Comfy Board Shorts!
I've been looking for a women's board short style short to wear for hiking along the FL coastline. I bought these, and they are perfect! Just the right length, and the material is very comfortable. Now I can easily transition from a coastal trail hike to a beach walk! These are a winner!

Great long shorts
I love these shorts, they are comfortable and casual. They are able to go from yoga to sailing or gardening with no problems. They only have one pocket but it is a nice large pocket with a zipper which holds my I-phone 5s and keys.

Great shorts
Love these shorts, great for the boat and fishing when you want to be a little more covered up.
They do run a little large, I normally wear a size 10 in pants I ordered these in a large and a medium. They both fit but large is a little lose in the waist and the medium were a little snug in the waist (but not uncomfortably snug) but I opted for the large to fit better over a wet swimsuit. But all in all I love these shorts. I ordered both the black and gray ones.

Great fit
I found shopping for board shorts a challenge in finding the right fit. Having read the reviews prior to making this purchase, it seems fit description varies from big, small and true. We are all built differently, but for me they were true to size and I liked the length. They fit better than similar items I have purchased in the past. Great for water-sports.

5 Days Kayaking - Best Board Shorts
Ordered these shorts in the 12th hour prior to my recent 5 day kayaking trip. I normally wear large/size 10 so I ordered a large despite it said medium was 8 to 10. Currently I'm in the awkward stage of being halfway between medium and large, I never know without trying something on. Since I don't like anything tight on my stomach being diabetic and subject to bloat I ordered the large to be on the safe side. When these arrived they were a tad bit looser then I would have liked but that is on me, not Columbia. Due to the lateness of ordering I didn't have time to exchange so I took them with me anyway. I purchased 3 board shorts and 3 swim shirts, 2 from other name brand competitors, whom I won't name. I didn't wear these shorts till day 3 but then I wore them on day 4 and day 5! Loved these so much, ordering another pair, only medium this time!
The quality of the these are what one expects from Columbia, top of the line. The material is very rugged, yet soft on your skin, light and despite they are black keep you cool all day. The cut is very feminine and flattering! These also dry very quickly, hung them on the clothesline and by morning they were completely dry despite the high level of humidity.
If you are reading this it tells me you're considering purchasing these. Go for it, you will be very happy you did!

Perfect sizing, shape, style and fabric
These board shorts have everything I wanted. Perfect fit. Long enough but not flared at the bottom. Thin but comfortable--easy to pack. Protects from the sun. And, has that flat almost hidden zipper pocket to slip in a key and a card without fear of losing them in the water. I will live in these,

A size medium is more like a large.
Interesting I would find these because I had put on a pair of my husband's board shorts to swim in and thought how lucky guys are that they can wear something so comfortable. They don't have to wriggle into swimsuits. So when I got these they are wonderful! Every bit as good as my husbands. (No netting inside like men's)
They are of extreme quality and quick drying.
However! They are huge around my waist! Even cinched up to the tightest possible they gap. I always wear a medium. Just be prepared to send them back for a smaller size.

Great board short
At 61, I am much more comfortable with a board short and tankini top. These shorts are great for that. I am 5'4" and 128 lbs. and the small was just right. Like the tapered leg. Some shorts are too baggy. Bought the grey, tempted to buy another in different color I like them so much!

Great Fishing and Beach shorts
I bought these for a recent boating trip. They are very comfortable, in fact they are the most comfortable shorts I have ever worn. They have stretch to them. They do run a little large. I'm 5'4 and 200 lbs and got the extra large.
I could have gone with the large but I'm keeping these, I'm wearing them again tomorrow for another fishing trip.
