Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I bought these at Fredmeyer for maybe $30 and they have lasted me 4 years! Recently went backpacking for 3 months in them and they held up in the rain and snow and kept their grip in the steep talus I was hiking in! Buying these again because I love them so much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE MY BOOTS! I am happy with everything with my boots! I highly reccomend these boots. SO comfortable and great price. Wish I would have bought them years ago. Columbia now has a new fan!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made it to the Top of Half Dome One week before I was supposed to hike Half Dome my dog chewed up my other Columbia hiking shoes. I got these just in time for my hike and even with the little break in time I had my feet felt good after 9 hours of hiking. I think they could use a little more ankle support and cushioning, but I would definitely recommend them. The waterproofing is good too. I walked out into the Merced river and was a little worried water would get through where the tongue is, but they were good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly Perfect I bought these boots for a 2 day Machu Picchu hike. I was a bit nervous because I am not a huge hiker and I had never worn them before the hike. However, they were fantastic. They didn't give me blisters at all and had good treads. For hiking 10 miles in them on my first wear, they really couldn't have been better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Hiking Boots These boots are perfect! Sooo comfy & durable! I got them muddy and they just wipe off. I have hiked Banff, my home town trails in MO & am taking them to Hawaii next month!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super comfortable I wore these hiking boots just last weekend and am amazed at how comfortable they are! No blisters and the my fit very true to size!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good waterproof boots I work on a farm and needed a pair of boots that are comfortable and waterproof. These boots are both. I wear them all day and come home with dry feet that are not tired. I will buy another when these wear out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My size is 6.5 to 7 but 7 was way too small Very sad that Columbia doesn't exchange items or I would go for one size up, but the shoes are now more expensive than the price I paid, besides I am not sure if size 7.5 would be good for me or I have to go for size 8. My normal size is 6.5 or 7, but this size 7 shoes look very small just by appearance. If I purchase the same shoes now after returning, it would cost about $20 more than the price I have already paid. I tried a similar Columbia shoe at a local store and I am surprised that the size of shoes of the same manufacturer is this much different. I do not recommend buying Columbia shoes online unless you are ready to pay $6 return shipping fee plus spending extra time to get the right size for you. I don't think I would ever try buying shoes here again. Very sad. We need a physical Columbia store in Hawaii.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits well, great construction These boots are what I expect from Columbia--good construction, comfortable and able to be worn right out of the box--no breaking in required.
Date published: 2017-07-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Supportive I bought these for ankle support after an ankle injury and although they feel quite stiff out of the box, they were comfortable and supportive.
Date published: 2017-06-28
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Uncomfortable I purchased a 7.5 which is a half size up than my normal size. I've recently started wearing these after having then for over a year. They were great originally but my last few hikes I've been on these shoes have caused me pain on my ankles. They were rubbing of every step and caused me to have over sensitive pain. My ankles literally felt like rubber because of the constant rubbing. Honestly wish I can return these for low hiking boots. Very unsatisfied..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall great boot Bought this pair while they were on sale, very pleased and would buy again full price. They have a very nice and sleek look but they are still functional. Good grip and good comfort. Wore them for a short 3mi hike to break them in, the crease on the toes was a little uncomfortable but I'm sure it will wear with time, no rubbing other than that. Normally a 7.5, but ordered an 8 and am happy with the extra room I have for socks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Boots Ever! I got these boots for camping and I was skeptical about taking them over the Memorial Day weekend because in the past, I have experienced new boots rubbing the back of my leg, blisters, etc. until broken in. I wore these boots for 3 days straight with a lot of being on my feet. Took them off only to sleep. These were so comfortable and I didn't experience one blister, rubbing or foot ache! Highly recommend this Columbia product. I am super happy with my purchase!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Novice hiker After trying on various boots in store, I was instantly pleased with this pair. I sized up after reading guidelines for buying hiking boots. After initially walking around in them, I was a little bothered by the crease in the toes but after putting on proper socks it was not a bother at all. I tried them out on a sandy 7.5 mile hike and they were fabulous, great support but could have used a little more cushioning in the sole.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Comfy but leaks Comfortable light-weight hiking boots, nice fit, but they leak! My first pair started leaking profusely on a hike through dewy brush and they weren't even a year old. Returned them for a second pair. Yesterday was walking through dewy grass on a hike and again, they began leaking. Under a year old. Upon closer inspection, I noticed little gaps have developed where the sole is attached to the shoe on the side. My next pair of hiking boots will not be Columbia.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boot Get lots of compliments - even from guys.
Date published: 2017-05-10
Rated 3 out of 5 by from The tongue pops out Everything about the boot is good EXCEPT that no matter how I lace them, the tongue comes un-tucked within a minute, which lets in twigs, thorns and burrs, which gather around my ankle. It acts like a catcher's mitt, which isn't good when you're working in and around thorny blackberry bushes. This design flaw makes me not want to recommend this boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish and functional These boots were exactly what I was looking for! I hunted for a boot that was stylish and yet still comfortable to hike in. These are everything. They look good, are comfortable, are durable, and kept my feet dry and happy on the trails. Definitely recommend!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Painful toe crease I wanted so badly to love these, but unfortunately the toe creased every time I stepped and caused a painful pressure point across my toes. I tried to break them in around the house to no avail. I'll be returning these.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty, but small and uncomfortable The shoes are pretty. However, they run very narrow. The material is hard and buckles in the toes when you walk. It feels like it will pinch my toes off when moving at a normal pace. This isn't the normal rate for new boots needing breaking in. They are so snug they cut my circulation off and if I leave them loosened the tops bulge out. The laces are entirely to short as well for any comfortable adjustment. I could try them in a wider size, but I am not sure that would change the pinch points. I normally wear a 10 narrow, which can run a little large on me, especially in boots, but it gives my feet room to swell, so I ordered the standard to be safe.- That is not the case this time. Which is sad as the length seems perfect, which is a rare occasion for me in any shoe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots These boots are amazing. I bought them shortly before a camping trip to the Smoky Mountains and they barely needed to be worn ahead to break in. Very comfortable. I wear them to work sometimes when the weather is bad and have gotten a lot of compliments on them. I also love that Columbia didn't have to make them look like "girl boots" and that they just look like boots. I had a hard time finding a pair without pink and aqua and whatever that would fit me. I read that they ran a little small and people recommended going a half size up. I did so, nervously, and they fit perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hiking boot! Love this boot. So much that I bought a second pair for in the future. Extremely comfortable. I wore to go hiking in a rain forest and they kept my feet completely dry. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for desert hiking Love the leather toe and upper for desert hiking. Keeps out sand, gravel, and the random cholla spines! This is my second pair from Columbia with similar style--my old pair is retired from hiking since the tread is worn but it's still great for walking in sand and dirt on the flat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these!! I purchased mine at Cabela's, i live in Anchorage and needed shoes that i could put spikes on per the icy roads. These caught my eye and i instantly fell in love with them. There super light weight so you dont feel like your wearing lead shoes, the arch like some one stated is actually comfortable there are other brands that are way worse. There narrow which in my case is a necessity since i have small feet, i was really surprised that the 6.5 size actually fits since im usually looking for a a 5.5 or 6.0, I loved them so much that i bought my daughter a pair from Columbia.com, she is an avid hiker in Washington :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit true to size! I really like these boots they have awesome quality in the build; I don't yet know how they function as I haven't gotten to take them out yet but my husband has the men's version and loves them! One thing, most reviews on here say they run small but they are true to your athletic shoe size. I bought big and had to return (not fun) and then buy my true size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These boots are perfect! I live at Lake Tahoe, and I was looking for boots with great traction for ice & snow, and high enough for warmth in the cold. These filled the bill perfectly. They are warm, comfortable, fit well with thick winter socks (even 2 pairs!) and have terrific traction. I couldn't be happier with them. I bought two pairs in 2 colors, that's how great I think they are. I wear them pretty much every day in the winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great purchase I work outside much of the time and do a lot of hiking in my spare time. I've had a hard time finding a boot that can keep up with me but this boot has been great and is very tough. It is also very comfortable

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very durable but extremely comfortable boot. I love these boots for all around use. These boots are very well made, tough, good strong long lasting soles, and stitching has never failed. Extremely comfortable. I wear them out with jeans and in the woods when I go hunting. These are my all time favorite boots. Love them!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Women's Newton ridge plus hiking boot Wonderful hiking boot. I broke them in for only about a week and took them on miles of hiking on and off trails in the PNW and they were wonderful. They give great ankle and foot support, they have great traction, and are extremely comfortable to wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Boots I have hiked in snow, mud, rain, and ice. These boots keep your feet warm and dry. They have a good tread and keep you from fall on slippery surfaces. Keeps feet happy on rocky surfaces. I highly recommend these boots!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Has great features, BUT So I received these boots as a graduation present because I now reside in Colorado for college, and I love the outdoors. There are a few specific reasons I rated them 4/5, so i'll explain. They are my first pair of hiking boots and I made a very rookie mistake in not breaking them in in the slightest before heading out on a medium/moderate terrain 7.5 mile hike. Literally took them out of the box and headed out to the mountains. I did notice right off the bat though that even though I don't have a high arch, the arch of my right foot was aching within half an hour of the trek from lack of support there. I brushed it off and realized too late that preparation should have been taken beforehand, so I didn't have to suffer through 5 hours of being on my feet with this. The crease did hurt my toes, although I did expect at least that since the leather/product is brand new and needs time to soften. My hiking socks are also Columbia brand since it's been my favorite for winter boots etc, but I will be looking for new socks with more cushion to help with the lack of arch support and overall cushion in the sole of the boot, as well as looking for in-soles for more support. I really enjoy the aesthetic of the boot, and wished there was more support in the soles, and that the tongue of the boot didn't stick out funny as it did after being laced up, which may have played a role in why i'm a little sore around the ankles as well; the boot itself was a smidgen loose around my ankle because of that. If you have more of a flat foot, are ready to spend a little more money on some in-soles, or are just looking for a good quality boot with less cushion, these are right for you. The omni-grip is amazing and I didn't slip once whilst scaling boulders and they were a breeze on uneven terrain. I also got size 6.5 (quarry/ blue wave) as I usually wear a size 6, and I have the perfect amount of space for thick socks. Overall I feel very hopeful with these boots and that'll i'll be able to break them in and modify them to fit my needs because in a few weeks I am planning a 14er mountain hike, and these boots have a good frame to my standards, and I would love to actually be comfortable in my boots. I hope this review is helpful!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply wonderful boots I'm normally in between an 8 & 8.5, so I got size 8.5 and they were perfect, I could also wear two pears of thick socks and still be comfortable. I used these boots for the first time hiking up a mountain. I realized that probably wasn't the best decision because the boots had yet to be broken in, but I had no problems whatsoever. They kept my feet warm in 21° weather (& that's hard to do with my feet), kept them cool while I was hiking, and kept them dry in snow. To sum it up, I was in awe of how perfect these boots were and couldn't believe how good my feet felt after hiking, despite hiking at a constant incline for 8 hours straight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I wanted I'm new to hiking, and I wanted to get a pair of boots that would give me the support I needed. I haven't hiked in them yet, but wearing them around the yard so far they feel great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TRUE TO SIZE I read the reviews in this page and decided to buy a number more than I usualy get (I`m a 6 and got a 6.5). I can`t use them, probably will have to sell them. Do not make this mistake. I`m very sad because I loved this boots, they seem to be very confortable and I won`t be able to use them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wanted to like these boots.... Was really excited about these boots, and they fit me perfectly. I worked on breaking them in before using them on a larger hike. Once I used them on a larger hike to reach a summit, my feet were trashed. I got 5 blisters and they are still healing more than a week after the hike. I'm bummed cause I really wanted to hike a lot this summer, and waiting for my feet to heal sucks. I love the look of these boots and the durability seems good, but it's comfort evidently isn't good when going on longer hikes.
Date published: 2016-06-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4 years I had this pair of boots for 4 years. I wear them when I'm going in the woods, yard work, fishing, anything. It's not a winter boot, it's light, sturdy, comfy. My pair lasted 4 years before I had to retire them because they were no longer waterproof. I tried a different brand and regret it. I'll be buying another pair very soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice boot Boots feel very comfortable with room for a hiking sock. I like the style. Very good traction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shoe This is a very comfortable shoe. I have worn it working outside and just walking. The may be a bit narrow, but not too much that it bothers my feet. I wear a 7.5 shoe. I ordered the 8 and it fits perfectly. A little hard to get on at first until they loosen up a little. Would definitely recommend!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Boots Love these boots. I wear them for my job when I work out in the field and they are very comfortable.
Date published: 2016-03-29
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Runs a little wide, Feels kind of cheap I run between a 7.5 and an 8, so ordered an 8. It runs just a tad big both in length and width, but I have narrow feet so anyone with normal feet is probably fine. The shoes in general have a great design. I like the simplistic look of them and the shape of the toe - though I wish the brown wasn't so deep in color. Columbia could get a lot of traction selling these shoes with a lighter brown and some colorful laces. The shoes do feel a little bit cheaply made compared to other Columbia shoes. I'm returning them because of the wide fit, however.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Work or Outdoors I bought this because I needed new waterproof boots for when I would be outside working in the rain. I have been outside in torrential downpours and it is AMAZING!! My feet were dry and comfortable and that was the only reason I could tolerate such weather! Only thing is that the boots aren't too great in weather below 32 degrees F, need thick socks and toe warmers!!! Only thing is that the material immediately around the toes is wearing down, but I think that it will be okay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pair of all weather hiking boots. Wore it in the snow, hiked with it in the rain, and fell into a river hiking with them on. My socks remained dry, and my feet comfy. Better and more durable than my sneakers, and I love my sneakers. They do run a little bit big, but I still got my original size and wore thick socks with them while hiking.
