Rated 5 out of 5 by from Omni Heat Technology Makes These The Best Gloves Ever! Recently I purchased a pair of Women’s Mighty Lite Columbia gloves with Omni Heat from the Columbia website. Before I review my glove purchase, I need to preface with a description of a Columbia jacket with Omni Heat I purchased three years ago from a local retail store. A few years ago, I moved from California to Idaho and was shocked with the weather change. The first year I suffered through the cold winter and complained about the "bone chilling" cold. I did not know that the secret to living in a cold climate is wearing clothes that keep you warm and learning how to layer and bundle! At that time, I owned an old forest green winter jacket which I thought would be warm enough for Idaho winters. It took a while for me to realize I would be more comfortable if I bought a better jacket with the appropriate accessories. After a year of wearing that old, ineffective jacket, I purchased a beautiful black Columbia Omni Heat jacket. The difference between the first excruciating winter and the second was transitioning from pure misery to bliss. The Columbia jacket uses a really cool technology called Omni Heat which is an internal lining designed to regulate body temperature. I don't get too hot or too cold. The jacket also has fantastic features such as zip up pockets, hand warmers, a hood, big internal pockets, armpit mesh coolers, cinch ties etc. It is truly the best jacket I've ever owned. This preface leads to a review of my recent purchase of my Women’s Mighty Lite Columbia gloves with the Omni Heat lining. For the last few years I have purchased many different winter gloves hoping to find a pair that actually keeps my hands from freezing. A pair of gloves can initially be warm, but when my hands sweat, the sweat freezes so my hands become so cold and uncomfortable, it's painful. It’s better to not wear any gloves at all! I gave up trying to find warm gloves. I also tried hand warmers which are okay, but this year I decided I wanted to try again to find a warm pair of gloves since previous purchases had failed miserably. As I was searching for another pair, I went to the same store I purchased my Columbia jacket. I came across a pair of Columbia gloves with the same Omni Heat technology as my jacket! They were black, and I recognized the Omni Heat silver lining in the gloves that are in my jacket. The store didn’t have my size, so I took a picture of the gloves for reference. My next move was to go online and see if I could order a pair in my size. I found a pair of small women’s Mighty Lite gloves on the Columbia Sportswear website that matched my photograph. I was excited because I had so much trust in the Omni Heat technology. My jacket is so great, I figured the gloves should function the same with temperature regulation for my hands. It was snowing in Idaho the day my gloves were delivered. I was eager to test their "warmness." They fit perfectly. They are comfortable. They are not too bulky and they look great! Best of all and most important, they are warm, and they stay warm! They don't turn sweat into ice because of the lining. These gloves are wonderful! I am so happy with my purchase. NOTE: As a side note. Three days after receiving my pair of Columbia gloves, I accidentally left them at a mall. Unable to locate them in lost and found, I decided to purchase the exact pair again because they are great. I paid $50 for the pair, so having to purchase them twice was a bummer. I now have my replacement pair and they are worth it. They just went on sale for half price so if you are in the market for gloves, this is a good time to grab a pair. Thank you Columbia for your great products!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not as Warm as Advertised I bought these for an upcoming trip to Iceland. They are comfortable and fit well; however, they're not as warm as I was hoping. I'm a cold person in general, so I don't know if it's just me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Gloves ! I purchased a Mighty lite jacket and loved that so much, I bought the longer coat. Though the garments are ultra lite in weight, the lining is incredibly warm even in our New England winters! I saw these gloves with the same lining and had to have them. They are wonderful and I fully recommend them to anybody in need of a warm pair of gloves. I have an average sized hand and found the medium a tad too small so I reordered the large and they're great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Glove but not warm enough Coming with the might-lite name, I expected this glove to keep my hands warm, but they are not warm enough for my life in Maine's Northwoods. I hope to find a better glove. It is great for short periods onside, days that are not too cold and hiking adventures. The quality is excellent. I was just hoping it would keep me warmer.
