Women's Pardon My Trench™ Rain Jacket - Plus Size is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 69.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice light rain jacket I ordered a 2X in the Jewel (turquoise) color and I love it. It fits very well. I find that I do not need to use the belt...I just left it as I received it from Columbia, which is in a neat bow in the back. The length is perfect for me. I am 5'8" and the hem hits mid-thigh. The front zip pockets are perfect. They are big enough to put my hands in even with my keys and phone in them (with room to boot) and deep enough that nothing falls out of them when I sit down. I have not tried it in the rain yet. To me, the material seems like it will repel rain quite well. I am glad that the front of the jacket has snaps as well as at the wrists. My 2 other Columbia coats have velcro and it drives me bonkers. LOL!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plus comfort Very difficult to find extended sizes in store, limited styles online. This is my favorite all purpose rain jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the spring showers headed our way!! I purchased this in the Red Camellia to wear on rainy days (especially when working). I did order a size up because I wanted to be able to fit sweatshirts underneath. I work for the USPS and bundling up - especially here on Cape Cod - is essential. The Red Camellia is a fun color and it looks great with my polka dot rain boots. The hood closes nicely to help with the wind. The belt makes the trench coat style especially flattering. The sleeves are adjustable around your wrist to keep your arms dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from red on point Love my red rain jacket and also like the length. its really good to wear when its raining.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and Perfect! This coat is not only beautifully made, but the colors are to die for! I purchased the yellow ray color and it just makes me feel so good and happy inside! Funny how a little ray of sunshine does that for us! I am very very pleased with my purchase, and I HIGHLY recommend this product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Adorable jacket-get soaked I absolutely adore this jacket--it is so cute and flattering. However, it is water repellent not waterproof and EVERY TIME I wear it I get soaked through. A rain jacket that isn't waterproof is not useful. It breaks my heart, because this jacket is so darn cute, but it is unusable. Seriously, I get soaked every time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mild Weather Raincoat This raincoat is super light to wear and effective. I loved how secure one can make the coat with all the buttons, zipper and the tie for the hoodie. This coat can handle light and heavy rain.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tight in the shoulders. I ordered my mom a 2x according to the size chart. I would say this jacket runs a little small. It was tight in the shoulders and is shorter than I thought it would be. Also, the color was more red than what the picture depicts--wasn't a big deal, but worth noting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light jacket I bought this for my mom, who said “Raincoat fits great. What a nice jacket, double zipper, zippered pockets, big hood. I love it!”

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pardon My Trench This coat is Perfect for Oregon! I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Singing in the Rain This trench is flattering on, while it keeps me dry and comfy in heavy rain. The cut allows excellent mobility and function. Casual, yet looks a little dressier than most rain gear. Versatile light weight, perfect for warmer rainy days or to wear layers beneath in cooler temps with its generous fit, but not cumbersome. Rolls up nice and compact to stow in my bag when not needed. Truly great value for durable fabric, quality craftsmanship and smart looking fashion savvy. I now own 3; they're THAT GOOD!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleek and functional! Great jacket, roomy enough to layer underneath. The double direction zipper is a nice feature. This jacket is a daily go to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great raincoat! I absolutely love this coat! Length is great, fit is flattering. It is my new go to coat for work and play.
Date published: 2017-10-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from True to Size After reading the reviews I had some concerns about the size as they stated it runs larger. However, this jacket is very true to size. I didn't size up or down and it fits well. It's not overly loose for many items underneath, so I would order the size you think you need.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice! I bought this coat for an upcoming trip to Ireland and overall it's a very nice coat. The only thing I would change is the belt-It's completely attached to the waist and you cannot remove it. I would have liked it more if it gave you the option to wear without the belt, but overall I'm happy with my purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great style but lacks ventilation I bought this jacket for a 3 week trip to Iceland and Northern Europe this summer. This worked well in the rain, mist and cooler windy days. It kept the chill out and repelled water well. This is a light weight jacket that really held up well for traveling which often involved getting shoved into a backpack, suitcase, day bag, locker, etc. I really like the attached belt, but wish the straps were just a bit longer. I bought a size larger than I normally wear so I could have 2-3 light layers underneath it without it being too bulky or tight. My only complaint is that this design of this jacket doesn't have enough ventilation in it and the entire inside of the jacket was often wet from condensation. Seriously, the entire lining was SOAKING WET to the point that my clothes were damp too. I had to go to the museum and restaurant bathrooms to wipe down the inside of my coat with paper towels and use the hand dryers to dry out my clothes. I could understand if we were hiking or doing something strenuous, but we were just walking around the city or riding on the bus/tram. As much as I like the style and functionality of this jacket, I think it will need to be returned. I just can't deal with the interior moisture issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from rain coat haven't had an opportunity to use it much yet, just a wee bit of a concern on breathability, may be hot (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket! This jacket fits great and looks great. It repels water very well. It has great function but it still cute.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great features and great style. Very nice length. I personally do not like that the belt does not detach though. Good price. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Jacket for Many Occasions I bought this as a sports jacket, but find that it is the perfect one for folding up and dragging around in case of wind or rain. I bought it sized generously so I could wear a wool jacket or quilted vest underneath. The 2-way zipper, vented back yoke, hood, and breathable water-proof fabric were that interested me in this jacket.
Date published: 2017-04-22
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than the other reviews made me think For a similar price, it is difficult to find a good quality plus size rain jacket. I decided to try this one for its reasonable price point compared to the competitors. I was worried after reading the other reviews, but as a savvy outdoors-woman, I knew this was a SHELL coat, which means that if you don't layer under it, you may get the sensation of cold/wet transfer to your skin. Overall, water beads on the surface of this coat and doesn't appear to soak through, although I haven't yet tried it in prolonged wet weather. The zipper on mine was perfectly good (some reviewers thought it was hard to do up, but it's really not) and the double zipper is great for undoing from the bottom up to allow for more comfortable wear while sitting (in a car, for example) or to keep the coat unzipped but not windblown. The size was a bit larger than I anticipated (2X fit me easily with room for a fairly bulky sweater underneath - I wear a size 20 top and bottom). And I had actually looked at the sizing measurements and measured myself. I was on the cusp of 1X and 2X so I ordered the larger size to allow for a sweater layer for cooler weather. If I intend to be out in the rain for a very prolonged time, I might toss a small poncho in my bag for extra protection, but again, I haven't yet tried this coat out in the pouring rain for very long. The back vent is fantastic for allowing air flow - although armpit vents would be make this a better hiking coat. I love the colour (red/coral) and the waistbelt helps define my waist instead of normal plus size coats which just hang and make me look round. Overall - a very good review. I can't wait to bring this on my trip to Scotland this summer where it will be truly battle tested in the rain and I will post a follow up review after standing out in some pouring rain. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shape, not breathable The shape is great and has a nice professional and feminine cut. It is nice and lightweight but I really wish it was fully lined like the Arcadia. It is not breathable and you end up pretty damp inside if you do any sort of physical activity. Great for wearing to work, but definitely a no go for hiking. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Cute I've only just got this but I love it. It fits perfectly. The style is cute and flattering. It is light weight but not cheap feeling in anyway. We'll see how it does in heavy rain, but so far it is just what I wanted!
Date published: 2017-03-29
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight, feminine, nice color This had a lot of the features I was looking for. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it doesn't have underarm air holes or back ventilation. I like it's lightweight portability, practical color and feminine length and belt to accent waistline.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flattering Fit I'm in love with this rain coat. It has a very flattering fit for plus size. Nice long arms too. The red is gorgeous.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but zipper doesn't work well I really liked this jacket when I saw it in the store but the zipper was incredibly hard to get going and there was only one left in my size. So, I ordered it online, but have the same problem. Luckily there are snaps to use instead. Rest of the jacket is really good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Customer service I was happy with my purchase and was very impressed with the ease of ordering, the helpfulness of REAL people in customer service and the ease of returning item that didn't fit. I will come back here for any future needs and will recommend this site.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Color was as expected though Even though the trench rain jacket didn't fit me properly, it's still a nice jacket & seems to block out the elements. The sleeves were a little short & I don't have hips so I looked nothing near the model.
Date published: 2016-04-27
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Versatile Rain Jacket I loved this jacket, I felt that it was a little large though. It is a great rain jacket for Spring/Summer. Mine seemed to be a bit bigger than I was expecting but because it is a light rain jacket, it will work with a sweater underneath. My only complaint is that the belt tends to untie a decent amount
Date published: 2016-04-20
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Basic I wanted a light jacket for the spring so I ordered this. Rec'd it and yes it's light - I could probably fold it up and put it in my purse if I didn't need to wear it. I also like that it's a longer jacket and covers my behind. What I don't like: the waist tie is attached to the jacket so I looks funny if not tied. The cuffs have buttons and even the tightest adjustment is too wide and still slips my entire hand through it. Other than that, it's okay for what I need. It's not a bad jacket but I can't recommend it if I'm not totally satisfied with it myself.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not impressed Looks & feels cheap. I'm bought 3 different Columbia jackets in various styles/ sizes, but must say I'm highly disappointed. Very cheap quality even at the sale price :-/

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I Love The Jacket the only thing I don't like The Columbia Logo Not on it It would Bring more to it with a White Logo
Date published: 2016-03-16
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Water Resistant I bought this knowing full-well that it was just a shell. All I wanted was something water resistant. I wore this in a light rain and my arms were soaked. Did it do a better job than a cotton sweatshirt? Yes. Did it do the job I expected of a trench coat with 'rain' in it's name? Absolutely not. Returning it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A gift for my wife Saw this on sale and bought it for my wife as a just because gift. I have not given it to her yet but it looks very nice and light weight.
Date published: 2016-01-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect rain jacket and day layer I'm obsessed with this jacket. The length is great, long enough to cover your bottom in the back and all necessary parts in the front. The waist belt makes for a feminine shape, but the jacket is casual for running around in tennis shoes. The quality is great, and the jacket is thin and unlined which works well for rain without the cold. It was the ideal top layer while hiking in the PNW last week. I highly recommend it!
Date published: 2016-01-07
Rated 3 out of 5 by from rain jacket ran a bit larger than i expected, and the material was a lot stiffer than i was looking for. it was sort of an uncomfortable fabric, but i suppose it would be light and useful if you were out in the pouring rain. ultimately i returned this product, but i'm sure it would work well as a rain coat, just not what i was looking for particularly.
Date published: 2016-01-01
Rated 3 out of 5 by from good rain jacket Bought for my mom. Pictures looked a lot better online. Looked thicker than it actually was. But if used just as a outer rain jacket it does the job. Material was really thin.
Date published: 2015-12-20
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Inferior quality I have many Columbia products and find the quality to be very good. When I received the trench coat which I ordered online, I was very disappointed. The material was terrible - cheap, almost like a good drop cloth. And no Columbia logo - not surprising since the quality is so bad. Needless to say, I returned it.
Date published: 2015-12-17
Rated 1 out of 5 by from don't bother Looks nice online but once you get it it just looks like a garbage bag and not like the picture at all. Horrible quality and the zipper gets stuck every time I attempted to try and wear it. Stupidly took the tags off otherwise I would've returned this.
Date published: 2015-11-21
Rated 5 out of 5 by from everyday rain coat perfect, great for shopping, or anytime you have to dash out in the rain. quality is great, thank you

Rated 3 out of 5 by from "Rain" Jacket... I fell in love with the jacket (and the price), so I bought it even after reading mixed reviews about the jacket's poor waterproofing. Although a lovely coat, I would never consider it a "rain jacket" as it's much more water resistant than waterproof. I wore it in light rain with an umbrella and it somehow still let water through. I'm guessing it has to do with the lack of lining in the jacket. Although I have gotten a lot of compliments on the coat and am still a Columbia fan, I'm ultimately disappointed with the quality of this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great jacket!! This jacket is soo confortable!! It fits me to a T!!! It moves with me very well during the rainy times.
Date published: 2015-10-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Packable, light, stylish This jacket is quite stylish and is great for travel. It packs light and takes up little room.
Date published: 2015-10-12
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not exactly as pictured; pink drawcord I ordered this jacket in peatmoss. The style, weight, and fit is great. The major problem is that the peatmoss jacket is shown with a green drawcord around the hood and the one I received has a bright pink cord. I ordered this directly from Columbia and not a department store (where I get a discount for having a credit card and could have purchased this slightly cheaper) specifically because Columbia's was pictured with a green drawstring and I think this is a nicer, more grown-up, mature look. The pink makes it look cheap.
Date published: 2015-09-26
Rated 5 out of 5 by from loved this raincoat Comfortable. Roomy. Pockets. Belted. All awesome. The length was perfect. I wore when out for a casual walk, but also over my work clothes. Sadly, I left it in a rental car and I need to buy a new one. Getting the same exact jacket, since I loved it so much.
Date published: 2015-08-31
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Crunchy This rain coat is okay. I was disappointed upon receipt because it is crunchy. Another reviewer said it wasn't, but it is. I really like the material in the "Sweet As" jackets but this is not like that. It has nice hood coverage and adjustable wrist snaps though and it is a good length. A 1x fit well. I am a 16-18.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pardon My Trench I like my trench coat it came fast in delivery, cost was about what I expected to pay. Was disappointed that I had to go online to get it, I went to Columbia in the outlet mall in Lincoln City to get one and they didn't have it, and was glad that I went and bought a coat at the mall. I had to take it back because it was too small, So I knew that ordering online what size I had to get, They run about two sizes small. I like the one I have it is going to do the job I wanted. I wanted a coat that came down over my hips and this one does. Most coats are hip level.
Date published: 2015-04-23
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like it overall I like this jacket, the style is perfect for an easy hike or a rainy day in the city. The picture on the site does not representative of the actual product. In fact, I think it is actually a different item all together. The color is more of a olive drab (the picture makes it look more of a brownish green) and there is no drawstring in the hood at all. The length is great, coming long over the hips. I wore it walking around Washington DC the other day, and it there is very little ventilation, and no lining, so it can get a bit sweaty. But, for a lightweight rain jacket, I like it.
