more the style you want

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice winter jacket I bought this jacket for the winter coming. Wore the inner part a few times when it was raining, it is really warm and it is waterproof. Just like how the description has it. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and perfect coat! I had to replace my other Interchange jacket and found this one!! I am always cold and need the attached liner. The color is great and different from my usual black color that I always wear. I like it big because I wear layers underneath. I removed the fur liner, it is quite ugly. Great pockets and functionality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and dry in Iceland I purchased this jacket to replace a 16 year old Columbia jacket that was falling apart. It kept me so warm and dry while on excursions in snow and 32 deg F weather in Iceland. I often didn't have to wear a thermal under layer if I had on a sweater underneath. It accommodated a bulky sweater very well. I thought I wouldn't like the faux fur trim, but it proved to help greatly with shading my eyes from the sun and keeping snow and rain out of my eyes. Also didn't think I would like the green liner, but it's more on the grey side and I'm ok with it. All in all, this jacket has been the best choice for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for skiing the Pacific Northwest I have worn this coat skiing twice. Both times it has been snowing heavily. This coat has been perfect! It has kept me warm and dry. It's not too bulky, I think the weight is perfect. I did get a large based off of some of the other reviews. I wanted room to layer if necessary. I am 5'9: and 140 pounds. Extremely happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile Jacket I have always been a fan of Columbia Sportswear. And this jacket did not disappoint. It is very versatile because it has a waterproof outer layer and a zip-in/out well-insulated inner layer. Two very well designed jackets in one package!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING! Lasted 5+ years. Made CO winters feel like summer. A actually bought the predecessor to this jacket abt 6 yrs ago. I HATE being cold and finally my bf convinced me to buy a proper winter coat. I stumbled upon this coat and I am SO thankful I did. This coat is ridiculously warm and comfortable. I get so cold so easily but with this jacket I could stay outside in -10 for hours and be perfectly toasty. This jacket lasted 5 years and held up and looked like it was brand new. I highly recommend this to everyone. And for the price? It's a no-brainer. I bought an XS. 34"-24"-36" 120lbs. I tired my jacket after I broke the zippers on it, but that was my fault, and now I plan on buying the "WOMEN'S EVAPOURATION™ TRENCH INTERCHANGE JACKET" bc it looks the same but longer and although this jacket was absolutely perfect, I could never find pants to keep my hips and legs warm, and this other jacket is longer and hopefully it'll keep more of me warm. PS The pic is of the inner jacket. The coat looks really classy and I wore the inner part by it's self all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket! I live in the Columbia Gorge where our east wind is famous for it's chilling effect. First trip outside in my new jacket was in 30+ mile an hour winds, 32 degrees, with heavy rain. I stayed warm and dry. I was only wearing a light sweatshirt underneath and stayed very comfortable throughout my extended walk. Since I am nearly always cold, I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Arctic Coat Hard to really determine quality when only worn once. Function: Walked to work (2 min.) 14F I was only wearing a Tshirt and my arms did feel a chill. 4F no wind up on tundra still only wearing tshirt I was comfortable with arms getting cold. Upper body stayed warm, but did only stay out 15 minutes. Pockets are small as is the fit. Very nice form fit but if I do need to add another layer it will be tight. I believe if I wear an appropriate shirt I would not get cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely in love with this product! I got this winter jacket for Christmas and absolutely fell in love with it! Unfortunately though, my pet rat managed to get ahold of the hood that was hanging near his cage and chewed a huge hole in the hood. :'(. Was so heart broken!!! Because it made the coat so much better!!! Beautiful product, highly recommend by me, and my pet rat. Hehe.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Somewhat satisfied I am going skiing for the first time and bought this jacket as a starter. I am a true size 4 in all my clothing, but this coat seems a little snug in the shoulders and across the back. The faux fur is also not nearly as lush as it appears in the photo. For the price (I got it on sale), it will certainly do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super cute and warm Wasn't sure what size to order after reading the reviews. I decided on a medium (I usually wear a small) it fits pretty good. The only things I don't like is that the arms are longer than mine but I'm 5'1" so this happens quite often with me lol. I am not in love with the shiny silver inside of the coat otherwise I couldn't be happier with the coat! I will defiantly be keeping it (:

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Flattering and Versatile My goals with this purchase: (1) A coat that’s comfortably warm over two long-sleeve shirts in 20-degree weather, and that I can wear over a sweatshirt in colder temps. Something I can quickly toss on for three-a-day dog walks and numerous errands. (2) Velcro sleeve adjustment, a necessity as I have short arms. (3) Something flattering. (4) Versatile, easy-to-keep clean main color, i.e., black or dark gray. (5) Collar color that does not drain color from face or need frequent washing. I prefer fleece linings, but who wants to remove and wash a lining every time its baby blue collar shows a little dirt? I ordered the Alpine Action in a 1X, and found it too large for my build (38-35-45). It might have been more flattering in an XL, but I decided the reflective lining wasn’t warm enough. In 45-degree weather in high humidity, with a couple layers, I could still feel a bit of a chill. For vigorous activity it might be fine, but for a brisk dog walk it was lacking. Based on the reviews regarding warmth, I switched to an XL Lhotse Interchange. More flattering. Insulated lining could stand to be a little warmer, but it was sufficient over a single long-sleeve tee in 35-degree weather. And I think the “pit vents” could improve motion and comfort when layering over a sweatshirt. A feature I appreciate: If you unzip the faux fur collar trim, the zipper on the hood stays hidden. I’m keeping the Lhotse and returning the Alpine. BTW, I dislike giving "true to size" or not ratings since body sizes/shapes and sizes all vary. Hope giving actual body measurements proves more useful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GReat gift Bought for my girlfriend who needed a coat that could be used in the south in Tennessee where she lives currently and here in Michigan where I live and she is moving too. The 3 in 1 makes that possible. Coat for every occasion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super useful I got this jacket for a future trip to Iceland. Unexpectedly I had to go to Alaska for work. I stayed the weekend and went on a glacier cruise. The jacket kept me warm when we were really close to the glaciers :) I love it. Since Otis two jackets together I was able to use the huge jacket for the outside and simply remove it and stay with the inner jacket inside the cruise. I love this jacket and the water resistant material was awesome, kept my phone safe when it started to rain freezing water. Fit is a little tight, but not a big deal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fine Coat My wife needed a new heavy coat and columbia had a sale at the right time. Good construction and price. This jacket will fit the bill in all weather. Fits small and the sleeves are a little long but the adjustable straps will take care of that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect This jacket is perfect for what I needed. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone looking for a jacket below-20 though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lhotse jacket Just got back from a week of skiing with my new jacket. Very warm, but lightweight. I loved it. It felt like I had forgotten something because it was so lightweight and comfortable! I only wish there was a second small zipper pocket in the chest area so I can keep my ski season pass separate from my phone. That would be my only improvement on a great jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from You have to wear a fleece underneath First of all, the "black" option isn't really black; it's more like a grayish colour. Secondly, the hat sits really awkwardly. I can't really see anything if I put it on. It's fairly warm if you wear a fleece or a sweater underneath. It's very stylish, comfortable and light. I guess everything has it's pros and cons, huh?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this jacket! So far I love my jacket! I'm in Minnesota right now and we went on a little hike. I was so warm I actually had to start pulling off some gear. It is soft and comfortable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Attractive but function is bad This is an attractive jacket on the website, until I tried it on. I kept this jacket only because it's the closest I could find to the last Columbia jacket I purchased in 2002, but I'm already wishing I hadn't kept it because the Velcro down the front placket of the jacket is sticking to everything and driving me crazy! When I take it off the hanger to put it on, I have to lay it down and pull the jacket apart because the Velcro pieces are stuck together. The Velcro sticks to my clothing and the Velcro pieces on the cuffs when I am putting the jacket on, as well as scratching my skin. AWFUL!!! The sizing runs really small. I ordered an XL so I had room to layer, but Columbia must have changed the sizing since I purchased my last winter jacket, because there is no room for any layers. This jacket doesn't hold a candle to the "Ice Edge Parka" I purchased in 2002. That jacket had everything: Outside and inside chest pockets; Two-way zipper that really comes in handy when you are sitting in a car and don't want your jacket riding up to your chin; SNAPS down the front instead of that AWFUL Velcro; and truly adjustable cuffs that I could snug up on my wrist to get the sleeves out of the way. I guess I won't be purchasing any more jackets from Columbia if they keep using Velcro instead of the conventional snaps as fasteners down the front of the jacket. Columbia: BRING BACK THE ICE EDGE PARKA, AND GO BACK TO SNAPS INSTEAD OF VELCRO!!!!!!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's okay Pros: Warm Moderately stylish Mostly rain proof Cons: No fitted sleeve cuffs (wind gets in and there is a gap between glove and jacket) Fur rim is short on the sides, it does not extend all the way around (making the hood look visually awkward when up) Pockets leak (tbh all my Columbia jackets do this except non-"breathable" rain jackets with rain proofed zipper pockets) Tight at hips, not tailored enough at waist (not really fitted for "women's" bodies. Rain drips off jacket right onto my pants) I bought it because it was an interchange jacket which I love, the hood had fur to hopefully keep out winter wind, and it was black. I would have bought the bugaboo again but it had white on it. I was really happy with my purchase last time I got the bugaboo but feel most comfortable in black. I'm an consistently disappointed in sportswear companies who sell women's versions in loud colors but not black. At the end of the day I would recommend to a friend with a shrug and a list of the jackets short comings. If you have $250 to spend on a mediocre jacket then this is the coat for you!
