Women’s Minx™ Mid II Omni-Heat™ Boot is rated out of 5 by 49.
Rated 2 out of 5 by WinterHiker from Not waterproof; insole not warm I have been disappointed with these boots from the first week I got them, for various reasons, and would not purchase them again. They look nice, but don't perform as stated. 1) Product claims to be waterproof, but clearly is not. Yesterday I went for a hike in snow and slush (with the laces cinched up tight) and came back less than an hour later with soaking wet feet. 2) Product claims to be rated for -32C but my feet were often cold - outdoors and indoors. I understand that this rating is for active movement, and for the first few times I went hiking in freezing temps my feet were warm. However, after I had worn the boots regularly for about a month I noticed that my toes were often cold on my walks despite wool socks. 3) For a boot that is supposed to keep your feet warm outdoors up to -32C, they did a very poor job keeping my feet warm indoors while sitting. The first week I had the boots I had worn them from the house to the car to a meeting (so my feet had been warm and dry in wool socks when I put the boots on), and I noticed that while I was sitting for a couple of hours my feet felt cold. I determined that the rubber insole was what made my feet feel cold. Not a good choice of insole in my opinion. 4) My feet are size 8 1/2, but that size felt snug, and I like thicker wool socks, so I bought a size 9. They fit perfectly when I got them, but after a few weeks the lining compacted so much that they became a full size too large and my feet slipped around in them. I did a lot of research and tried on a lot of boots before purchasing this pair, and I am extremely dissappointed in them on several levels. I would not buy them again and would not recommend them. Rated 1 out of 5 by Sffaz from Poor material I got this columbia boots by looking at the rating and that is excellent.. this n that in august amd wore it in December and January and the material on the top is torn off in just 2 months of use and the internal material is also torn off , not worth the money paid and not even worth the name brand . I don’t recommend anyone (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 2 out of 5 by Dee82 from Boots are warm but not waterproof Being new to Canada I was very careful before buying winter boots. Till now I was a happy customer as they kept my feet warm through the worst of Ottawa winter weather. But they are not water proof. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 2 out of 5 by Sunshine77 from Big Disappointment :( I purchased these boots based on many positive reviews. Even though, a few reviewers complained their feet were still cold, I believed the majority. I love the feel of them. They're light and very comfortable. They feel like I'm wearing cozy slippers. Unfortunately, they perform like slippers outside as well. I have worn these on days as cold as -32C. Today is -11C and I don't feel any difference. They're ok for the first couple of minutes but then the cold slowly creeps in. It takes 15 minutes to walk my daughters to school every morning. My feet are frozen before I'm half way there, then I have to walk back! When I get home my toes are so cold they hurt and burn. I was really hoping for these to work out. It makes me think the Omni-Heat System is inconsequential. I love the height of them, the style, the lightness but they utterly fail at keeping you warm! Rated 5 out of 5 by Newfita from Excellent cold weather boot These boots are fantastic! I read the reviews prior to ordering and order a half size up. They fit very well, a little wider than most brands however if you tighten the laces they are the perfect fit. These boots have excellent traction for walking in snow; there is no slipping or sliding. These boots keep me super warm and dry. Extremely comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. I’m also very pleased with the look of these boots. Fantastic purchase and I would high recommend them. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by EricaS from Love these As a perpetually cold person, I swear by everything omni-heat. These boots are so comfy and look very cute with even a pair of leggings as well as being highly functional. I did have a slight leak issue with a previous pair, but Columbia was super great with the warranty and I ended up buying the same boots again. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by rickettsiaceae from Excellent boots I always hated waiting for the bus in the winter and having freezing toes no matter what type of boots, socks, etc I had on. Now, I no longer feel the cold which I love! They are also super comfortable to walk with. Be aware that they are a bit on the small size, I usually wear size 8 and I ordered size 9. If I wear woolen socks too, they fit comfortably tight. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 2 out of 5 by Hadas from Not Waterproof! Purchased these boots last winter. got my feet wet walking through slushy snow, but thought maybe it was my fault because it was really wet and slushy. Walked in the light rain today and my feet got soaked, definitely not my fault, as these are supposed to be waterproof. On top of this, I have to pay the postage fees to send them to headquarters in Ontario from Vancouver. Not only is the boot not delivering as promised, I now have to spend more money on something that should have been done right the first time. VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER! Rated 4 out of 5 by PSASE from Comfortable Boot The boot is shorter than I expected (I am 5'9 and it comes to the bottom of my calf) and the fur lining only goes to the ankle (i was hoping my toes would be wrapped in fur as they have been frost bitten) but other than that the boot is very stylish and comfortable. Definitely order a half size up. I am always an 8 and after reading reviews I ordered an 8.5. They JUST fit. If you want to wear with thick socks I would order a full size larger than normal. Rated 5 out of 5 by SweaterSuzy from Lightweight, warm, comfortable boot The best winter boots I have ever bought. Extremely warm even in coldest Quebec temperatures yet your feet do not sweat. Very lightweight and so comfortable even when walking long distances. Soles are well engineered for durability and non slip function on snow and ice. Quality laces that are easy to tie up. Attractive quilted waterproof upper that is very stylish. I love these boots and highly recommend. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by Wanderwoman from Love these boots The boots were delivered on time. I wore them a couple of times already. They are very warm indeed! It does run small but I am okay with the size I got. I ordered a 9 and I wear not too thick socks with them. Its very light and the traction is awesome. I am hoping to they will last for a long time!

Rated 4 out of 5 by MBPrairieGirl from Love this boot....but I will buy this boot again! Lightweight, good traction, warm in -30C, and looks great. The only drawback is that water leaked in during an unexpected rain! It wasn't much but both feet got wet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by conx from True to size I diligently read almost all the reviews and decided to order 1 size larger than I usually wear .... big mistake! The boots are too big and I'll have to return them causing additional shipping charges and, unfortunately my size is now unavailable. I liked the boots especially the light weight, which was the major consideration after recently torn knee ligaments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jennpro from A great purchase! Wow, what a great purchase. I love the boots. They are lightweight, very comfortable and functional. I am also skeptical when companies say their products are waterproof but these boots really are. I have walked through several large slush puddles and my feet have been completely dry. The boots are also good to -25c but it hasn't got that cold here yet to test that out but they have been keeping my feet very warm so far in the -5 to -10 range that we've had so far. When you are buying the boots make sure you go a size bigger. I usually wear a 9 or 9.5, but had to buy a 10 to fit my feet perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by iHeartMyCity from Warm and water proof Today I purposely stepped on slush and water to see if snow will seep in and nothing from the outside world stood a chance with these babies! :D I ordered a size up and so I can wear thick thermal socks. Everytime I dust off it's as if I haven't walked on snow coz nothing sticks, amazing or what. My feet were kept warm and dry during my 30 minute walk. Awesome traction and very light weight. Ladida dida, I am singing in the snow. Love you Columbia!

Rated 5 out of 5 by LuciTO from Holding up well! I'm heading into my second winter with these boots. My usual street size is 10, but based on reviews I sized up to an 11, and they are just right. There is enough room for heavy socks, but they are fine with tights as well. These boots are so light and comfortable, it feels like I'm wearing bedroom slippers! I keep them loosely enough laced that I can use them as slip ons. I bought them with dog walking in mind, and these have served me well through snow, slippery conditions, slush and mud. Last winter was mild, so these were the only boots I needed, and I wore them every day for months. They wouldn't be warm enough for deep freeze conditions, but I wasn't expecting them to be. Even though my boots are usually kind of muddy they are in great shape, and I have received numerous compliments on them. (I have them in "shale", a nice true mid grey.) I know others who treat them as their "get dressed and go to town" boots. Bring back the larger sizes, Columbia! I have several tall women in my family who would like them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by TheGirlwithThreeDogs from What happened?! I tried these boots on in store and they felt great. First three walks they were perfect, no problems. However, on my fourth walk I ended up with horrible blister and now I can't even put my feet in my boots because the heel area digs into my feet too much. I loved these boots initially but now I can't even wear them. Wish I knew to buy a size bigger. The pros are that they are light-weight (fantastic!!!), warm, and have good grip. Unfortunately, I can't return them and therefore can't afford new ones in a larger size. Recommend you buy a size bigger than you normally would.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Karen71 from Love these boots - but order 1/2 up I love these boots! I walk a lot and these are perfect for wearing on long (or short) walks. Last year, I bought a pair of the Loveland Omni-Heat. I thought they fit when I bought them but after walking in them for 30 minutes or more, my toe starts to really hurt from hitting the end (Columbia, if you are listening... could you please exchange these for me for an 8.5?). I am a size 8 and that works in every brand I've ever tried. I have never taken anything smaller or larger than an 8. However, after reading the reviews online, and hearing all the comments about the very small fit of these boots, as well as knowing that other pair I bought last year are too small, I bought the 8.5 from and they are 100% perfect. I'm glad I bought these boots in a size 8.5. I almost didn't because of the experience I had with buying the size 8 last year. I would definitely recommend these boots. They are as comfy as a pair of slippers and have good ice traction as well. Order 1/2 size up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Donna18 from Aware boot-NOT WATERPROOF I bought these boots in October. They are very warm, lightweight with a great grip on ice but THEY ARE NOT WATERPROOF. The first day we had freezing rain and slush, one boot leaked badly and it took approx. 4 days for the inner sole to dry out. I am very disappointed and I am going to try and take them back to the store for a refund because they are supposed to be guaranteed waterproof which was an important feature to me when I bought them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JenF86 from Decent boots I bought these boots a few weeks ago, after researching them, found plenty of positive reviews. They are excellent for warmth in extreme cold! Very comfortable to wear. The only downside is they claim to be water proof. As I have found out the hard way they are not. In the less than 5 minute walk across slush covered sidewalks my feet were soaked, warm but soaked! These boots should state they are water resistant as they clearly are not waterproof! As someone who spends most of the day outdoors, and needs a reliable warm and dry footwear, calling these winter boots waterproof is a lie. Therefore I have to give them a rating of poor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SamN from Great Boots I have worn this boot in Ottawa's winter weather and in 51 cm of snow - and it held up! I don't get water in my boots, the traction was great, and since it is snug the boot is much warmer. It feels almost like you are wearing big slippers that's how comfy they are. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by CabinLovinCanuck from Highly Recommend! I have looked everywhere for winter boots that didn't weigh 10 lbs, with GREAT grip and that could stand -30 temperatures. In the past week, I've put these things through their paces. They've held up in a -40 cold snap, slush, snow and puddles. I walk my dog in the bush daily and THESE BOOTS ARE MAGIC! I can't say enough good stuff about them. They're as comfortable and light as running shoes with fantastic grip and I haven't once noticed cold toes or any dampness. The only thing to note is that the reviews are true about size - they run a tad small. I simply ordered a half size up and problem solved. I wouldn't hesitate to order these again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SThays from Just what I wanted I love these boots, they are comfy , warm and super light. It feels like I'm wearing slippers. I haven't tried them in wet/slushy conditions so I don't know how waterproof they are, but they have good grip on icy surfaces. Very pleased so far!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jenn1986 from Very comfortable, flexible, light weight and warm boot This boot is by far the most comfortable winter boot I have ever purchased. I wear a size 7.5 and these boots fit perfectly. They are very flexible and allow your feet and ankles to move freely, but solid enough that you can still add on some winter crampons when it's extra icey. I have worn them out in only -15 so far with a pair of thin sport socks and my feet were still warm enough. I imagine with a pair of merino wool socks, these boots would do wonderfully in -30 or colder. They are also very much waterproof and work great in slushy conditions. I couldn't be happier with these boots!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Christina1986 from First day I put these on my feet were soaked. I bought these boots because I walk at least three times a day for a total of two hours with my German Shepherd. It doesn't matter what the weather is, I still walk. Ontario has had a mild winter so I have not really been able to see how warm they would keep my feet in the extreme cold, but I can definitely tell everyone who is going to buy these that you will NOT have dry feet if the weather is even slightly mild. I did not walk through deep puddles, stand in water, etc etc .. I just simply walked in the mild temperatures while it was still snowing and they boots seem to take in all of the water. It honestly felt like I was walking with puddles inside my shoes. Incredibly disappointed and i would not recommend these boots to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Liv07 from Super Fave Boots I got this at 50% off online during summer in Red colour and I had been wearing it all winter long. I would've loved black but it was not available during that time and I just really wanted to grab the discount. I had bought lots of other boots afterwards (more neutral colours to go with my clothes) but nothing beats this when it comes to warmth and comfort, and so I end up wearing this still! It is super comfy, superior traction, toasty warm, cute design too! It runs small and so order one size bigger (I am a size 6.5" and i got 7.5" and its perfect for me). I wanna get the black one soon, just waiting for a better deal!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sandy888 from LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE BOOTS These are the best winter boots ever. I like the looks of them, they are very warm, and the lace up front lets the boot fit my larger calf. The sole is not a big rubber piece that makes you feel like you are walking on a lump. The sole is very molded to your foot and has good grip and I feel much safer walking in these than other boots. I would buy these again any time!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Shell1111 from Nice boots! I like these boots because they are not bulky at all. Hard to find! I had to order them strait from columbia's website in order to get a 1/2 size as the stores they sell in here didn't carry them. That was annoying because you pay for shipping, plus if they didn't fit i'd have to pay to return them. I am normally a 6, that was too small and a 7 was too big but luckily the 6.5 fits perfect! Very warm boots! So far they've been waterproof as they claim they are but I don't walk through puddles so I guess time will tell for that. Have only had them a couple weeks but so far I'm happy with them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MsPandra from Disappointed It is -14 degrees today with windchill -26. It is my first day wearing these boots as I just bought them yesterday after my 8 year old bugaboots broke (the heal actually cracked and the lining is exposed). I only spent limited time outside due to the weather but I did spend about 15 minutes outside to filling my car up with gas. My feet did not stay warm. I don't know if it was because of the concrete that I was standing on or what but I know that I am going and buying a new pair of bugaboots because they always kept my feet warm. I will say that I do own a coat with Omni-heat and it is the warmest thing I own, it is actually too warm sometimes (which is why I also own another columbia coat). I love Columbia products and it is for this reason that I am highly disappointed in this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Winter from Love these I love these boots! They are very warm, I do a lot of walking in the snow and have not found them to get wet. I have not added any sprays to the outer layer. Normally I wear an 8.5, I read the comments about fitting smaller. I would definitely have to agree. The 9 fits a little small as well, however with use they have loosened a bit. Still very comfortable. Really a great warm boot!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lisa from NOT waterproof and NOT warm I bought two pairs of these boots, one for myself and one for my teenager. We were heading to Quebec for a school trip and needed good quality, waterproof boots that could stand up to Quebec's cold, snowy winter. Unfortunately these boots failed us dismally. While they are comfortable, lightweight and have good grip, they leaked like crazy and we were left with cold wet feet. With temperatures well below -20C on some days, even when they weren't leaking, we were left with frozen toes. Very disappointing for both of us, especially considering the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jasper14 from Fit and Sizing I have a lengthy commute and purchased the boots specifically for driving and shopping in the winter. I have other boots but they are bulky and make driving awkward. I've not had the opportunity to test the boots ability to keep my feet warm in the bitter Alberta cold but wanted to provide feedback on the sizing and fit. Thanks to other reviews I knew to go up a size as these boots do run small. I have wide feet and caves making boot shopping difficult and limiting. These boots fit great. When I'm wearing them they don't look small at the calf and my feet stay firmly placed in the boot while walking. My heal does not slide up and down with each step. They are light yet cozy without making your feet sweat. They have great soles for walking but are not bulky. They seem to be okay on ice. If you require boots with ankle support these might not be for you. I've logged a few miles of dog and mall walking since purchasing my boots and I am not disappointed. Am considering purchasing a second pair in case Columbia stops making them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Maggie3 from Comfy and Light I've been wearing the Columbia Bugaboo Boot for about 20 years (still in GREAT condition, btw), and was looking for a lighter, more flexible replacement. The Minx Mid II is amazing for its lightweight, slipper-like comfort, and its flexibility. I've worn it for about a week now, in -17C conditions, and my feet are toasty warm in lightweight socks. In due course it will be -25C, and that's when the real test of these boots will start. I am normally a 7.5W shoe, but had to buy a 9 to not feel crowded in this boot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Squeakybuddha from A Delightful Surprise I live in Alberta so the winters can be a wee bit cold. Add to that my big active dog who demands a lot of outdoor activities I'm out on some of the coldest days of winter. My experience with winter boots with a -30C rating is that they are heavy and clunky. Not fun for walking long distances in. So when I tried these I was skeptical; they were soft and light, almost like wearing slippers. This morning we woke up to our first winter snow fall. And while it was only -10 I was excited to try my boots for the first time. To test their effectiveness I wore only lightweight socks and trudged through every slushy/snow puddle I could find. After an hour of walking and play my feet were dry and comfortably warm. I can't give the boots a five star rating yet as they haven't been tested to their maximum rating of -32C but I trust they will do well. My only 'slight negative' comment is on sizing. I normally wear a 9 but went for a 9.5 to be safe. These will work well but I kind of wish I'd bought the 10.
