It has kept me totally dry whether It be rain, waves or splash. It breathes well as I haven't over heated. The fit is perfect. I am short, petite and wear an xs. I love this jacket!

Wore it for the first time on a weekend backpacking trip that started with rain and ended with snow & whipping wind. It did a great job of both blocking the wind and keeping me dry in all of these conditions. Fit comfortably over just a base layer in the rain AND with two warm layers in between when the temperature dropped. Definitely my new go-to for an outer layer on camping trips!

Rated 5 out of 5 by countrygirlinthecity from Perfection Three days after this jacket arrived having learned my lesson about freezing rain at mountain bike races, I got the chance to test this jacket. Three hours in 36° rain (not drizzle) and I was completely dry. I bought my usual shirt size and was able to wear my puffer jacket underneath, so I was also warm. I also have longish arms and the cuffs go past my wrists. Major upgrade for me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kourts from Absolutely Awesome I'm an avid hiker and backpacker in OR, and have never had a GoreTex/OutDry/any of the other varieties of actual waterproof jacket. I decided to give this one a try. I will preface this by saying that I've only worn this for a couple days, but those couple days were in a complete downpour while camping. Pros: Kept me dry. The only moisture on the inside was from where my layers underneath got wet prior to putting this sucker on. Thus far, seems very durable (again, only have worn it for a couple days in a complete downpour). I was pulling a kayak out of the water and tripped on a rock, flying backwards onto the gravel on my back, hitting HARD. Not even a nick on the jacket, much to my relief. Kept me dry while kayaking; at least my upper half. Cons: The hood is a little weird and hard to adjust right. I feel like it is either too high on my head, or too low over my eyes. I just haven't zoned it in right, yet. Totally functional, just going to take some adjustment. The collar is a little weird for me under the chin. If I don't have it zipped all the way up, it pushes weird against my neck and chin. Zipped all the way up, it covers my mouth and my breath causes condensation inside. A medium fits me, but they are rather form fitting, so if you plan on wearing any layers underneath, you will probably need to size up. I was able to wear my base layer and a hoodie with this over it. I highly recommend giving this jacket a try. We will see how it works in Maine in a month!

Rated 1 out of 5 by 11KB from Not Water Proof I was outside for maybe an hour in light rain. Jacket didn't bead like my old columbia jacket that also said it was waterproof. Soaked right through to my sweatshirt underneath. Defeats the purpose of having a rain jacket.
